NAT on Xbox Live with WRT54GS problem

I have a WRT54GS v2 and I tried to solve the NAT problem I had whenever I have test Xbox Live.  I felt like I've done the research so much on this and I can not get it out of a moderate or strict NAT.  I did the port of release for the 88 and 3074-port, feature disabled the "block internet anonymous requests" and updated to the latest firmware and I have nothing will open the NAT.  This is the first time that I ever had a NAT problem with a Linksys router hooked up to my Xbox 360 and I want to know once and for all, what steps I must take to open the NAT.  Can someone please... Please... Please give me some instructions step by step on how to open the NAT?

First upgrade the Firmware of the router... Download the Firmware from here , after downloading the firmware, you must update the firmware...

Follow these steps to upgrade the firmware of the device: -.
Open an Internet Explorer browser page. In the address bar type - 192.168.1.1
Let the empty user name & password use admin lowercase...
Click the 'Administration' tab - then click on the 'Upgrade Firmware' under the tab-here, click on 'Browse' and navigate the .bin firmware file and click on "Upgrade"...
Wait a few seconds until it shows that "the update is successful," after the upgrade of the firmware, click on "Reboot" and you will be returned to the same page OR it will say 'cannot display the Page.

Press and hold the reset for 30 seconds button.
Then, unplug the Dungeon to be able to hold down the reset button for another Seconds.Plug 30 the power back in and hold the reset button for 30 Seconds.Release the reset button. Now, you will need to reconfigure your router...

If your ISP is cable follow this

If your ISP is DSL follow this

For X - Box: click on the tab "Games and Applications" and then click the sub-tab "Port Range Forwarding"...

(1) on the first line in the box, type Application in the Xbox, in the start box, type 88 and type of box in 88, leave the Protocol as and under type 192.168.1.20 ip address and check the box to enable...

(2) on the second line in the box of Application in Xbox1, in the start box, type type in 3074 and end in 3074 box type, leave the Protocol as and under type 192.168.1.20 ip address and check the enable box and click on save settings...

(3) once you return to the game to the top page, click the Security tab and uncheck block anonymous Internet requests and click on save settings...

4) click on Setup and change the size of the MTU to 1452 and click on save settings...

(5) now assign the IP given on your Xbox
Go to the network settings on your X - Box, then go to the settings of IP address and select manual ip/static ip and enter in this

IP address:-192.168.1.20 default :-255.255.255.0 gateway/gateway/router subnet mask:-192.168.1.1... Save settings...

(6) also assign addresses dns on Xbox
Primary DNS:-4.2.2.2... Secondary dns:-192.168.1.1... Save settings...

(7) turn off your modem, router and Xbox... Wait a minute...

(8) plug the power to the modem first, wait a minute and plug the router power cable, wait another minute and turn the Xbox and... test it connects...

  • NAT on XBOX 360 with WRT150N problems

    Hey guys,.

For some reason, we had some problems with our NAT type for our xbox. We have a good (green) connection, but the NAT type always appears as "moderate." Right now, we use the (configured for the xbox) standard wireless card to connect to our router (WRT150N).

I tried power cycling, manually enter the IP address, mask and gateway, but nothing has worked... any suggestions?

Generally a moderate NAT problem is due to two devices on a network running NAT.  Your router is probably related to the ISP device providing NAT service.  East - similar to the configuration of your network?

To remedy this, you can put your modem in Bridge mode device, which will require a little research according to the make and model.

An easier way to get around this problem is to configure your network so that your router runs only as a switch.  You will need to attach the modem to the router's LAN port and keep the unused WAN port and turn off DHCP on the router.

If you have already taken steps to eliminate any other NAT device, you can view more details about your ISP, networking and other components and maybe get a little more help.

  • Xbox Live with Mobile access point

Someone had some luck using Xbox Live with the Mobile Hotspot app on Verizon's network? I was finally able to connect to Live using an open network, such as using WPA2 has never worked. However, it doesn't have any way for me to get a NAT open, so I can't play with most of my friends.

And Yes, before you say anything, I know games by phone is not large. But it is faster than the satellite connection, I'm stuck with otherwise.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Hello and welcome to the forums;

According to some google actually associated research to be able to connect to Live but not to join friends, looks like the Xbox 360 may need some specific ports forwarded. Unfortunately for now, the Mobile Hotspot app doesn't support port forwarding, and I suspect that's the reason of your difficulties.

I would recommend which suggests adding this feature for our developers to www.palm.com/feedback .

  • Linksys E3000 NAT open Xbox Live settings

    Hi all

I recently upgraded my the WRT160n V3 to the E3000 router. I had the port to the front of my old 160n to get my game Xbox Live NAT settings to OPEN.  When I switched on the router for the new E3000, my Xbox Live settings are returned to the Medium (medium). I assumed that this would have happened since this is a new installation/router.

Can someone help me configure my E3000 and Xbox Live so I can have my open NAT settings?  I only need to configure the Xbox 1. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!!!

The previous is large enough and generally useless for the configuration of the E3000 to facilitate capacity NAT open xbox live connections. 1 make sure you have a static IP assignment for the xbox an assignment of dhcp for the mac address of the xbox in creating or statically assigning an ip address to the xbox outside the dhcp scope, you set but on the same network / subnet of course. then go to the tab under applications and games and the prior port 3074, single port forwarding, both internal and external, to the IP address of your xbox. Name the rule openNAT or something that you will recognize. put a cheeck in the box to enable the rule and click on save settings to activate. Your xbox should now work without complaint about the need for open NAT xbox live test and gameplay should work just fine.

  • Xbox Live with ICS and WRT54g2

I have a PC with ICS turned on and my xbox connected via ethernet.  The PC is connected wireless to my WRT54g2.  For the life of me, I can't configure my xbox setting network correctly.  Once I logged with the help of the network on the Xbox support page using 192.168.0.2 but I can't forward ports in this way to open my NAT. I had NAT MODERATE warning.

Can someone please help me get this straightened out?  What I am doing wrong?

1 how the WRT is connected to the modem? Via the internet port?

    2. If you run ICS on a PC then the PC works as another router. You have now two chained routers: the WRT and the PC. Implementation of the port on the only WRT redirects will not change a thing because you do the port even redirects on your PC as well.

    3. the best recommendation: keep it simple. Do pass a wire of your WRT to your xbox or get a wireless adapter for the xbox to connect directly. Connection through your WRT and your PC ICS to your xbox is simply a mess. Even if you got all the ports properly transmitted, I won't expect too much stability and quality in your network connections.

    4. If you want to keep as you have now, you must configure the following:

Xbox: set a static IP 192.168.0.2, subnet 255.255.255.0, gateway 192.168.0.1, DNS 192.168.0.1 mask
ICS PC: set a static IP address for your wireless network connection: IP 192.168.1.5 subnet 255.255.255.0, gateway 192.168.1.1 dns 192.168.1.1.

Next, configure the shipments of necessary port for your xbox on the WRT. Before all these ports to 192.168.1.5.

Then configure the same redirects on your PC of the ICS. Before all ports to 192.168.0.2.

If everything is configured correctly and works well it should work. But once again: don't expect too much.
