  VIDEO: Experienced random black screens on the external monitor. After update to El Capitan 10.11.4 version which included an update of the firmware of the adapter, the problem become constant, with the external screen crashing to black seconds nonstop. Switching the HDMI on the MHL port on the monitor completely solved this problem.

  VIDEO: I'm only able to get a resolution of 2560 x 1080 scaling to fill the screen, which is a little fuzzy but fine for office tasks - selection reduced 3440 x 1440 or "best resolution for this monitor" translates into a look, windowed 16:9, with black bars on the right and left. I have not yet found solution to reach ultra-wide 21:9 angle at the native resolution (but would appreciate a).

  I don t think you will be able to connect two external monitors to this laptop using HDMI and RGB port at the same time because of different types of signals.

  The RGB/VGA port supports analog signal.

  The HDMI port provides the digital video output and when the external monitor is connected to the HDMI port the device is set to HDMI.

  I just bought Tecra M5 for use with my external NEC monitor. However, regardless of the configuration, I try I get no image on the monitor.   Connect your monitor directly to your laptop and see if it is recognized and you can go through FN + F5 between the two views.
