Network wusb300n wireless adapter creates test.txt on my C drive

Hello.

The software of network WUSB300N wireless adapter/monitor creates the file test.txt on my C drive.

This file is required, and if not, how can I stop this generated file?

Thank you.

Thank you. It has worked flawlessly. I'll just use network monitor in Windows, rather than the LinkSys one.

Thanks again for your help.

I recently bought a Stor.e wireless adapter for use with my partner Stor.e 1 TB HDD laptop but I can't seem to connect to my laptop.

If I plug the HARD drive directly into my laptop everything appears also ok but if I connect via the wireless adapter that shows nothing. the instructions that come with the adapter are very poor, but after following the instructions stating "plug drive HARD adapter using the USB cable then plug taken adapter (AC power), the LED flashes of HARD drive and the lights on the wireless adapter showing 1, 2 green, solid = power, wireless = 3 green, strong." Hello

Stor.E WLan adapter extends a USB HDD with the ability to access data stored via a WLan connection.
This means that you must activate your WLan on your laptop and configure the Stor.E WLan adapter first.

The 3 LEDS have the following meaning:
Above 1 LED is on / off and lights up green if the adapter is running
The LED 2 is WiFi link and turns green where wi - fi access has been established.
The 3rd (first from the bottom) lights up blue when the HARD drive is mounted. Flashing LED means read/write mode.

    How to connect?
Connect adapter to Canvio Stor.E WLan adapt to the B USB 2.0 (near the reset button) microphone connector and connect the USB HDD to the type A USB 2.0 connector.

You will need to activate the laptop s Wlan and press the reset button (hold it long 4 sec). The Wireless settings, you should see the Canvio Stor.E open wireless card that you connect access point.

Then, in the Web browser using IP address: "http://198.168.65.1" to access the settings page of the Canvio Stor.E wireless adapter.

In the preview, you can see the current version of the firmware, storage devices, network access point information.

The list of devices shows detailed information on connected devices.
Within the network, you can find the devault sotre.e wireless adapter network settings

Now, you can use an Android application called Toshiba Wireless Adapter to move files on the HARD drive connected to the WiFi adapter from your smartphone.

You can also map the card wifi as a network drive in Windows system.
In type of Explorer: \\198.168.65.1. then right-click and choose map network drive.
In a new window, select the application letter to the new drive (Z) and click the Finish button.

  • Cannot install Wireless Adapter (card NETWORK or USB key) to the Pavilion p6340a Win 7 Home Prem

I removed a work card TP-Link to a Pavilion a1300a XP Home PC network to put in my Pavilion p6340a Win 7 (64-bit) Home Prem PC.

Download and install the current drivers of TP-Link.
Installed everything well and the adapter can be seen in sub "Change adapter settings" in network and sharing Center and shows as working properly in Device Manager, but it is not recognized as a network within the network and sharing Center.

Under "Manage wireless networks'" nothing appears, if I then click on Add"then manually create network profile" "I then get an informative message '" an unexpected error occurred'. "

Suspect a problem with the NETWORK card, I uninstalled it and its drivers and tried to install a USB wireless adapter with the same exact result and the error message. It seems that there must be an OS problem or something stopping the wireless to work. USB adapter both NIC work properly when installed on the former Pavilion a1300a XP Home PC. NETWORK card and USB adapter are the current drivers for Win7.

All the ideas it driving me crazy. A simple 5 minutes on any other PC task turned into many.many hours without solution.

After many hours of uninstall re install & try everything under the Sun in many forums, I finally found a solution. Despite trying with firewall disabled at different times was the final fix

    1. Uninstall NETWORK card and USB drivers and devices.
    2. Then uninstall the AntiVirus (in this case AVG Internet Security)
    3. Reinstall the NETWORK card and drivers
    4. Reinstall AntiVirus

Tried the USB adapter as well so that the antivirus has been uninstalled and installed no. with problems.

    Everything works very well.

  • NETGEAR wireless adapter connects to a network other than mine.

I started using a NETGEAR wireless adapter and it worked very well, always connect to my NETGEAR network. Then a few days later he began connecting to the default profile for the Native WIFI instead of NETGEAR. This part of the Windows 7 operating system, or someone is hack my wireless connection? How can I get rid of him? I reconnect to my network, but it reconnects to the Native WIFI default profile. Any help or info is greatly appreciated.

original title: Native WIFI by default profile

    Radron,

"Native WIFI" usually refers to a Windows SDK API and it is more likely that it is a programming error that someone hack into your system.

I begin by visiting the site Web of Netgear, enter the model number of your wireless adapter and install the latest drivers for Windows 7:
    http://KB.NETGEAR.com/app/

I'm fairly certain that updating the drivers will solve this problem. If not, switch to update the firmware on your router.

    I hope this helps!

  • How can I test my 441090-001 Wireless Adapter? (QDS-BRCM1020)

I have a laptop Presario F730US and my OS is Vista 32 bit. It is inconvenient to use USB wireless adapter when internal laptop Presario a WiFi adapter. I bought the USB adapter TP link wireless for Internet access.

Is it possible that the mini-PCI card does not work?

You are the very welcome, John.

If she is not there, then it might actually be one of these possibilities...

    1. maybe you can install the HP Wireless Assistant and see if it shows your card in the program, and he just needs to be turned on with the software button.

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/WC/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-55203-1&CC=US&DLC=en&LC=en&os=2093&Product=3686683&sw_lang=

    2. the card is completely faulty and is not seeing the same as installed.

    3. your PC has the same features (nvidia graphics and chipset) as the dv6000/dv9000 notebooks.  He had problems with motherboard dv6000/dv9000 series with this material. Among several things that could go wrong has been done on the motherboard mini-PCIe slot.

You can search eBay by part number, and you should be able to pick up a replacement used but tested and functional real cheap.

You can get a map with this specific part number or it will not work.

Here is a link to several listed on eBay - as low as $4,00

    http://www.eBay.com/Sch/i.html?_sacat=0&_nkw=441090-001&RT=NC&LH_BIN=1

If the replacement of the card works, then you have solved the problem at a great price. If it isn't then you know the motherboard is bad and not worth fixing and you either continue as you are now, with an external WLAN adapter, or spring for a different laptop.
