• Need for a method to be called when the pop-up screen

  I have a requirement in my application. I have a screen from which I'm moving to screen B. When I Pop the screen B, I need a method that must be called in the screen has. Looks same as onActivityResult() in Android.

  I am currently using onExpose(). But this method is called for all in the screen has. In the menu click or button also. Is there another way to do this?

  You have two options I can think immediately, which do not have to change anything in screen B.

  (1) use pushModal when you call B screen.  The statement immediately after the pushModal will be executed as soon as B screen is popped.  In general, I try to avoid the modal screens, but in this case, it's probably what I would do.

  (2) set an indicator immediately before you tap screen B.  Test the flag in onExposed().  If the flag is not set, then the onExposed was called for another reason and you can ignore it.  If the flag is set, then turn him off and process you want, knowing that the screen that has been exposed as screen B jumped.

  Either should work for you.

• Need help make new samples of .png files

  Hello

  I bought some black with transparent background (png) tiled patterns and I want to make new samples out of each of them.  I'm doing everything I read and nothing works.

  I use CS6.  I have one .png templates in a document .ai.  I tried to drag on the box of the swatch group, and nothing happens.  When I click on "New shade" with the .png file selected, it creates a new shade but it's only in black, there is no model.  I tried to put a line around it and selecting 'New Swatch' again; He created a new grade with the race, but he did not use my .png image, he used the last nuance in the Panel!

  In addition, any input on what the size of the original .png file should be to make a shade.  Bought size is 3600 square px.  I don't know that I should probably use a different size.

  I thought it was supposed to be easy in Illustrator.  I have to do something wrong.  Help, please!  Thank you!

  Thanks for jumping in the tone! Your suggestion led me to the problem so I could fix.

  When I went to object > template > do as you suggested, I received an error message indicating that I couldn't make a shade of a linked object.  I included the image in the document and * finally * has managed to make a shade with success.

  Why it never appeared in my searches or documents Adobe, I found is beyond me, but all's well that ends well.

• AI sample clock using to Trigger counter samples

  My basic question is: the ai\SampleClock signal is active only during the execution of a task of analog input?

  The details are:

  I have a multifunction data acquisition card series X PCIe-6321.  It is controlling an SCXI chassis and has a module SCXI-1180 and SCXI-1302, so I can control the analog inputs of the chassis but also access to the meter 4 on the map.  My application requires that I use all 4 meters to measure a frequency input signal and synchronize the samples for the analog input signals.  I created 5 tasks, 1 for AI and 1 for each counter.

  I'm using LabVIEW 8.6.1 with the latest NOR-DAQ drivers on and the operating system 64-bit Vista

  1 are there drivers or hardware restrictions that cause this solution does not work?

  2. can I use the ai\SampleClock as sample clock of entry for each task frequency?  If I do this the beginning of sampling will be synchronized?  I.e. If I each task frequency first starts, they will wait until that task to HAVE it is started before you start sampling?

  3. If this does not work, do I need to send the sample clock of the task of the AI to a line PFI (PFI1) and then use it as the special frequency sample clock input?

  I used to do option 3 when the synchronization of two cards in PXI chassis and use only the beginning of the task of the software instead of synchronization on a digital departure, given that the sample clock will control samples anyway.  I need to know if the same behavior works with the above scenario.

  Hi Bob,

  I can confirm that the AI/SampleClock is available only during the execution of the task to HAVE it.  As far as other issues go:

  1. you must provide more information on what you seek to do exactly, but there is no problem with the clock of the task of analog input sampling to be used with routing counters.  I had read through the section of the X series operating manual which deals with the measures of frequency clocked at sample (see page 7-16) for more information about what really happens during this configuration to make sure that it suits your needs.

  The frequency of the signal to be measured must be at least two times faster than the sample of your task clock to HAVE.

  2. you can indeed pass the signal on all four tasks at the same time (you can check the page peripheral routes in MAX to ensure the routing restrictions).  Sampling will be synchronized four counters are started before the task to HAVE it, but counters will be armed at different times unless you configure a trigger to begin arms (see page 7-45 series X operating instructions).  I would consider using the AI/StartTrigger if you want to do.

  The effect of not to arm the counters at the same time would be a different number of periods on average on each counter for the first sample (assuming an average is enabled).  Maybe it's not a major concern, but I just wanted to point out.

  3. the itineraries are available inside the Board of directors so external routing is not necessary, you can simply specify to use the sample clock of the AI for each meter clock and roads will be done for you.  If you want to export the signal on a PFI line and new route on another line PFI, this option is also available for you, but shouldn't be necessary.

  I hope this helps you get started.  I'll make sure to take a look at Chapter 7 of the X series user manual, if you have a chance as he described how all configurations of meter of working more in detail.  If you have related questions do not hesitate to post in return.

• Problem on myRIO entered analog sampling broadband 50kS/s

  I have a problem when I want to use the + 10V input analog of myRIO1900 to sample a signal of moving very fast valve (+ 10V analog signal).

  

  I need less 50kS/s sampling frequency (time 20 s segment two examples of data). According to myRIO specifications analog input has a global 500kS/s sample rate, which means it should be fast enough for me.

  I have used a loop in my code and all of the source 1 MHz calendar, timed period 20us (which I need). However, in my LabVIEW code I can get aroud 3ms (333kS/s) time slice (delta t) between two sample data, see file .xls attached, which comes from the function "write to the file of the measurement. I don't know if it is a problem of record data when I use the function "write into the file of the measure", since the time stamp (delta t) of the 'writing on a file of measure' is different from the timestamp (delta t) data that I export waveform graph. But I have to use the function "write into the file of measures" to save the data in real time.

  So, how can I know what exactly sampling rate I get to the data? If this isn't the case, that fast how can I do? Is the unit of time or ms for the entry in the data file?

  Attachments are my project file, writing to measure (.xls) file and the exported data (.xls) file in the waveform table.

  I HERE that very well, if someone can give me some suggestion since I'm a beginner to myRIO and not that familiar with LabVIEW code.

  Since you're using an analog input VI single sample, you are essentially software your acquisition timing (which is timed by your timed loop). It's enough to lower sampling frequencies, but as you try to reach a high sampling rate, you should use the Analog Input Express VI . • Increase in the number of samples taken per second

  So I am a beginner in LabVIEW, and I work in a program to help me with some research. I enclose my VI below, and I take the data at a rate of almost 2000 samples per second (using the express deadline fixed VI a.001s). However, I need to be taken of data to approximately 10,000 samples per second, but if I try simply decrease the amount of delay (up to a.0001s), does not increase the sampling rate. Someone at - it thoughts/solutions to tide me over? Thank you.

  Use the example Finder and search for the "Input.vi - continuous voltage.  It is a good example of an acquisition of base.  There is also a built-in DAQmx called Logging configuration.  When activated, DAQmx will automagically be journal of task data to a TDMS file for you.  Use the continuous acquisition and set the frequency of sampling to the desired frequency.  You will need to read multiple samples to stand.  But this example is a great place to start.

  I know the header of the file .lvm that the sampling frequency is 1613Hz, but I want to get this automatic information from the open file .lvm.

  The timing is part of the production of signals information. Never use the functions of the Express, but you can use DDT to and convert to one of the data types of waveform. Waveform components then turns the dt.

• Acquisition still samples N

  Hi - I hope that it will be an easy question to answer.

  I read in an analog voltage.  I need to acquire 20 samples whenever the voltage exceeds 0.1 V.  What is the best way to implement?

  I tried to put a N-samples acquisition since a while loop with an analog edge trigger (amounting to 0, 1V), but it lacks most of the peaks of tension (the data rate is 1 MHz and voltage will be above 1 V of 1000 times per second).

  Look at the example called Acq & chart voltage-Int Clk - HW Restarts.vi Trig. I think you need to do is to start and stop inside the loop. Sorry, I forgot you were tripping. I also noticed that the trigger in the last VI conditions do not match what you used in the DAQ Assistant. You trigger edge in the last and before that you were using an analog trigger.

• Add calendar to QMH example of intermittent sampling

  I've seen lab have used for some time but have never used any of the more complex architectures.

  My project at the moment is a slightly modified version of the example "continuous data acquisition and logging (daqmx)" which comes with labview.

  I have a PCI-6115 I use to sample the signals of acoustic emission to 10MS/s the problem I face is that I need to run tests for an hour or more, of course I can't be sampling for an hour at a sampling rate.

  All I need to do is sample for 10 ms every 20 seconds. I know this is an easy problem, but I get an error with the acquisition when I try using the wait function and I fear that it is not a sufficiently eloquent solution.

  Assume that the QMH can reply to a message to take samples taking 10ms of samples and "do something" with it.  In the process of 'something', it can generate other Messages to the message handler.  You would need another loop, perhaps, which simply generates a message taking samples every 20 seconds, and who should manage the situation you describe.  The only problem is to control the loop with the 20 second wait, but I'm sure you can find ways to manage that (maybe he could be executed in the case of timeout of an event loop, for example...)

• Shortcut key JDev - list of methods

  Is anyone aware of a shortcut key to enumerate the objects/methods in the current class while in the code editor source JDev for Java files?

  I refer to the pop-up you get when you type "this.", or just dot '.'

  The sketch seems only to take you to the method rather than paste the signature into the current location of the cursor which was what I was hoping for.

  When you do a lot of coding and constantly need to call methods in the same class, it would be useful to be able to quickly break out a list of the items available in the current class without having to type something first.
