Necessary activation after the failure of the graphics card

Hello.

My graphics card died an hour ago and I am currently using the integrated graphics chip. Windows 7 indicates now that activation is required which seems quite odd. My problem is that I can't get a new card until I return to my office in 5 days.

So my question is. I have to go through this again when I get the new card. IE I have to do it twice?

See you soon

Update. Office 2013 now tells me that I need to reactivate it. If I put the dead card back at will, it stops the request?

Hello

I am happy that the problem has been resolved itself.

Please post back if you have other Windows problems and we will be happy to help you further.

  • After the graphics card, codecs and effects CS5 Ram

Hi im using CS5 AF with all latest updates. I have a few questions

I have problem with codecs included in CS5. Please could someone tell me why when I try to "make that" and I tried every possible codec included in cs5 AF output is rubbish as hell. I've been Googling etc reading some forums Adobe, some people say use 32 bits instead 8-bit, else say use this codec rather than some say perhaps maybe hmmm maybe... /... Let me think ahhh this codec is not supported in cs5 AF but it will be in a next version 2025.

Please could someone tell me what codec should I use to make output look like sh * t rather crappy video standard?

Saw no problem when I save on my overview of the Office of the ram, it use auto AVI WRAW (1 gb/min) and the video look great im satisfied with the excellent work of RAM.

When I checked add display codecs in avi, wraw is not included, so I can't use it, but why the hell ram preview use this codec?

When I use QuickTime mpeg avi codecs etc. included in cs5 the output looks like I don't know even how to describe a very bad image. I tried also to encode the shi * media encoder y output hollow tried h264 etc tried to use other third-party software to correct the bad AF and nothing is helping and im tired. !!!

How can you sell something Adobe crapp, who does not?

    where is WRAW?

should which codec I use to make my good 2 min clip look?

Another thing I thing AF called media encoder please someone could tell me why the hell I can't encode AVI film in it? can get FLV or MPEG etc.?

the result after that Kiss FLV avi or mpeag etc, is that sound disappear without doubt everyone in Adobe knowledge. could you please sort?

Why when I use free encoding software such as mediacoder etc. without problem with AVI decoding encoding etc.?

Another Question, I have 4 x ATI HD4850 installed so I would just use it? Why? because everyone on Earth knows that normally graphics cards are designed for graphics... not when you use Adobe products. Adobe preffer to people to buy 280 GB of ram and 20 hearts x Q9000.

Why the f * K open GL After Effects does not work? just don't ask me what opengl worm can I! When I use open gl rendering is slower with Gpu than the CPU using why which? Why isn't it in MAYA? etc.

Buy product interpersonal hope it works well? not install then install all the plugins, you need, then try try and try to operate the AF. Long AF me Linux use it still sometimes, when you install ubuntu you need a little time to make your graphics work sound etc many of your devices usually never work because they are not taken in charge not driver or buggy drivers. the thing about linux is that it is free.

Adobe cost money, so people expect it to work I don't have time to wait or try to make it work for the next 5 years!

    Glad you feel better now.

Did not notice any apologies to Adobe if...

  • MacBook Pro 2014 - failure of the graphics card for the 2nd time in 2 years - no guarantee

    Hi all

end of 2014, I bought a new 13 inch Retina Display MacBook Pro mid 2014 model (A1502, EMC2875). A few months later, the graphics card has failed - no obvious reason. Apple replaced. Now, the graphics card has not yet. Still, the mac worked perfectly well (no overheating of the noise, nothing) and all of a sudden - no understandable reason or external actions, the graphics card has failed. Unfortunately, I do not have a guarantee of more. At least, I can access my documents by connecting two Macs, so I hope that the material is not affected.

My model (1502) apparently only has a single integrated graphics processor.

    My questions:

    • After some research, I discovered that Apple used to have these problems with the 2011 edition. They have implemented a replacement program. Does anyone know sth on this subject?
    • What graphics card would you recommend? How much such a graphics card? Where could I buy a cheap?

Of course, I don't want to reuse the same type - guess I don't have to explain how @* #&! I'm after two times the same problem within two years after the purchase of a brand new MacBook Pro...

I would appreciate any recommendations and links!

    Best regards

    Rahel

-As you say, your Mac model uses the graphics processor integrated in the CPU chip. So, there are ios no replacement possible. The CPU is soldered to the logic board

-The problem with the 2011 MacBook Pro was with the discreet Nvidia, not the graphics unit integrated in the CPU graphics unit.

-When you went to an Apple store just says the genius of APple?

This is the Office Mac Pro forum. I asked that your post be moved to the MacBook Pro laptop.

  • Qosmio X 70-B-10 t - failure of the graphics card

Hello. I offen had failure that the graphics card driver hang up and recovered himself. But today, I got this failure to the course to watch live TV streams and it seemed to me that the laptop does not work correctly. I tried to restard and then I get this message: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (cmdhlp.sys). It must be the graphics card and I don't think it's a hd or RAM failure in this case.

Any tips? Repair? New graphics card?

    Thank you!

On this virtual path, it is not easy to say what can be the reason of this failure.
Repair is always the last step. What you can do is to test the features using Notepad with "factory settings, without having to install additional software.

What operating system do you use?
Do you use the original display driver or some day?

  • Failure of the graphics card on the Satellite A100-405

    Hello

I have a Toshiba A100-405, which has a Geforce go 7600 graphics (specifications).
Yesterday, playing a game, all of a sudden the frozen screen and showed a lot of horizontal stripes.
I tried to restart the computer, but succeeded only in safe mode. The bands have not disappeared. (funny colors, such as low resolution, stripes, blocks, etc.)

Question 1: Is my assumption that the graphics card is in correct failure?

Question 2: Can this card easily replace? And if so, which would cost only? (in EUROS)

    Looking forward to your answers.

    Roel

    Hello

These funny funny colors, as low resolution, stripes, blocks are called artifacts (adverse alteration in the data, introduced by a technical and/or technological). It seems that the dysfunction of the graphics card. To be sure, connect the external monitor to check. Talk about the replacement, if it is integrated in the motherboard, the entire motherboard must be replaced. It costs about 35% of the total price computer laptop, as you can see that it is quite expensive.

Also, from my own experience I know, sometimes these artifacts occur because of the graphics card overheating due to dust. Do not be lazy to clean the laptop with the jet of compressed air. Otherwise, contact the ASP (SAV) and prepare the money.

I have Windows vista Ultimate edition. but he started asking for activation after the windows update while it has already been activated before the update.

    Hello, Pichon,

If Windows Vista application unexpected activation

On rare occasions, you may be prompted to activate Windows Vista on a computer that did not previously require Windows Vista activation or has already been activated successfully. For example, this may occur on a computer on which Windows Vista was preinstalled by an OEM installation or Volume licensing and are major hardware changes occurred, such as upgrading the hard disk and memory at the same time.

If you are prompted to reactivate Windows Vista, you can do this by using the Windows Activation Wizard to:

    1. Click Start, and then click computer.
    2. Click System Properties on the toolbar, and then click click here to activate Windows now in the Windows activation area. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click continue.
    3. Select the Windows Vista activation method that you want, and then follow the instructions.

To avoid this problem in the future, obtain the latest service pack for your version of Windows Vista, either through automatic updates or direct download.

To update to Windows Vista and prevent this activation problem does not happen:

    1. Click Start, click all programs, and then click Windows Update.
    2. Click find updates.
    3. As soon as Windows Vista found the updates, click the install updates button.

  • No video after having replaced the graphics card and power supply

I have a desktop HP Pavilion m9515y PC. The graphics card that came with it (NVidia GeForce 9600 GS, 768 MB) did not suit the minimum specification required by a game that I played. Things in the game has been very slow - I could see a delay of s ~0.5 to move my mouse on the splash screen for the game.

Today, I bought a new graphics (NVidia Geforce GTX 550Ti, 1 GB) card and a Corsair 700W PSU to replace the 350W one that came with the system.

From the outset that I messed up something. It's been a while since I opened the box and I thought wrongly that the top panel (with the rubber surface) to come off before the side panel could be deleted. I removed the two screws now the top panel in place and slipped it in the process it disconnect and two thin black wires which I do not know the function. It was attached near the power button and one was attached to the rear of the Panel. The sons have stripped the ends rather than a connector of some sort and I don't know how they connect back or if they are the cause of the problem that I see now.

In any case, I advanced and removed the old PSU and video card and replace them with the new. Two of them are significantly larger than the components, they replaced, but they managed to adapt with some maneuvers. All cards are well-placed in the PCI slots.

The power is connected hard disk, DVD drive, the motherboard and the new video card. I'm not aware of any other connections that need to be made to food. There was not much clearance between the power supply and the back of the DVD player, but I was able to get the data and clinging to the DVD of power cables.

After having done all that, I hooked my monitor DVI cable, plugged in the power cable and turned on the power. When I plug it in, the power button on the top of the tower is illuminated and the power seems to work. However, my monitor indicates that there is no video signal. I tried to put the old return video card, but I don't always have a video signal. Because I can't get a video signal, I can't tell if the PC is start or not.

Does anyone know the purpose of the wires that were connected to the top of the Tower?

They would cause they cause this problem if they are not correctly connected?
Any suggestions for the possible causes of the absence of a signal from a video card?

I just took the PC to a repair shop and it turns out that the problem was quite simple: I don't have the PCU power cable 4 pins hanging. Everything seems to start fine when we hung out at the shop. Fortunately, the place that I took did not even charge me what as they don't charge co-pays and since it is such a simple fix.

Now I feel kind of stupid, but I know better next time...

    Hello

Hmm if he s really a graphics card problem then that would mean that a whole motherboard must be replaced.
The point is that the graphics chips more be removable, but the chips are special modules that can be purchased separately

In any case, you should get in touch with a local ASP (partner) in order to obtain more details, perhaps that the chip graphic is ok and other malfunctions of the party that knows the technician could run tests and could tell exactly which part is dead

  • Failure message from the graphics card Dell Inspiron 580 s

    Hello

A week ago I was on my PC and I get a black screen, saying: my graphics card has failed and needs to restart the PC. So I did and it worked perfectly afterwards, so I don't think anything at the time. Yesterday, I got exactly the same problem occurs, then I ask it to see if I need to replace or not. My graphics is the graphics card Intel (R) Graphics integrated 4000. The PC is 6 years old and has been used a lot, so I think it's towards the end of his life.

Thank you for what you never answer and if you need more information, just ask.

    OS: Windows 7 Pro

    BattleGaming
I plan on rebuilding the PC in about a year, but I'm just wanting to make sure that it is not a Fatal problem.

It is a with a TFX power supply mATX chassis. You should be able to Exchange in a mother mATX 1155 or 1150, at the expensive of invalidating your Windows license.

  • Tecra M2: Can play a game of the graphics card?

It seems that play Flight Simulator could destroy the graphics card on the laptop! I never thought this would be possible. I gave a friend my old Tecra M2 (as a wedding gift) which he also uses to play FS9. A few years ago, he had to have the motherboard replaced (Fortunately it's still under warranty then) because it has become defective. This has happened while he was playing FS9. I never thought that at that time.

It seems like the same problem comes up again, but this time the laptop isn't under warranty anymore. Nothing has been changed on the video card to "accelerate" or "chip" or another - it is standard at the factory. The latest drivers are installed for the Nvidia GeForce FX Go5200 32 M / 64 M and the portable computer has 1 GB of RAM (and a lot of space on the HARD disk).

At startup, the Toshiba logo has green vertical lines. The Windows logo also has the same symptoms, the vertical lines. I was able to boot in safe mode, a few times, then it started normally (I was onto a winner of thought), but now it seems just blue screen and reboot after Windows Logo (even if I didn't no reset in case of failure). After the reboot, I got a blue screen (BSOD not usual) with the next STOP: 0x0000007E (0xC0000005, 0 x 01010101, 0xF7911378, 0xF7911074).

Any ideas? I'd be really upset if I found out that a game could physically cause a motherboard to replace on a laptop! If this is true, can someone tell me how to prevent it in the future? I have a Tecra M3 and I don't want to happen to me either!

    Thank you!

    -Emm.

    Hi mate,

the fact is that I would NEVER play FS9 even on my machine which is a Pentium 4 3.0 Ghz with 1 GB of RAM and a geforce 7800GS.
Flight Simulator 9 needs AS many system resources and in your case it s like you take 500 tons of steel and throw on a single donkey.

The M2 is a pure business machine and not scheduled to play these games like FS9 needing beasts of machines to run * correctly *. Maybe the older games are playable, but I think that it s right that FS9 could probably damaged your graphics unit (overheating).
You won´t move swap the motherboard and let your FS9 fingers when you hold an M2 or M3 or a set of non-game in your hands.

The man, who is ill, the poor M2 then FS9... :D

Clear from the statement to me: Yes, a game CAN probably damage a portable system, but not for sure! And an M2/M3 is not to play these games. Rather spent the money for a system with a Geforce 8600 Core2Dou or something similar.

  • Receive the error "Windows Media Center Receiver Service stopped working and was closed" after the video card replaced

I have a HP computer with Windows Vista Home Premium (32-bit) Service Pack 2.  He has a VISX PureTV tuner card and already had an NVidia GeForce 8400 graphics card.  This Setup has worked well for 2.5 years until what the graphics card died last week.  It has been replaced with an ATI Radeon HD3450 and both all Windows updates have made current.  Since that time, the TV tuner did not work.

When you sign in to an account, it gives the error message "Windows Media Center Receiver Service stopped working and was closed".  I can use Media Center to watch the recorded video before, but if I try to watch live TV he hangs up and close Media Center.  If I try to configure the TV connection in Media Center it tells me that there is no tuner card.

I looked at the map and see no problem and I tried it back in place.  He has the most up to date drivers (so does the new Radeon graphics btw).  I tried "Uninstall" in the Manager of devices and then put it back, but it was not good.

"Windows Media Center Receiver Service Stopped Working and was closed" I tried all the fixes I've seen this error.

I tried all the things I saw here and elsewhere related to this issue.  I did a "clean boot" with all non-Windows services and the disabled startup process.  He always did the same thing and gave the same mistakes.  It seems to be linked to a Windows service, and I hesitate to begin deactivation to track down.

I ran 'sfc' in mode 'cmd' and he found no problem and none of the files to be fixed or could not fix.

In the list of services, I changed the login for "Windows Media Center Receiver Service" to "Local System account", Local Service, Network Service and individual accounts, but no permits.

I'm afraid I'm at the point of having to reload the Vista, but I don't know how to do this and want to avoid at all costs.  I don't have the recovery disks and software.  Is this enough?  Can I reinstall from the recovery disks without wiping everything aft of the configuratiion with which it was delivered?  I guess personal files will be OK (although I don't know this for sure), but I'm afraid I'll have to reinstall other applications, my family has developed over time and perhaps lose the media protected by DRM licenses.

Someone has encountered anything like this or have any suggestions?

Well, I finally stumbled into the solution.  It was caused by a conflict with another application.

A few weeks before the card failure I had installed a program called video capture Replay Video Capture that I had bought a few months ago and never used.  However, at this time where everything including the TV tuner and Media Center worked well that's why I associate the problem with this software.  The problem comes after the system is rebooted the first time after installation.  In my case, it has not been rebooted until a few weeks later as part of the recovery of the fault of the graphics card.  Suddenly, the TV tuner did not work and I get the error messages mentioned in this title of the thread.

I was at the end of my rope with this and was just to clean your system to do a reformat and reinstallation.  I uninstalled the Replay Videa Capture program to move it to another computer, and when you restart the computer I noticed that the error message disappeared.  Of course I went to the Media Center and could set up my TV tuner card and watch television.

Looking for some info on this conflict, I found the following. (http://forum.applian.com//showthread.php?847-Conflicts-between-RVC-and-XP-Media-Center-OS&s=c0aec9897b51d550c47b919e73e59bfc)  It is difficult to say who is at fault in the present.  I'm sure that Microsoft accuses Applian for the encoder to mpeg (mcm2ve.ax) used in Replay Video Capture, while Applian says that the problem is a Windows process (ehrec.exe) that works all the time, hogging the tuner on the system device.  According to Applian other products similar to theirs have this conflict as well due to the process of Windows.

Fortunately, there is a solution in this case.  Applian has released a new version of Replay Video Capture (version 4.2) that uses a different mpeg encoder and eliminates the problem.  Given the surprising lack of info about it on the Microsoft Web site, I wonder how many other people with this unresolved issue dealing with the same thing as me.  If you're like me and you don't usually need to reboot your PC for a few weeks at a time, you may never know to associate the problem with the application.  What a waste countless hours trying to diagnose, and most disconcerting, that's what I was about to go through a reformat and reinstall because of this.

Thought I'd post here my problem resolution in the hope that it might help someone else.

    * You use the Dell supplied cable? Yes - two monitors

    * Press the Menu button of the monitor to open the OSD (On Screen Display). The bottom of the screen should display a resolution. This resolution should match the resolution of the default monitor. The two monitors: 1920 x 1080, 60 Hz

    * Brief description of the problem monitor? Monitors have been implemented following the instructions on page 25 of the Dell online manual to connect the monitor to function DP multi-flow (MST). DisplayPort cable is connected to V3900 output MiniDisplay port DisplayPort graphics card in the 1st U2414H; second DisplayPort cable is connected to the DisplayPort on 1 U2414H monitor output and MiniDisplayPort in the 2nd monitor U2414H. Dell U2414H drivers have been installed from the CD provided and both recognized by Windows. V3900 graphics card Driver is up to date with the EyeInfinity software. Source of input on both monitors the Mini Display Port value. Display settings on both monitors Display Port 1.2 value activate. Resolution of the screen on Windows 7 shows: (a) two separate Dell U2414H (mini Display Port) screens, with each resolution 1920 x 1080, multi (b) displays the value "to extend these displays. The two views work with Setup leading up to and acknowledged by the graphics card.

Problem 1 - all the time - monitor power buttons are lit, the computer is turned on, then monitors lights don't - they show 'Power save mode' and then turns off. To hit the power button on the computer to shut down Windows. Only way to get these on monitors is unplug cords from the back of each monitor, wait a few minutes, plug in the power cord, start computer and then both monitors will start up and sign of windows to the screen will appear and monitors will work. Normal operations for a full day of work if you do not restart. If you need to restart during the day (like when you get a software update), the same thing happens. Start the computer to restart, but the monitors come back on not and remain dark. There is nothing wrong with the graphics card V3900. He is certified by AMD and DisplayPort.org to work in an environment of STD DisplayPort 1.2. I had previously two 215tws Samsung SyncMasters connected to each output V3900 Grahics card and they work very well in extended mode for years until a SyncMaster 215tw started shaking like crazy. A SyncMaster has been connected to the out display with a dongle and a DVI cable Port. The other SyncMaster was connected to the DVI output on the graphics card. So I decided to buy these two U2414Hs. Technical support Dell after many phone calls and e-mails finally advised me that there is a problem of "compatibility" between my computer and the U2414Hs and recommended that I return the monitors. On the web site of the U2414H AMD has not been certified by AMD to work in a DisplayPort 1.2 STD Set Up. Other former Dell monitors are certified by AMD to work in the Display Port 1.2 Setup. DisplayPort.org lists the U2414H to work with Display Port (it does not say that it will work in a DisplayPort 1.2 Set Up).

Problem 2 - shift perceptible in the entrance of Microsoft Blue Tooth keyboard and mouse and PS2 Keyboard and mouse. All the drivers are up to date. When you type a phrase, it takes a few moments for the text displayed on the screen using a keyboard. Both the mouse connected and the Bluetooth mouse are unresponsive sporadically for a few moments until they finally react. It happens regularly during the day. The monitors provide excellent clarity when you work. The stand is ideal for office property. Before these monitors are returned if no one knows what causes these two problems and does anyone have a solution? Should I stop using the Display Port 1.2 and hang them using HDMI with active dongles? If I have to return these two U2414Hs, I considered the 2 two U2413s. Someone at - it all opinions on the last U2413s from Dell? I have read some real problems with ghosting that I just haven't the time for more. The remanence correction in the models of U2413 sold in 2014? There are very few monitors on the market with Display Port in and out to the back to support DisplayPort 1.2 STD Transport.

    Thanks for any input.

I had to remove my VGA HDMI DV card and now the DP (display port) works very well. Don't need to use a HDMI cable. Display Port 1.1 is reported as the problem in order to remove the card solves this problem.
