New BlackBerry Q10 Q10 with defective keyboard

I bought a new Q10 just 3 days ago. I started using the phone just yesterday after the crumbling of the SIM, to realize that the keyboard has 7 defective keys. I went to the store BlackBerry where I bought, and the guy said he'll send it to the centre and wait for them to go back. However, I told the store that I won't accept the same piece that was a defective lot. I need a cool room packed instead, the guy at the counter said that it will let me only know once BlackBerry back. Any suggestions what I have do, incase they intend to repair and restore me to the same device. Honestly, I don't want the same piece since it is a manufacturing defect or failure his name.

Carriers have the ability to return a unit upgraded for you, be it your original device which is repaired or another similar. They are not required to exchange for a new one. My service provider to Canada, Rogers, will give a new device if a defective is returned within seven days, but it is their policy and nobody is obliged to follow suit.

See you soon.

    Thanks in advance to all.

My BB Q10 was not reproduce my calendar and added duplicates to my contact list whenever I have synced.  So, I uninstalled their software thinking Backberry link I re-install and solve the problem.  Now my PC does not recognize the phone (I tried the 'activate fix mass storage) and BB tech support says that I need to install a "div" ("you must contact Windows to request assistance on their part on the .msi file that your computer needs.") in order to download and re - load in the BB Link software.
I know that the problem comes from my PC because I connected the phone to my wife and it was immediately recognized, and you are prompted to install the BlackBerry link.
I know I'm a fossil with Windows 7 and Blackberry, but any help would be appreciated. Thank you

Like so many people, I had a nightmare trying to connect my Q10 and before that a Z10 for LINK.  After reading a lot of posts become completely disillusioned, until I found a post on the opening of the control panel/Device Manager and see if BB Q10 was listed and had a yellow triangle next to it and then try to reinstall the drivers.

So I plugged my BB to the computer with a USB cable

Open panel / but Device Manager there is no device listed outside the "RIM Mass Storage Device."

    What made me think...

With the always-connected BB, on BB, I opened the settings / storage access and disabled USB mass storage.

On the control panel / Device Manager, immediately "RIM Mass Storage Device" icon in the taskbar, a window and disappeared popped up saying "search drivers."

This has changed then automatically to "Install drivers" and "Finish."

In Control Panel / Device Manager a new device popped up in the area of 'No' called 'peripheral network RIM.

Then I opened the link and it is immediately connected to my BB Q10...

Then I went there immediately disconnect and link back to the Q10 spilled the USB Mass Storage 'OFF '.

Certainly, there is a bug here...

I lost several hours tinkering with this whole process, and it's a nightmare of flashing.  While this may not work for everyone, I hope this works for some of you...

  • BlackBerry Q10 disable the keyboard sounds when you enter the phone number

I was able to turn off all the sounds of keyboard except one: enter a phone number.

Does anyone know how to disable these sounds too? I encounter this problem together with the composition screen and the keyboard.

    Thank you!

    You can do the following:

    Settings > Notifications

    Sure, active profile is Normal

    Under profile Cap, tap Normal

On the normal profile, pass the sound (cursor left)

    Tap customize App Notifications

Tap phone and set a sound (slider)

With that, you will hear the ringtone, but you will not hear the dial pad.

If you have other applications that should its notifications, for example calendar, you must go to customize the Notifications App > calendar and adjust the sound works just as well.

  • Left SHIFT key of blackBerry Q10 is defective

By simply pressing the left SHIFT key, the key will work. This means that when you type 'y' or 'x', I get rather 'Y' and 'X' respectively. I have a QWERTZ keyboard.

The metal contact inside has very probably been flattened. You need to get the unit replaced. If it is less than one year and you bought by your carrier, they should be able to get a warranty replacement for you.

  • BlackBerry 10 problems with quick keyboard input?

Curious to know if the owners non - Q10 this experience? If you do not have a Q10, try the following actions that stir up trouble (typing while receiving a text or BBM, message or by immediately typing affter hit send) and I would like to know if the behavior is not the same on the Q10?

I type very fast on my keyboard of Q10. Often the time when entering text, say in a text message or conversation of BBM, I will hit enter to send and to start writing again. With any iPhone or Android, you would just keep typing. Half the time, I need to re - select the area to keep hits again, or he starts to enter a few characters are echoed to the screen and the unit freezes during a seecond and then the text box is empty, even if the phone works normally after that. Is it a known issue for BB10 lock up like that, and is the duty to select the text box again after sending the default behavior? I have not found a way to disable it and it is very annoying.

P.S. I'm the only person who can manage almost never hit the X in the circle on the browser to clear the url? I have to remove most of the time...

Solved... apparently WhatsApp is to blame. Found a tip in the classic BlackBerry users forum which could be related to a memory leak. Deleted and instantly all my problems were solved... hmm...

  • New BACK Labtop preloaded with Defected Windows 7

Refer to the above for exact details

Hi, I have bought a Toshiba P840 online and received today. He showed early upward the labtop, Windows 7 ongoing enforcement and that windows is checking for a solution (good start repair) and said that it could not solve the problem.

I was shocked because it was supposed to be a new and a Labtop BACK (n OS self-service).

I have check the start menu of all right, the HDD works well 500 GB 4 GB memory intel i5 core all matches.

The problem: it was supposed to be a BACK of unit as shown, but let me ask you guys, is possible for me to install just my new Windows 8.1 to crush this weird pre-existing windows? Via the start menu by putting in my drive and ignoring the failure of Windows 7 Startup Repair?

What are the causes of Windows 7's to fail anyway? The hardware itself or the Windows operating system?

If this is the problem of the OS, it's okay since this is supposed to be a unit of BACK where I need to install my own BONE to crush it, but WHO can?

Don't forget my key question > can I insert a new disc of Windows 8.1 and crush/install on this strange Windows 7?

Try to spark a recovery in the factory and then start the installation from the Windows 7 Desktop for Windows 8.1:

New computers that come pre-installed with Windows often have what is called a recovery partition. This is used to reinstall an operating system in the case of a system failure. To access it, you need to start when you start your computer by pressing a function key. This can be either F1, F2, F9, F10, F11, F12 key DEL or tab. See the manual that came with your PC for instructions on how to reinstall Windows.

This is how the recovery partition is accessible to most popular brands...

For Toshiba, press and hold "0" BEFORE and during the power upward

Otherwise, you can simply use your media Windows 8.1 DVD or USB and make a custom installation:

Boot from the DVD Windows 8.1

For information about how to modify your BIOS options to boot from the DVD drive, see the following tutorial:

    http://notebooks.com/2011/05/05/How-to-load-BIOS-and-change-boot-configuration/

Once your computer is configured to boot from the DVD, you should see this option.

If you are installing from a USB key, see the instructions below how prepare your computer to boot from a:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-NZ/Windows7/start-your-computer-from-a-Windows-7-installation-disc-or-USB-flash-drive

    Click Install now
    Accept the license agreement
When the option is displayed to select a type of installation, click (Custom advanced)

Select the disk partition where you want to install Windows 8.1 click Next.

You will receive the following warning:

The partition you have selected may contain files from a previous Installation of Windows. If so, these files and folders will be moved to a folder named Windows.old. You will be able to access the information in Windows.old, but you will be able to use your previous version of Windows.

(At all costs, do NOT click on anything in Format, deletion or Partition name.) So even do a custom installation, your personal files are still kept. Click OK

The installation program will now begin installation. During installation, your computer will be restarted several times.

Once the installation is complete, you can complete the Out of Box experience as the choice of your laptop, create a username, password, your time zone. You can then proceed to download the latest updates for Windows and reinstall your applications and drivers.

You can then retrieve your personal files from the Windows.old folder and reinstall all of your applications and drivers.

  • BlackBerry Blackberry Q10 10.3.2 Z10 password ID issues

Hi, I need help with the Blackberry ID related issues. I recently got a Blackberry from my brother who went to the army where it is limited to use only a device equipped photo of Q10 Q10. Before moving to me, it has disabled Blackberry Protect and delete his personal data and I created my new Blackberry ID associated with my email of the company. However, as has happened the weekend, I couldn't "confirm" my email of the company (Blackberry ID) within 72 hours, and I refreshed the email confirmation, but for some reason, the BlackBerry ID password is incorrect and I can't 'confirm' the new password. Now when I click on BlackBerry ID of parameters, it is said; BlackBerry locked ID
BlackBerry ID password was entered several times incorrently. For security, your account has been locked. If you need create a new password, press Reset. When I clicked "Reset", there was a Question of recovery of the password when I recognize established when I created my BlackBerry ID. Because I can't recognize such a Question of safety, I can't go forward. Can you please what is happening or what I did wrong?

    Here is the information on BlackBerry ID of 'settings ';
BlackBerry ID username: my email company (not my brother ID more)
First & last & pseudonymous: my good names (not my brother more)
    Status of Confirmation e-mail: "unconfirmed".

    And here's what I did after I got on the phone;
    1. I have set up my new BlackBerry ID at the stage of initial configuration without a SIM card inside.
    2. I have never 'confirm' email (BlackBerry ID) within 72 hours. And since then, I can't email confirmation.
    3. I use Q10 with connections wifi at home & work.
    4. I finally incerted my SIM card, but I can't access the BlackBerry World.
    5. I took out my SIM card.
    6. Although I could never "confirming" State ID of BlackBerry, BlackBerry Protect is ON (enable) and I can't turn it off (keeps prompting the BlackBerry ID password associated with my email of the company and it is incorrect)
    7. I do not recognize the "recovery password (security) issue".

I read on internet that with BlackBerry Protect 10.3.2 feature is ENABLED, data wiping is useless without the BlackBerry ID password and it always will make the phone unusable. So I'm stuck...
At this moment, what I can do? And who instituted the "BlackBerry Password Recovery/Security Question in the first place?" I had to 'Confirm' the status of e-mail before using the phone? Can I go ahead and wipe my Q10 without knowing the 'BlackBerry ID password' or 'The password recovery Question?' I would be able to implement the new BlackBerry ID and the new password with my email of the company again? I'm just afraid that I'll do my Q10 permanently out of use. And what is locked BlackBerry ID (account)?

Sorry for writing such a long message, but I just don't know what to do now...

    Hi all

    Last updated:
Successfully, I received the Email 'confirm' to my company e-mail and updated the device information by resetting my BlackBerry ID password. I'm having no problem with BlackBerry Protect 10.3.2 / BlackBerry ID password.

    Kind regards

  • BlackBerry Q10 transfer old data blackberry device BlackBerry 10 device, without old blackberry device again

    Hello
I recently bought a new BlackBerry Q10, I got a 9790 "BOLD" of BlackBerry OS 7 before that and I had backed it up in BlackBerry Desktop Software. I had no knowledge that BlackBerry 10 devices do not work with BlackBerry Desktop Software, so I sold my Bold 9790 and then bought a Q10. I need to retrieve all the data from my old 9790 "BOLD" to my Q10, but unfortunately does not work with BlackBerry Desktop Software Q10. If I download BlackBerry link it will ask to connect to my old camera to transfer files.

So basically, I need to transfer my old phone to the new backup file.
    Please help me. Thank you.

First of all, the device is released for more than a year and a half.  BlackBerry has put the information out there.  I easily found the information below with a quick Google search that brought up this article, KB33322

While it has not yet been updated in order to take account of the last update for the link, I made a few minor changes to the instructions to join the same options in the new version of the link.

Multimedia files stored on the internal memory of the device will be transferred if you check the box "Multimedia files stored on the internal memory."  Multimedia files stored under the content on the old appliance store will not.

    Here are the instructions:

    1. Connect the 10 BlackBerry smartphone to the computer via the USB cable.
    2. On the left side of the BlackBerry connection screen, click on the name of the smartphone BlackBerry 10.
    3. Select restore device > Legacy device backup files.
    4. Select the desired backup file.
    5. Select the data to be restored in the smartphone BlackBerry 10. To restore data to all supported, select the checkbox restore all data .  Choose the data to restore select Custom Restore.
Note: for a description of data BlackBerry smartphone, refer to KB03974.
    6. Click restore.
  • Problem syncing blackBerry Q10 Q10

    Hello

Is a small question, possible to sync my Blackberry Q10 with Blackberry via Bluetooth connection?

Or I can do this only through the USB cable and WiFi?

    Thank you

Historically, it was hit and Miss. If your computer uses the "widcomm" bluetooth base drivers it can work. If your computer is provided vendor bluetooth drivers (toshiba or other drivers of the brand) then it probably won't work. BB software has always required that the base of windows drivers so that the bluetooth work. Even if you manage to remove the vendor provided drivers and use the base drivers you lose some of the advanced features your vendor provided drivers support.

  • BlackBerry Blackberry Q10 Assistant on automatically - keyboard does not work

    Hello

I have my phone Blackberry Q10 now for 1 month, and since a few days the problem has turned up, randomly Blackberry companion light automatically. Sometimes visible through the open window, App - but sometimes also without this, but you recognize because the keyboard no longer works. This can happen when you type a message.

The wizard then opens whenever I press the power button to lock the display so that the screen doesn't lock.

In all this is very annoying and makes the phone in time allmost impossible to use.

The solution only little time that I found is to close the wizard via the app Manager, but then it starts itself after maximum 1 h and the problem continues. I tried to disable all the functions of the wizard, but it does not help.

I would be very happy for any help with this problem. For example, is it possible to delete/disable the wizard?

    Best regards

    JWI

PS: OS Version is newly updated to 10.3.2.2836, but the problem existed before the update

    Hi jwi,.

Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums

  • BlackBerry Q10 in waiting for the new Q10 hit sprint but what will happen to my email?

Currently, I am waiting for the new Q10 hit sprint.  but I hear that I have will no longer be able to use my email with the new blackberry blackberry.net.  I currently use it as my email address.  1 it's true they won't E-mail blackberry and if so what steps do I need to take to make a smooth transition?

    1. Yes, the blackberry.net email is no longer available... and quite honestly, in my opinion, it's a good thing. Blackberry.net email is not available elsewhere ON your BlackBerry, you can view it on the handheld device itself and no backup otherwise. Get a free gmail, yahoo or Outlook.com account.

    2. read this: Article ID: KB33260 (hosted) BlackBerry e-mail address reference for BlackBerry OS 10

Then, create and start using another free email account now. When you finally go to the thread at BlackBerry10, you will have your solution in place for shipping the blackberry.net email account.

  • BlackBerry Blackberry Q10 ID deleted with Blackberry Protect to the

    Hello

I do not own the Blackberry device, but my father and I think he did something wrong. He asked me to write to you to help you, because he can't use his device because it deleted the Blackberry account. On October 23, he bought Blackberry Q10 and on 26 October, he deleted an account (he had some problems with the reception of e-mails and he thought that it might help). He also said that the problem might be related with Blackberry Protect. What can I do to make him his device working properly?

Greetings from Poland and thanks for any help.

    MREX.

You can try. I don't think he'll do good. Why BlackBerry would be to blame when they provide a big warning that says do not remove the BBID if it is connected to a device?

    How can I do this
