NETGEAR Ondaaah 1000 M Wireless-N5 install help!

Work at home and my company computer died. They sent me a new one (Windows 7 Dell intell) and I had to take my Netgear adapter and put it on my new computer.  It does not appear on my computer where I can see, but I'm not too tech savvy and Netgear site search that's all just not help find the answers...  I can't locate my papers initially provided with my Netgear device either.  Scientists of my work have been without help asking if I had the installation disc, but I don't remember coming up with one.  I just need some instructions on how to connect and get online.  Thank you

What happened when you plugged the Ondaaah 1000 M on one of the USB ports on your computer?

He was installing as shown here: https://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/12286

If this isn't the case, you will need to install the driver.  Use a computer that connects to the Internet (for example, the one you used for your question here) and go to http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/25054 , download the file and copy it to a USB flash drive.  Then take the flash drive on your new computer and follow the instructions on the download page.  If I did that, I would choose step 6 rather than step 5, but it is up to you.  If things go wrong, it will be easier to get help in a forum like this if you use the native Windows wireless rather than utility from Netgear's exclusive wireless.

    Hello guys,.

One of my friends bought Satellite U300-153 and it asked me to install XP on his laptop, I did. All my drivers (U300 - 10M) worked on his laptop computer except wireless.
Guys now, someone tell me what is the model of the wireless adapter installed on above mentioned laptop (sounds silly, I know), because the download page offers 3, or even 4 types of wireless drivers.

    Thanks in advance!

Usually you can identify WLAN model following part number indicated on the sticker of Wi - Fi. In this case, it should be Atheros 11 b/g (13ch) XB63L.

Check it out using Google. Put the PAxxx number as search terms.

    Good bye

What software you want to install?

If it is old software that comes on a DVD, then install from the DVD and enter the serial number when prompted.

Otherwise, you can download applications and install - this document provides more details. You can not require a serial number but must sign the software with an Adobe ID, which has the appropriate right.

    Hello

I would like to install a new wireless card to take advantage of the speeds wireless AC, I am looking for an update or the mod my bios of f1.b to my Dv6t - 6 c 00 due to the white list.

I tried to use the HP Web site to check the updates for my computer, but the automated process will fail every time.

I would like to mention donovan6000(http://donovan6000.blogspot.com/2013/12/modded-bios-repository.html) created a certain Bios Modded, but every time I run the application InsydeFlash included, he said, while trying to install the original of f.1b bios and the f.1b modded bios, they are not to my laptop.

    My Bios Dv6t information - 6 c 00

I have not seen an update to this topic for a long time, and any tips/help is greatly appreciated!

I found a solution that worked perfect.

I upgraded my bios F.1b to a modded F.02 and was able to install a wireless card for $26 (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00PDLCFL8?psc=1 & redirect = true & ref_ = oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00) which gives me a 866.7Mbps wireless speed

  • Atheros 5007 won't stay connected to the Netgear WNR3500 router internal wireless

I just bought a new laptop Compaq CQ60-420us (nw156ua) a week ago. Machine comes with Vista Home Premium and I installed Win7 rc1 64 on another partition.

Initially I could not it remains connected to my router for more than 15 minutes approximately. I just press the wireless button to turn it off and turn it back on. Who would fix it for about 15 minutes.

I called HP support, they tried many things including for me to do a factory restore.  They finally decide to send me a new wireless card. I received the new card yesterday, had it installed and it is essential to do the same thing. Last night, I dug an older linksys wireless router that I have used in the past. Hooked upward and the laptop stays connected to her very well. I had the wpa security enabled on the linksys routers both netgear.

Then, I went to the netgear router and disabled security. It is very well connected. Not sure if wep security will allow him to work. I refuse to use just the wep security. It is easily hackable. And of course I will not let it be secure.

So it seems to be a compatibility issue between my router netgear wrn3500 and the atheros 5007 wireless card security. The router has the latest version of the installed software package.

I guess I'll call HP tonight and see if they can send me a different brand/model wireless card. All my other wireless devices work fine with this netgear router. I don't want to get rid of the cause of netgear, this is a gigabit & Wireless N router.

Does anyone know of any other mini pci express card that works with my laptop? I would get a card N. I thought maybe the intel wifi link 5100 card. Not sure if those who are compatible with HP or not.

    Thank you!

When I called HP back support, they were completely useless. Everything I tried to ask them is if they could just give me a list of wireless pci-express cards that would be compatible with my laptop. They did not understand my problem and could not give me a list. I wanted to the list because I read several times that HP has a 'white list' cards that will work with their motherboards. If you put a card that isn't on the list you will receive a message to remove the card from the bios when you turn on the machine. I checked this by testing the intel 5100 card on my laptop and it gave me this message.

Oh btw, it's MUCH safer these days to update the bios of your computer, it was many years ago. I do all the time and have never had a 'brick' on me. Even safer on a laptop with a battery in good condition. In fact I recommend it as part of your troubleshooting process. That will not fix the problem tho atheros wireless.

However, in the end, I was able to operate pretty well no thanks to HP!

I had to buy another card Atheros tho. It was the 5009 Atheros. And it's a card N I so was able to get with my router N 300mbs speed!

I found it on ebay for about $25 plus delivery charges. Oh and these cards are VERY easy to replace. There is a door on the bottom of the laptop with a captive screw - remove the door, then another screw which holds the card down. 2 drivers who commit on the 2 connectors on the map - the map out on the right.

This card worked very well for me I highly recommend to solve the problem with shit card atheros 5007.

Unfortunately, my laptop was stolen 2 weeks ago! (it was only 2 months old!) Some loser scumbag broke in with me so that I was at work and stole my laptop and my LCD 24 ''!

I've had this laptop for $350 new Staples. I can't find a similar agreement now.

Don't know if I'll go with HP\Compaq after what I went through just to make it work wireless...

  • Ergonomic keyboard 7000 Microsoft wireless driver install in Windows 7, 64 bit

I have been using for several years Microsoft 7000 wireless ergonomic keyboard. You usually only need to use it on one other machine is to plug in the receiver, which installs and you can use it.

I can't not much install on machines running Windows 7, 64-bit at work where I need to use different machines. It is said that the installation is fails when the receiver is connected and suggests to download a driver. I did it on the microsoft hardware site.

On a single machine, it worked the day that I did, but then when I went to use the machine on another day it wouldn't work - if I try to download the driver again, it says that it cannot do this because a newer version is already loaded.

On a second machine it worked, but I was not to try again.

On a third machine, it did not work and I said needed an administrator to install it.

The keyboard works fine on machines with other versions of Windows including Windows 7 32 bit.

The 64 bit version of Windows 7 appears to be the problem. I found a previous in this respect thread, but no solution for me.

    Any suggestions?

  • the 1000 mobile wireless mouse scrolling problem

    Hello everyone.

Recently, I bought a 1000 wireless mobile mouse to work with my laptop. I very often work in Netbeans (7.0). As OS, I have windows 7 ultimate 64B.

I have a problem with scrolling wheel. In windows Explorer, Commander total and other applications, it works fine. But in Netbeans does'nt works as it should.

To scroll the value default 3 rows of scrolling instead of the one step of scroll whell I have to scroll ~ 10 steps and very fast speed. :(.

This is a big drawback. Any ideas to fix this?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

If you have the problem of scrolling with a single program is Netbeans 7.0, this could be a possible bug.

There could be some applications that do not support the features of fledge full of some of the equipment.

I also suggest that you connect a different mouse (USB) and check if you have any questions scrolling with these applications.

This will help to understand if it's bug or is related to the wireless mouse
