Satellite A215-S7414 - no signal on external monitor

I have the model A215-S7414 and the LCD screen is broken,
So now I have a 2nd moniter "run the image" for my laptop

The image is available by loading microsoft and F2, F8, F12 logos
However, to start the laptop I always had disable driver signature enforcement to get to the point where I can access Windows

I hear the laptop that windows has loaded, but the moniter automatically stops and says 'no signal '.
the monitor is an Emachine E19T6W

I ran a start-up repair, don't know if it's relevant, but he says
"unspecified system configuration changes may have caused the problem.

so, if you please help me.
I would gladly appreciate it willingly

Hi mate

The only option that could be useful in your case is the use of the FN + F5 key combination.
If this key combination function, you should be able to switch the video output to an external monitor.

But if the FN + F5 combination doesn't function then I put t see no other workaround to the release of the video on the external monitor, how do you want to change something if you n t see anything on the screen?

  • Satellite A200-1BJ - no display on external monitor

    Hello

I have a display problem with my laptop, which is:

When I connect my computer to an external display (projector - data show - using the rgb or s-video cable), the contents of my computer are not displayed.
I used F5, Catalyst Control Center, but without success.
When I connect it with a TV using s-video, I get the message "no signal".
I think of the existence of the other devices, but the content is not sent to the external display.

I don't know what the problem is. I need to use my computer and the screen using a projector for my presentations, which is very common.
The problem is that he used to work, then suddenly it stopped display on external displays.
I could not understand the problem, then I thought that the settings have been changed accidentally.
So I formatted my computer back to the factory setting, but my attempt failed and it still does not display on the external monitor.

    My computer specs:
    -Toshiba Satellite A200-1BJ
    -Processor: Intel Core2 Duo
-OS: Windows Vista editions Home Premium
-Graphics card: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2600

    Does anyone know the solution?

    Thanks in advance.

In your case I would update the BIOS and the display driver. The two you can find on the Toshiba site:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com-online decision-making supported Downloads & => Download drivers

Have you tried different cables? Maybe it s faulty or too long.

Also, be sure to use a rate of resolution and refresh supported for the external monitor display. You can change that in Catalyst Control Center.

  • Satellite L30-149, only works with external monitor and VGA mode

Satellite L30-149, Windows XP Home Edition

Yesterday I did face the following problem:

I swithched on my laptop but I have nothing on the screen. I tried to reboot several times, but it did not help. If I look very carefully, I see the logo of Intel (black text on white on the screen) but nothing else. The logo shows very low.

I plugged on the external monitor. With that he gives a little more. The Intel logo with the instruction how to reach configuration etc. Then Windows logo but when it should ask the user, the external monitor going to sleep mode and nothing happens after that.

And an external monitor, I managed to connect to Windows in safe mode and also in VGA mode. In VGA mode, I tried to change the resolution, after that I got black screen again and I had to start.

Now I wonder if I could do something (update of drivers, etc.) or should I go to the store where I bought the laptop and ask them to fix it. This look like a problem covered by the warranty?

    --
Upgrade to this message (what happened after that I wrote the above text).

I turned on the laptop again. I thing the lightning from the room is now better because I noticed that the laptop seems to work (almost) correctly. Windows starts normally, I can faintly see the desktop. This seems to be a problem in the background ligthning. FnF7 does not change the situation.

    This sentence is very interesting.
Sounds like a question of FL-ups!

It is a small part behind the screen and control the backlight of the screens.
Usually, this part is not very expensive and the replacement is not complicated to a technician for laptop.

If your warranty is valid, then everything should be done for free.
Try to contact the ASP in your country and ask for later handling.

    Greetings and good luck

  • Satellite M30-S309 - certain proportions on external monitor not right

    Hello world.

I have a Satellite M30-S309 that I just started to use it with an external monitor: a 191EW9 of Philips, which has a maximum resolution of 1368 x 768. The built-in monitor is 16 "; the new external monitor is 18.5 ".
The computer has the driver for the new monitor, but with a few photos of the proportions are obviously not right.

Anyone know of any way to solve this problem? Or it's an old computer like this all simply not up to handle this type of monitor?

A solution would be much appreciated.

    Hello

Can you please explain what you mean with certain proportions are not suitable?
You can choose the native screen resolution of the external display or use another resolution of the screen?

To me that sounds like this, you use a wrong setting. On the screen you can change the width, height and to this day. You should check these options.

    Welcome them

    > I can see my desktop if I shine a flashlight on the screen LCD and if I plug an external monitor everything works fine.

This problem resembles a failure of inverter FL.
The FL inverter is part hidden somewhere close to the screen.
It controls the backlight of the display.

I think that this part needs to be replaced.

In your case, I recommend you contact the ASP in your country. Why?
Because first of all, you can order these parts to the authorized service partner and second guys could be very useful and may disassemble the laptop and replace the part.

    Help

    Hello

It looks like a malfunction of the internal display.

If the external monitor works properly, then I guess the graphics chip is ok too.

In my opinion, there must be something wrong with the internal display.

  • Satellite Pro P100: losing picture on external monitor when using the DVI - D connection

    Guys,

I have a Samsung SyncMaster 940MW LCD TV and a Satellite Pro P100 (Geforce Go 7600), recently I bought a DVI - D cable to link them together.

Now the problem is that when I connected to 1400 x 900 LCD TV screen goes to a black screen several times (usually when there is a lot of activity or I'm resizing windows to the maximum to the minimum).

Now, I would have thought it would be the LCD TV doesn't do not signal or refresh rate however I connected using a VGA cable and its fine - no problem just no matter how much I minimize my windows or put a lot of activity on the screen. To complicate matters even more, when I run the screens in "Dual screen" mode instead of "Clone" if I put one of them 1400 x 900 to 59hz in 16 bit it works fine...?

Can someone help please that it made my head that I can't understand what the hell is the cause!

I've included a list below all the different resolutions / screen modes I tried it and the result.

    Hello

I hope that you have enabled user s manual supplied with your device. On page 148, you will find a very interesting picture on the supported display resolution.

I have to be honest with you and say that I am no expert DVI because my LCD doesn't have this port, just HDMI but if I have understood you as soon as you have problem with a resolution of 1440 x 900 only. This resolution is not listed as supported, and I presume that it is not unusual to have a problem.

Sorry, but I think that you should use maximum supported only resolution 1280 x 1024.

  • Satellite A200-1AE: how to set external monitor like main screen on Win XP

    Model: A200-1AE
    OPERATING SYSTEM: XP SP2

I want to use the external display in Windows XP. It would be necessary that the external display is the main thing and office expansion took place on the computer screen. The driver, downloaded from your site do not do... If this possibility is, in Windows Vista.

How it is possible to solve my problem?

    Hello

As far as I know that's not possible. In my case, this option is grayed out!

But maybe it is possible on your laptop. In this case, you must Access the properties of the graphics card. Then go to the last tab called settings.

There, you must mark the 2 screen and activate the option called use this device as the primary monitor.
But if this option is not available you will not be able to settle this!

  • No Signal on external monitor

    Good day HP,.

Ive recently bought a new TV/monitor. Its Asus 27T1E TV monitor.

I can't get this monitor to see the video (no signal) for the DisplayPort.

My laptop is an elitebook 8540w (ATI over-pants M5800). Using Windows 7 Ultimate x 64.

Windows tells me that my card drivers are up to date.

    My configuration: Displayport--> dp/hdmi converter--> HDMI cable--> monitor.

Result; no signal, but my elitebook tells me there is a monitor (Asus 27T1E, this name is correct) connected.

I can move my mouse in the expanded view and when I take a screenshot, the two screens are included, but no image is displayed.

    The tests:

EliteBook hooked to my dads tv (BeoVision 7)

    DisplayPort--> dp/hdmi converter--> hdmi cable--> TV.

    Result: Video (audio not tested)

another laptop (no brand, 3 years) with NVIDEA GeForce 9600 M GT

-->--> Monitor hdmi cable HDMI port (asus 27t1e).

    Result: Video (audio not tested)

EliteBook hooked up with d - Sub in asus 27t1e

    Result: video

    These results lead me to two possible conclusions;

ASUS 27t1e cannot handle DisplayPort demoted in HDMI signal or

Laptop has some kind of error.

    all proposals/solutions?

Your troubleshooting leads me to the monitor ASUS having problems. The test with your father TV proved that your laptop is video production that should be displayed by a TV or a compatible monitor.

Try another monitor. If it works, then it is again confirmed be an ASUS monitor problem

    Hello

To be honest I have never heard of these problems but theoretically, it could be a virus or something else or your Windows installation is damaged, who knows?

Do you have an AntiVirus tool? So, I can recommend the AntiVir freeware tool. It s small and fast and I have pretty good experience with it.
    Check this box!
