DigitalPersona Personal
I continued to see the alternative way of logging in my notebook, sliding my finger. I was curious to know who, if I fact research and discovered that Persona was supposed to be already installed on my ProBook. So I followed the instructions and it looks in my Start menu programs, but it was not to be found. Thinking that I don't quite understand, I downloaded a compatible for Windows 7 32 bit. He not only did not work when I installed it, I got an error message saying 'the procedure entry point not found DPFPAthenticate in DPFPApi.DLL dynamic link library' now, whenever I connect or out of my netbook, I get the same message, flashing four times before it lets me do anything at all.
Can I get assistance or advice?

"Digital persona" finger print work with Firefox password manager?
My computer has a fingerprint reader that I use to store my passwords to log in to Web sites. It works with internet explore, but have not been able to use it with Firefox. When you try to use the message says 'the address has not been heard. " "Firefox doesn't know how to open this address, because the Protocol (daq) is not associated with any program."
My software has been loaded on the computer and is named "digital Persona".I see in your list of "More system details" (thanks!) that the DigitalPersona extension is disabled. This indicates that the extension contains a list of compatible versions of Firefox and your version is not included. This is not a new problem with this software, unfortunately.
In March 2011, another volunteer found this:
"Please contact DigitalPersona. There will be no update for DigitalPersona Personal releases in the future. There will be no update for Firefox 4 and Internet Explorer 9. If they work they work, if they do not work with DPPersonal, then you'll have to decide to keep DPPersonal and waive 4 Firefox or IE 9, or vice versa. DigitalPersona leaves the consumer market and focuses on business applications. In fact, DigitalPersona Personal will be more sustained after mid-April of this year. Some volunteers have suggested to test a different extension: Fingerfox (SE). It claims to support DigitalPersona 2.0. An updated version is available from the Web site: http://amews.net/products/fingerfox/download/. If you try it, may realize you if it works?

Download driver fingerprint AuthenTec here (installator worm 8.5.4.46, driver, see 8.5.0.251).
Extract it with WinRar.
There are two folders:
- x 86-containing the driver for 32-bit Windows 7;
- x 64-containing the driver for Windows 7 64 bit.
Install the driver appropriate for your system.

Then download and install DigitalPersona Personal worm 4.10.3790:

Restart the system.

Digital Persona fingerprint reader
I have a HDX 18 t. It came with windows vista x 64 and I have upgraded to windows 7 x 64. After the upgrade the integrated digital persona fingerprint reader is no longer in effect. The fingerprint reader is not detected. I tried to uninstall, reinstall and update the drivers. Currently, I have the latest version of the software for the installed fingerprint (4.11.3826) reader. The icon for the fingerprint reader has 'x' on it which indicates that the drive is not detected.
I've already sent to the post:
I followed the instructions for part A on install fingerprint driver digital validity and the DigitalPersona Personal software. However, after my computer restarted, a message appeared and said: "the fingerprint reader could not be detected. Reinstall it using the recovery of applications and drivers disk provided with your system. »
Previously, I tried unistalling digital persona completely and reinstall it from the driver and application recovery disk. However, this does not work any more.
I think the recovery disk does not work because it was made for windows vista. The only way (at least AFAIK), I was able to successfully use this disc would be to reinstall vista and then reinstall the driver and application recovery disk. However I would no longer have windows 7 which I've already paid for.
I also tried to contact Digital Persona about the issue online, I had no great success however.
If someone can tell me at least who can help me, I would be very happy. I tried several different solutions many times, and it becomes frustrating. I just want to use the fingerprint reader that's installed in my computer. I want to keep windows 7, so I won't downgrade for the fingerprint reader. This problem persisted for several months now and I want to be treated.
I have enough confidence in my computer skills to be able to follow the instructions given for me online, but I am not above having a technician help me. So if it's necessary I would force quickly. The only thing I want to avoid shipping my computer anywhere since I use everyday to school.
I apologize for the length of the post. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thank you.
After many days a lot of work, I finally found the solution for VFS301 of a validity sensor works with Digital Persona on Win 7 64 bit because it is supposed to.
NOT the drivers INSTALL WBF all sites or drivermax... These drivers allow only logging in Win7 and no website, sign in.
(1) first of all UNINSTALL all software and the DDK (Driver validity)...
Make sure that also go to the control panel =>-online Validity Sensor Device Manager
UNINSTALL the sensor and check "erase the software driver for this device.
(2) then make sure you REBOOT
(3) DOWNLOAD and install validity of HP drivers

(4) REBOOT AGAIN... it is important
(5) Download Digital Persona worm 4.11.3805 the link below

Click the "Update" column to sort the latest updated files first in the list
You will have a folder with {05B54AFA-28C6-4FED-A0E6-3F235641DA1D}<============= example="" only="" it="" will="" be="" different="" on="" your="">
Go to the folder and you will see some ini files with a file named 'drivers.prq fingerprint reader.
Open "fingerprint reader drivers.prq" in notepad.exe
Delete all lines of text in the file 'fingerprint reader drivers.prq' and save the empty file.
(9) back to the Digital Persona installation dialog box referred to in point 6
Now, click on INSTALL and let it install the software
He will open the same file again and continue with the installation...
When it asks to RESTART, click YES
(10) after the REBOOT, the fingerprint reader works without a hitch.

in fact, I formatted the laptop and redownloaded all drivers on the official site for my laptop model. as an attempt to downgrade the pilot that another post never seemed work.so now everything works fine and I don't update the software driver or digitalpersona as I used everything keep on laptop to update.

I have a Pavilion TX2510us running DigitalPersona Personal version 3.1.0.3276. Finger print recognition OK jobs all the time. I can access sites protected by password on Internet Explorer and Firefox. I also noticed that this program has added an extension on firefox so I can use the fingerprint to access websites on firefox.
When you browse the internet on Firefox, I had trouble downloading all kind of files. When I click on the link for a file, nothing happens. In any case... I started looking for a solution and came with a lot of people who also report this issue. DigitalPersona the addon on firefox 3 let wont download any type of file when you click it.
(There are only 2 solutions to this issue: 1) disable the DigitalPersona Personal extension on firefox. 2) rather than be a left click the download link, click Center to open in a new tab.
DigitalPersona not offer not any kind of support for this personal software and I really hope that HP takes a look.

I had if previously in another forum trought a link rapidshare... so far, it has solved most of my problems with FF3 and IE8... sometimes, a FF3 tab freezes (when I hit the BACK button)... so I need to close tab (CTRL + T) or reopen a new (CTRL + SHIFT + T) in front of the whole program freezes...
so for those of you who do not have the version 4.01, go to the support page at HP pc and get it as soon as POSSIBLE!

Digital persona not to find the device of the fingerprints of validity
Hello, I have a Dell laptop with Windows 7 Professional and a validity vfs300 fingerprint sensor.
In Device Manager, the biometric device displays fine without problems in the form 'Validity Sensor.
(driver version number 2.1.0.2)
My problem is:
I have DigitalPersona Personal Software updated to version 4.11.3825
(the most common starting from 04/05/10) and it will not detect the validity sensor.
Also, the choice of the biometric device under the Control Panel does not exist.
Honestly, I wouldn't even need DigitalPersona if Validity Sensor was able to appear in Control Panel of Windows 7, but I can say that this new feature is half baked. I guess it's bad drivers.

Things you need to know and do before the upgrade:
1 HP may require that reinstall you Vista back if you have hardware problems to solve the.
2 HP will not help you if you have software problems because these models are not officially supported
with Windows 7.
3. before you upgrade to Windows 7 will make it please Vista Recovery CD/DVD. How all the information here.

Windows 7 Upgrade Guide for dv2000 models
Statement:
You use this guide at your own risk. I take no responsibility for any problem.
Things you need to know and do before the upgrade:
1 HP may require that reinstall you Vista back if you have hardware problems to solve the.
2 HP will not help you if you have software problems because these models do not have their support
with Windows 7 system.
3. before you upgrade to Windows 7 will make it please Vista Recovery CD/DVD. How all the information here.
4. all drivers for Vista and preinstalled by HP software for your model are in the folder in C:\swsetup .
If you still have on your HARD drive, then copy this folder on a CD/DVD. You may need them one day.
5. users with AMD processors have indicated that their models dv2000 were very quickly overheated after installation

If you have installed all the drivers for graphics card nVidia, then before you install either version, you will need

How to install Windows 7?
1. download driver here (for 32-bit Win7) or here (for Win7 64 bit) double click and select extract,
2 download from this site with the drivers also modified INF and replace original INF in extracted folder,.
3 install and reboot.
OPTION 3
Last thing you can do is install graphic driver from Windows Update.
Note:
Don't forget to first uninstall previous graphics driver.

Greetings! I tried to download the HP Support Assistant, as suggested. It did download the software DigitalPersona Personal once more, but was unable to detect the fingerprint reader / player. If this solution does NOT work.
Please update your information with the following link to download AuthenTec fingerprint reader driver to be used with the DigitalPersona Personal software that solved the problem for me.

Pavilion dv4: simplepass identity protection
I've upgraded from Vista to windows 7, and now the SimplePass identity protection (previously, DigitalPersona Personal 4.0) will not work. The software loaded, but it says the fingerprint detector is not installed and asks me to install it. I can't find a way to do this. Help, please. Thank you.

I installed the AuthenTec Inc AES1610 fingerprint driver and installed the DigitalPersona Personal Software, which is available in the drivers from HP.com Web site in my computer model. Everything installed, the pilot acknowledged the material, everything ok... but the DigitalPersona Personal is not find the biometric device!

Thank you for your attention, but I forgot to say, I'm not a user friendly... I am user in advance with the computer. I really tried to do a lot of things to fix this issue... drivers of change, DigitalPersona versions... nothing help! After a year of not using my fingerprints fingerprints, I decide to try to solve this problem again... and after a hard looking for the answer... I found this topic who solve my problem!
If you work in HP, I would like to make a complaint. I don't understand, I know a lot of users who have the same problem as me, and HP does nothing to try to resolve that... the answer is simple... you can see in the above link!
In any case, my case is closed... problem solved! No thanks to HP, but thanks to advanced users and AuthenTec support!
