Linksys E3000 NAT open Xbox Live settings

Hi all

I recently upgraded my the WRT160n V3 to the E3000 router. I had the port to the front of my old 160n to get my game Xbox Live NAT settings to OPEN.  When I switched on the router for the new E3000, my Xbox Live settings are returned to the Medium (medium). I assumed that this would have happened since this is a new installation/router.

Can someone help me configure my E3000 and Xbox Live so I can have my open NAT settings?  I only need to configure the Xbox 1. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!!!

The previous is large enough and generally useless for the configuration of the E3000 to facilitate capacity NAT open xbox live connections. 1 make sure you have a static IP assignment for the xbox an assignment of dhcp for the mac address of the xbox in creating or statically assigning an ip address to the xbox outside the dhcp scope, you set but on the same network / subnet of course. then go to the tab under applications and games and the prior port 3074, single port forwarding, both internal and external, to the IP address of your xbox. Name the rule openNAT or something that you will recognize. put a cheeck in the box to enable the rule and click on save settings to activate. Your xbox should now work without complaint about the need for open NAT xbox live test and gameplay should work just fine.

  • WRT1900AC NAT OPEN Xbox problems.

I dove in the forums for days looking for a solution, but I can't get my Xbox to have an open NAT. I booked the IP address, port, and made sure that UPnP is enabled. What Miss me? NOTE (I did not open port 53, which causes only the router lose access to the internet for some strange reason.) Help, please!

I think that it is a private IP address. Anything on a 192, 172 or 10 is a private IP address.  You need a public IP address which is #. ##. ###. ###

    Link >http://www.practicallynetworked.com/networking/fixing_double_nat.htm and http://computer.howstuffworks.com/nat.htm

I recommend you ask at the service of the ISP and ask questions to get a public IP address of the router in order to obtain if possible OPEN NAT.

  • E1000 2.1 and the xbox live NAT problem (I read all the others)

So like everyone, im having troublewith xbox live and NAT, but I feel my situation of dns is unique, so my solution is perhaps just as well. Help, please

Modem-> Router (e1000)-> port 1 (wired): xbox, wireless: mac computer

    Configuration: Auto DHCP

MTU: tried 1365 and 1452, currently on 1452

    UPnP: off

    NAT: on

Port Range Forwarding - (tried reccomendations cisco and xbox, tried the verses of individual ports this range, currently at)

(looked in the outbreak, but as I have 2 devices, if I let a range of open ports, I want that it does match the xbox)

    Application: xbox

    Start port: 53

    End port: 3074

    Protocol: the two

    IP address: 192.168.1.20

    Xbox is set to:

    IP: 192.168.1.20

    Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0

    Gateway: 192.168.1.1

    DNS: automatic

reading only 1 dns (see notes)

    Notes:

router port range is 100-149, so DHCP should not be a problem (I guess) if ip xbox is put out of reach ([192.168.1.20] being 20)

In my status tab in the router, it gives me only a dns. When I look at online modem, it gives 2 different DNS.

Each time, I have everything works a turn at a time, the computer always connects, Xbox Live still connects, but he still has the problem of nat.

I don't think it's a matter of double nat, bc when I look at the stats of my modem there is nowhere to configure ports (seems to be the modem only 1 Ethernet only)

Also, I noticed that the mtu of my modem is 1500 (I changed the mtu on the router, but not the mtu of my modem [it only allows me to change the mtu of my modem])

Help, please. I've been dealing with it and try different combinations of ports and options for 4-5 hours now. I'm starting to crack: S :).

Well, I found my own solution.  I looked at all options as what could be easier for the components to deal with.  Here's what worked:

    Computer:

    Configuration: Auto DHCP

    MTU: 1452

    UPnP: on

    NAT: on

    DMZ:

    Source: 192.168.1.100 to 100

    Destination: 192.168.1.1

    Xbox:

I could leave it on auto dhcp mac address book bc but it looks like this:

    IP:192.168.1.100

    Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0

    Gateway: 192.168.1.1

    DNS: automatic

Combined with a DHCP reservation [via the mac address (for the safety of the DMZ)] all of it worked.  With a DMZ, I didn't have to worry about which ports where correct.  It was just messy because I was 2 devices of connection and could not choose a single static ip address. So, the example ip ending (20) was not default range of the router of 50 numbers. Pay attention to your range of ip addresses in the router settings.

    * Make sure that your DMZ is on only a single or a partition of ip addresses, and you have other DHCP reservations for these ip addresses * you can find the mac address for xbox by accessing the network > configure network > additional settings > click Advanced settings, and not choose a 'different address', you should see a below *.

The Xbox has connected, but I always get a moderat NAT and I'm not sure why. The xbox is suggesting I open the UPnp... but just maybe it's a generic solution.

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you!

    You have a few options.

    1. use the bridge instead of router

    2. Requests Comcast to allow you to use a residential modem instead of the SMC.

    3. use the DMZ to set the router on the gateway firewall.

    4. my personal favorite, ask ComcastLarry to set the bridge mode bridge for you so that the E2000 works as the router. For this option, look at the 37th post

  • Problems of NAT for Xbox a Live, AC1900 Smart WiFi router model # R7000

I can't get NAT open for my Xbox One, it is set to moderate right now. I tried to turn NAT, filtering to open, address reservation, go wireless Ethernet, port forwarding / port triggering TCP/UDP 3074.

    Any help would be appreciated

Yes, that's all. So, your ISP is NATing your traffic. Your situation is similar to the guy with the WiMAX. I went and found this thread.
    https://community.NETGEAR.com/T5/Nighthawk-WiFi-routers/NIghtHawk-r7000-PS4-NAT-type-strict-3-issues...

This guy had to call his ISP and ended up paying for an address public IP NAT problems. You will need to contact your ISP and either ask a public IP address, or ask them how to configure their gateway port forwarding. Read the other thread.

I'm not sure what I did, but I can't seem to change the account information for Windows games.

When I selected games in Windows 8, it created a fake XBox Live account.  I already have an account and I can not understand how to change the information so that it uses my existing XBox Live account.  I don't want to use this new account, I just want to use my old Xbox Live account.

    Hi thresher.

If you press the Windows key + C

In the bar of charms, click settings, and then change the settings of PC

    Click on users

You will see your primary account listed.

Under your info, you should see disconnect your Microsoft Account, click this button

This will change your current account at the local level

You can then click Connect Your Microsoft account once again and now synchronization with which ever account you want.  :)

    I hope this helps!

  • c7000 and xbox live/PSN

So my family pay for xfinity Blast comcasty so our download speed is as 80 Mbps down and 12 Mbps to the top, on the xbox on it says nat is open, so if I load black ops 3, for example the nat changes in the game said strict when connected via the eithernet cable (open or moderate if wireless) and that the game has tried to use the port UDP 3075 to the port required for a nat open in the game.

I tried enabling UPnP port forwarding is activated alreadty and or fixed, the last thing the game menu says is add your xbox in DMZ to get nat seems to open in the game that I'm not positive what it means.
