Network Magic is not updated in the computer security software.

I decided to standardize my security with Microsoft Security Essentials software.  I uninstalled the previous security software (CA Internet Security Suite) and installed Security Essentials on two laptops.  Now, when I look at the Map Network Magic, I have 3 alerts.

My router is D - Link DI - 624 Rev C Firmware 2.70.  Network magic is c. 5.5.9195.0 - PURE0, version of the 11.2.9195.1 platform.  My cable modem is D - link DCM-202.

When I discover the details and alerts from a computer, running Vista Home, SP2, it shows that there is no antivirus installed, the spy software is the defender of widows, and firewall Microsoft Windows is installed.  Alerts that I receive from this computer are that the Antispyware is turned off and the Antivirus is not installed.

When I discovered the details and alerts of yhe other computer, running XP, SP3, it shows that the Antivirus is CA-Anti-Virus, installed no Antispyware and firewall Microsoft Windows is installed.  The alert for this computer, it is that there is no antispyware installed.

I removed the two computers to my network card, rebooted and re them connected to Network Magic, but the sill of alerts are displayed.

How can I get Network Magic to report the correct security software installed on both of these computers?

Hi, MSE was released after 5.5 NM.  Wait for the next update for full support.

  • Embedded FPGA vi - network shared variable not updated

    Hello

I work with an ethernet RIO 9149 of data acquisition. I use a hybrid programming mode.

I have a very simple FPGA VI that I downloaded on the flash memory. I used the indicator led to show my VI runs once the power of the RIO. Everything is fine, except that my shared network variables are not updated in the DSM ("no known values" displayed). However when I run the FPGA VI of my laptop, only once then stop and close (with 'interactive execution'), then my shared variables are updated in the DSM.

Any ideas why is this and how do I get the RIO update automatically shared variables without having to run the VI once?

    Thank you very much.

    Hello

I did a few tests and research and discovered that it doesn't seem to be possible. It is important to note the difference between Network-Published static (NSPV) and Variables of e/s of Network-Published.

The other are "user defined variable I/O" to communicate between FPGA and RT (RT absent on chassis Ethernet as the NI 9149) host. If these variables are checked to be published-network (in properties). They are accessible by VI running on the hosts of the same LabVIEW project, so you need to run a VI to access, as you mention. This is explained on the next page, Variable IO data custom FPGA of e/s (real-time Module or Module FPGA):

    https://zone.NI.com/reference/en-XX/help/371361H-01/lvioscanhelp/io_vars/#user_IOV

I did find a way without a host (host RT or Windows PC) running a VI. If you have a cRIO with RT and NPSV host in the RT VI it is possible.

    Hi Alex_enko,

If you are unable to complete the installation of the El Capitan, here are a few things to try:

Open the Mac App Store, click on the purchase tab and see what the status of your download.  If the download is interrupted, you can take.

Once the download is complete, check to see if the file 'install OS X El Capitan' is in the Applications folder.  If this is the case, double-click the file to open it and run the Setup program.  This application is removed from the Applications folder once the installation is complete.

If the installation does not complete, restart the computer using safe mode and try again.  Here are some links with information about these processes.

mine shows all the update failed, always looking for new updates, but the computer never downloads none

    Hi bonnie563,

What antivirus or firewall is installed on the computer?

Follow these steps to solve the problem.

Method 1: Solving problems run Windows Update

Windows 7 comes with a built-in utility to update problems. Run it and see what has to say. He makes sure your computer is connected to the Internet and checks to see if your network card and Windows Update services are running properly.

Open the Windows Update troubleshooting tool

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/open-the-Windows-Update-Troubleshooter

Method 2: Temporarily disable the firewall or a third-party antivirus software

If you have any third-party firewall/antivirus, disable all and just keep the built-in firewall of Windows when downloading updates. See if this allows you to perform the download.

Warning This workaround may make a computer or a network more vulnerable to attack by malicious users or by malicious software such as viruses. We do not recommend this solution to workaround but are providing this information so that you can implement this workaround at your own discretion solution. Use this workaround at your own risk.

To disable the third-party firewall, see the documentation provided with the program or contact the program vendor.

Method 3: Turn off Accelerator software

Disable any software accelerator programs that may be running. Some examples of these programs are file download accelerators and Internet speed accelerators.

Method 4: Journal see Windows Update

By default, the Windows Update client records all transaction information in the following log file:

    %WINDIR%\WindowsUpdate.log

If the methods above does not resolve the issue, view the log file for more investigations.

For help on the log file, see: How to read the Windowsupdate.log file

Note: Runs the computer without antivirus software or firewall is a potential threat to the computer; don't forget to activate the security software after completing the troubleshooting steps and after you have identified the problem.

    Thank you

To view your permissions, right-click on the file/folder, click Properties, and check the Security tab.  Check the permissions you have by clicking on your user name (or group of users).  Here are the types of permissions, you may have: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/What-are-permissions.  You must be an administrator or owner to change the permissions (and sometimes, being an administrator or even an owner is not sufficient - there are ways to block access (even if a smart administrator knows these ways and can move them - but usually should not because they did not have access, usually for a very good reason).)  Here's how to change the permissions of folder under Vista: http://www.online-tech-tips.com/windows-vista/set-file-folder-permissions-vista/.

To resolve this problem with folders, appropriating the files or the drive (as an administrator) and give you all the rights.  Right-click on the folder/drive, click Properties, click the Security tab and click on advanced and then click the owner tab.  Click on edit, and then click the name of the person you want to give to the property (you may need to add if it is not there--or maybe yourself). If you want that it applies to subfolders and files in this folder/drive, then check the box to replace the owner of subcontainers and objects, and click OK.  Back and now there is a new owner for files and folders/player who can change the required permissions.  Here is more information on the ownership of a file or a folder: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/67717-take-ownership-file.html.

If this does not work, try to delete the files or folders by using one of the following free programs: killer file http://www.malwarebytes.org/fileassassin.php (with or without forcing the deletion: http://www.mydigitallife.info/2008/12/27/force-delete-cannot-delete-locked-or-in-used-files-or-folders-with-fileassassin/) or Unlocker: http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/System-Miscellaneous/Unlocker.shtml.  Sometimes, these programs work when other methods (especially standard methods of Vista) only.

Good luck and I hope this helps!

  • Problems with error Windows Media Player, that Windows Media Player is not installed on the computer.

We have a computer that is running Windows 7 and (I think) Windows Media Player 12.  When I start ==> all programs ==> windows media player, the program starts and it seems to work.  It is a work computer, so no video or audio file is saved.

We have an online seminar that the user wants to participate in, and when we click on the link to get the webinar, an error message appears saying that Windows Media Player is not installed on the computer.

We use Firefox (version reasonably updated, but do not know which) for internet.

I used the "fix it" tool on the website of Microsoft, but that does not solve anything.  He said it sets some configuration settings.  I thought that maybe uninstall and reinstall it can work, but I can't understand completely uninstall because it isn't in my list of programs in the control panel.

    Any suggestions?

Thanks for any ideas you may have.

    Nolan

    (Moved to programs)

Uninstall and reinstall could be done by searching for and opening the option "turn on or off Windows features", but I don't think it will help.

Instead, what you need is a Windows Media Player plugin for your browser (Firefox).

But before you spend effort on it, I would test to see if it's really the solution.  Try to join your webinar with Internet Explorer (where the WMP plugin is built).  If it works, you can be reasonably sure to know how to make it work with Firefox.
