NetBook Toshiba NB505 - reading Film HD

Hello

I have a Toshiba NB505 Netbook and I think I do something wrong, or our netbook isn't in it. While trying to play HD/BR movies on our off netbook a file on VLC media player, it plays all nervous and pixelated. Simply very bad as you can't see what is displayed on the film. Is there a graphics option I need to change in VLC or something? I like to watch movies here at least.

Thank you

A few days ago I BD rip of my brother. I want to watch using VLC player, but I noticed the same thing. I was quite frustrated and angry because VLC is my favorite player, but I tested it with Windows media player and I was surprised that everything was OK.

Can you please test it too?

My machine is NB520. Operating system is Win7 32-bit Home Premium.

  • Toshiba NB505-N500BL - DDR2 or DDR3 memory

    I just bought a NB505-N500BL.
I checked the label of netbook, and it doesn't have a D3.

    The module of memory installed is a Hynix 1 gb 2Rx16 PC2 - 6400 S-666-12.
    What is DDR2 or DDR3.

The guy at Best Buy told me to replace it with DDR3, but they had not at that time here.
I read that some come with DDR3 others not and I want to make sure that I get good memory.

    Hello

    Hynix 1 gb 2Rx16 PC2 - 6400 S-666-12 is the DDR2 module.

But as far as I know this laptop supports a single memory so you will need to take the old module and will need to insert another module.
But I put t see no big reasons to replace the memory.

OK, if you want to upgrade the memory up to 2 GB of RAM, so it would be to buy modules such as:
    Toshiba 2GB PC2 - 6400 DDR2 - 800 MHz Module
    Kingston KTT800D2 / 2G 2GB 800 MHz Module

  • Difficult to understand the name of netbooks Toshiba

It is difficult to understand the designation of toshiba netbooks for beginners is this prefix after etc. 500 550 nb-113 110 tell us about the battery? What is the best?

Thank you and sorry for the bad English. What battery keeps arround 10 hours? Why NB305 (money) is more expensive than 500?

Each Toshiba laptop inside has Toshiba label with basic information.
It is written to the first name of the model: for example NB500-113
Then you can see the number of pat s notebook: for this Satellite is PLL50E-xxxxxxx.

Generally two numbers don t say much but for your info:
The model name is depending on the country. For example, NB500-113 may be available only in Germany, but you won't find it in Spain. In Spain we NB500 - 22H. If the two laptops have the same reference number that designates two of them have identical hardware platform with identical inside hardware components.

Toshiba NB500 offers three different numbers - PLL50E, PLL60E and PLL5ZE. With other words, you can buy NB500 with three different technical facilities. It is also possible that one of them will be offered in your country. It is defined by Toshiba s marketing strategy.

What you need is good info on models available in your country. Please visit the support page of Toshiba for your country http://pc-support.toshiba-europe.com/ and option computers laptops & Netbooks.
Compare all available models and look for info on equipment and the battery.

I hope you now understand how it works. :)

  • Dell scanner will not connect to netbook Toshiba Vista

I have a dell printer/scanner/copier, which I tried to connect it to my toshiba netbook, but it doesn't connect. How can I solve this problem?

    scaneer problem

Go to Dell and get the latest driver, firmware, or software for your device and compatible with your version of Vista.  Also get the user and technical manuals if they have available.  Uninstall what you already have installed and try again.  Don't forget to follow the directions on the order of events during installation (some want the connected device and power since the beginning and others only after that some other measures have been made - and it won't work unless you do it in the right order).  Contact Technical Support to Dell for assistance if necessary http://support.dell.com/support/index.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=dhs.

Are you sure that your device is compatible with Vista and your Toshiba?  http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-vista/.

    I hope this helps.

  • Error reading film on a slow connection

I get the following error when I load a movie with slow connection:

Unable to read the "symbolData" undefined property

I managed to find the cause:

File Movie_edgeActions.js is called with independent function as soon as it loads. Unfortunately, the Movie_edge.js file is usually much bigger than the file edgeActions (we speak of tens of kb/s for the file edge compared to 3, maybe 5 KB for the edgeActions file). So on a slow connection, the actions file is executed before the edge file is even loaded in the browser.

    Very easy to simulate:

Open the movie with a violin running as a proxy.

Use fiddler "simulate modem speeds" and "Disable caching" options (rules-> Performance).

I think this is a serious bug. It is very likely to occur when you surf on 3G...

Until it is resolved (I wish I had a due date of estimate), I decided to manually change the autonomous function call and call it myself when both files are loaded. I'll try to deal with him myself, but if someone has already done it, or know how I had to, I'd be happy to get some tips.

Add: I changed the anonymous function to a named function and I call on AdobeEdge.bootstrapCallback (I did something similar to this post).

It works very well with a normal connection, but on a slow connection the callback is never called. Furthermore, I see the edge.js file, performs the transfer on a violin with the http 200 status, I see it also in network monitor chrome with status 200, but it is not added to the list of scripts on the chrome developer tools. So I think that the problem is actually in the preloader itself. I'll try to work around him somehow...

Last thing about performance - is there a plan to include in publishing an option to create the entire film (preloader, action and edge) in the form of compressed js file single?

We have an implementation that coordinate the 5 different films, which involves 15 loading js files (or at least 10, because I can integrate the preload in my own js file). As you probably understand, 3 g, this can mean a lot of time until the entire application is loaded.

    Thank you

    Lior

Change of AdobeEdge.yepnope.errorTimeout in the preloader has solved the problem.

    I changed from 4000 to 400000.

EDIT: I restored the changes in the actions file (it also works with stand-alone function).

The AdobeEdge.yepnope.errorTimeout is declared inside the AdobeEdge.requestResources function in the preloader, so I stated this function in my main html, it will be replaced by one of the generated preload.

  • Updated El Capitian, why can't I read films in imovie in the DVD player, I did?

In original imovie I could play the iMovie anywhere, I did, now the iMovie I made won't play in any DVD player. What hurts when I made them?

In order to play your DVD in a DVD player, to do with a program like iDVD for DVD authoring.   You can make a DVD of data without using a design program, and who will play on your computer but not on a DVD.

With the latest version of iMovie, you make a DVD created by sharing your movie to a file and then dragging (import) this film in a

creation of program such as iDVD or other ones you can get on the market.    He will then play on a DVD player.

Just bought a netbook Toshiba NB505-N500. Bought the win7 anytime upgrade for $20. Have not upgraded the RAM (still). However, without thinking, I installed win7 Home premium. Now, my netbook is slow and the sound is metallic. How can I cancel my upgrade until I'm able to get more memory? Help, please. Thank you!

    (D) uncheck the programs that you do not want to start when your computer starts (do not turn off your antivirus).
    (E) click OK, and then restart the computer.

    (5) disable some visual effects in Windows 7
