New user account appearing is not in Windows Explorer (Windows 7)

I just got my reset of the HP laptop and I'm trying to set up a new account, I followed the procedure, but my new account does not appear in the list of users under Windows Explorer. only one generic user appears.

When you create a new user account in Windows 7, it prepares the system for the new profile, but does not create records.

User files are only created when a new user connects to Windows first. While Windows creates the folder structure for the new user, you will see the text in preparing your desktop on the Welcome screen. That's why the first connection to a new user profile takes a little longer than usual.

So to see a new user profile folders in Explorer you should first user or disconnection of the account used to create the new user, and then connect to the new user profile.

  • I can't create a new user account (Windows 7): the user profile service service has no logon

I tried to create a new user account, but I get the following error when I try to open a session with him:

the user profile service service has no logon

Until I leave than anything more I will add that I activated the hidden administrator account and this is the account I use to create a new standard user account.

Most of the patches for this issue are due to the fact that delete manually a user account does not remove the registry key that are associated, and you are required to go to the next section of the registry:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\WINDOWS NT\CURRENTVERSION\PROFILELIST

and delete the key associated with the user account to be deleted.

This fix IS NOT help, because whenever I try to create a new user, Windows doesn't bother creating a registry key to the new user.  The new user account appears in the account management window.  If I right click ondesktop and select Properties, then the settings , select the Advanced tab and click settingsunder USER PROFILES, the new account appears not here no more.

It is a huge problem.  I have other people who use this laptop and I don't want to use my login information, or the guest account.  I'm not editing the registry just to make a new account.

Please tell me there is a fix for this that works.  Windows 7 was not free, and this kind of problem is very frustrating for the premium software.

Thanks - this is the only tip that help me to find the solution to this problem.

Two files in the folder C:\Users\Default\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Live could not be copied without administrator privileges.  This caused the connection in the attempt fail for all newly created user accounts.  The files are:

    C:\Users\Default\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Live\Bici\Bici1_00.sqm

    and

    C:\Users\Default\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Live\SqmApi\SqmData720896_00.sqm

I've added the read permission for all users in these two files and retried the logon.  The opening of session proceeded set up initial user and filled perfectly.  Probably, this problem started when I installed Windows Live Messenger which is the only Windows Live application, I installed.

Other important in your message board was to check the event log which stressed the two files which could not copy.  Otherwise provided in WARNING messages immediately preceded files event log error message indicates that the profile service could not connect.

  • New user accounts won't load

Recently, I tried to set up a new user account for my fiancé on windows vista (64-bit). I have never tried to create a user account on this PC before, but did it often on other systems.

The account seems to be created very well, but when you try to log on to her computer freezes on the 'welcome' or 'office preparation' steps log in. I tried to delete the user account and making it once more. The same thing happens when I turn on the guest account. My account 'admin' of origin works fine, but the problem persists or not the new user is "admin" or not.

Can access other accounts in Mode safe, I don't know what to do from there to solve the problem. To retry again in normal mode the computer freezes.

No error message is displayed. The PC becomes totally unresponsive to everything I tried - Ctrl + Alt + Delete or keep the keys F for example. The only way to restart seems to turn the unit off. The gel lasts indefinitely (I tried to leave during the night and in the morning it's the same thing).

Your help will be massively appreciated!

    Hi Chris,
In addition to the suggestion of Michael Murphy. Try the following.

You are able to connect to an account in safe mode, there must be some programs that are unable to laod. We recommend that you try the following steps.
    Step 1: Safe mode.
    1. start the computer in safe mode.
Start your computer in safe mode: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Start-your-computer-in-safe-mode
2 disable all non-Microsoft programs. Try the following steps.
    a. Click Start, type msconfig.exe in the start search box and press ENTER to start the System Configuration utility.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue.
    b. on the general tab, click Selective startup, and then clear the check box load startup items. (The check box use the file Boot is not available.)
    c. on the Services tab, click to select the skin all the Microsoft services check box, and then click Disable all.
    d. click OK, click on restart and try to sign in to a user account (not in safe mode).

Step 2: If you are able to connect to a user account by disabling all non-Microsoft programs, find out who is causing the problem.
Read the following article and follow step 2 to step 6 to determine which is the origin of the problem: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135
When you have found the culprit, check if there are any patches or updates available for this purpose.

Step 3: Start the computer in normal mode.
    1. click on start, type msconfig.exe in the start search box and press ENTER.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue.
    2. on the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK.
    3. When you are prompted to restart the computer, click on restart.

  • I created a new user account, but it does not appear to connect to it. (Vista Home Premium)

I created a new user account for my admin account.  I tried to create a standard account and I tried to change to an administrator account.  The only place that this account presents itself is managing it new user accounts in Control Panel.  If I try to change user or sign out and then sign back, it never gives me the possibility to sign until the new user account that I created.

I read another post that said to try to restart in safe mode, what I tried without success.

I also don't get no error messages, so I was not trying to fix anything, given that I'm not sure it's broken and I don't want to do something worse.  I only use this computer and Vista for a few days now, so I hope it's something simple I'm missing because I am not yet familiar with the operating system.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

  • Cannot create a new user account, the user profile service service does not log and cannot install a program

I can't create a new user account (Windows 7): the user profile service service has no logon.

I have an administrative account which is the only account. I have problems with the installation of Autodesk Inventor so I need to create another user to see if I can solve the problem. But when I want to make a new user account and I get the following message: I can't create a new user account (Windows 7): the user profile service service has no logon.

I haven't added new programs in a long time and I don't know when this question has been raised as I've had my laptop for 3 years and this is the first time I create another account than my original. I don't want to reset my computer manufactured settings.

I also followed the http://support2.microsoft.com/kb/947215/en-us but I can't find any registry master in the list of profiles. In fact, I am the only user in there...

It seems that my computer does not have a record in the system registry.

In fact, the problem started when I tried to fix the "C:\windows\system32\config\systemprofile\desktop refers to a location that is unavailable. It could be on a hard drive on this computer.or on a network. Check to make sure that the disc is inserted correctly, or that you are connected to the Internet or your network, and then try again. If he can't always find the information could have been moved to another location. "I was at least able to connect in the new user but will load a default profile and therefore do not load the profile properly. It seems I've done worse the problem after doing

    gpupdate/force

at the prompt as an administrator.

The very initial problem started all this was when I was running from Autodesk Inventor, it gives me the following error: Mismatched Ole32.dll and Comcat.dll. And the support2.microsoft.com/kb/201364/en-us is to say that since I am under Win7, the solution is not applied. So I'm stuck. And the next move was trying to see if a new user profile may solve the problem.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

And if possible, please also suggest a "repair" method so I can get Win7 function correctly without reinstalling the whole machine. "" I use a laptop so I do not have installation media.

    Thank you.

    Hello

Thank you for your update on the issue.

I suggest that you try to run the file system (CFS) Checker scan to check all the corruption of .dll files.

    1. Go to Start, click all programs and open the Accessories.
    2. Right-click on command prompt in the list programs, and then select run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click OK.
    3. In the command prompt, type the following command and press ENTER:
      sfc/scannow

Good people you've heard of this one before:

I can connect to my basic admin account, but not others.  I tried to create new user accounts after you delete the old user accounts but system would not apparently carry out process.  I get the following warning:

Service user profile Service failed to connect
    User profile cannot be loaded.

I tried all of the recommended patches (see list below)

1 ran all appropriate steps as stated in the article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947215 - no joy
There is not other profiles listed in the register except the administrator account on the basis and since I couldn't connect successfully to a user apparently newly created accounts, the profile has not completed the process of generation.

    Hi B Pick,

Thanks for posting us the Forum of community of answers.microsoft.com.

Since he had been some time since your last post, we marked this as resolved.  Recently I saw messages and found that you had posted about it recently.  Sometimes if a thread shows solved it do not get reviewed again, so, my apologies, it took some time to answer.

A point of interest in considering the issue of "unable to create a user account having administrative rights" is can create you an account that has no administrative rights from another account and then you use that has administrative rights?  Information Justin had submitted and information, I'm reviewing, it would be very beneficial for our steps in troubleshooting to have this documented as being verified.

You would present to us in the forum if this is something you are able to accomplish in a new administrative account that you create for this system?

In another order of ideas, it would be that there are suspicious software loaded on the system.  Try running scan of Virus and malware removal tool.

Here are some links for the Microsoft-Authored applications for these procedures.  Check if these are products that you want to use, or if you have already produced in place for this activity to use them if you wish.

  • Mysterious new user accounts

I recently discovered two new user accounts on my computer and no idea how they got there.  They have weird names - A65AECA2A06F4887AB00 and AE2640E6361B4955B850.  They are standard users, and it seems that they have created 4 minutes ago.  I use Norton 360 and I don't use WiFi.  I do virtually no download and rarely accept attachments from anyone.  I am running Windows 7.  These accounts appear in the Control Panel, but if you try to switch users, only my administrative accounts and no administrator will appear.  How can I understand whence came the these accounts?

    Hello

    Please follow the steps below.

    Method 1:

I suggest you to download and run the latest Microsoft security on your computer Scanner and check if it helps:
    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx
Note: the data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means there is a risk of data loss.

    Method 2:

    To delete user accounts.

    19 = local service,

    20 = network service,

This is the thread I can not create a new user account (Windows 7): the user profile service service doesn't have the logon

You find it difficult to follow the thread as it's long and reported problem by different people to confuse it and there is also a bit of bickering [long filaments often end up being quite incomprehensible].

..., See references to the event viewer in the middle of page 4 and Windows Live we [at the bottom of page 2 more on page 3].

I see not the logic of the any of those things, but if one of them do things long enough that you are trying to create new accounts that works, you will know how in the future until a proper solution is found.

This is the useful part where this user has tested the solutions proposed in this thread linked above: -.

This has proved to contain leads to a difficulty.  Have to admit, when I read everything the first time, several days, I did indeed find it confusing and even the parts that I "heard" (sorta) does not appear to be related to my symptoms.

It turns out that the answer of JDMICHAL May 17, 2011 contained this:

    (1) C:\Users\Default\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows open live
    (2) this directory has two subdirectories with a single file of each. Go into each directory and apply the following:
    (a) make a right click on the file, open the properties.
    (b) click the Security tab.
    (c) it will issue a message: "to continue, you must be an administrative user with permission to view this object's security properties. Would continue you? ». Click on the button continue.
    (d) click on the Add button...
    (e) ' everyone' type in the box at the bottom of the dialog box. Click on "check names"; It should be emphasized the "everyone". Click OK.
    (f) ensure that the new "Everyone" entry "read" and "read & run" check under the column "allow".

After doing this for two files, attempt to connect to the account. He must undergo.

The procedure (bascially) worked... Although the different answers on my system differed slightly along the way (perhaps due to the slightly different versions of Win 7?, because I was already logged in as an administrator?).

In any case, "Everyone" with the read and read/execute permissions adding to these two files seems to have done the trick:

    C:\Users\Default\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Live\Bici\Bici1_00.sqm

    and

    C:\Users\Default\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Live\SqmApi\SqmData720896_00.sqm

Thank you for leading me to this!

  • Cannot create a new user account

    Hello and good evening,

I have a laptop HP Pavilion I've had for about a month. I was creating a HP recovery disk. As I didn't have the right amount of available disks, I cancelled it. The next time I went to do the same thing, there was a message in the HP support assistant saying that the recovery disk was no longer available.  So I created an image of the system in case I ever needed to recover my OS. It was stored on drive C. I copied and pasted into the recovery d drive [I don't know if you can do].

Anyway, some things have changed after I created the image of the system. The C: disk OS folder has been renamed Windows C:.

I felt a little uncomfortable about the whole, so I thought that I create another user account. Hoping that this would also restore my HP Recovery disk.

In any case, I went to do this and all seems to be OK, install applications and so on, until he came to a blue screen that says "Please wait". He remained on the screen for about 2 hours, after which the battery was flat. I repowered it and he started upward. He returned the same screen. I took the battery and plugged a USB based recovery disk. This led me to the Welcome screen, and I could log into my original user account.

I'm not game to try again to create another user account in case something terrible happens and it does not restart.

    What should I do?

    1. create another user account give back me my recovery drive originalHP?

2 could have another go to make him a corruption on my hard drive?

I don't know if it's an HP or a problem of Windows 8, so I posted both.

    I hope someone can help

    Chris

    Hi jcdck,

I see that you have some problems with your recovery disk. Create a new user account won't get your recovery disk. The same file structure will be implemented regardless of the user account. You should not generally be copy or save anything on the recovery disk.

You should be able to restore your PC to factory settings , but you need to back up personal files on an external drive or burn to a CD. It might not get your recovery back disc because this isn't the Windows function of HP.

Your only other option is to order the recovery CD for your model. If you can provide me with your product number I should be able to get your link to order. Are which country you located?

    Thank you

    Hello

1 are there any changes or updates made on the computer before the show?

    2. what browser you use on the computer?

    Method 1:

If you use Internet Explorer and you should disable or hide pictures, then I suggest you to follow the following steps:

    a. open Internet Explorer.

    b. click on Tools.

    c. click on Internet Options.

    d. on the Advanced tab, check the option show the pictures.

    e. click apply and OK.

    Method 2:

I suggest to optimize Internet Explorer and check to see if it helps.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/936213/ro

Note: Please note that reset settings Internet Explorer (IE) will reset all of the settings defined by the user, including those established by the installed extensions, toolbars and other add-ons for IE by default. This includes all the security, privacy and settings area. Also this will erase browsing history, delete all temporary Internet, cookies, form data files and especially all the passwords.

    Method 3:

I suggest to create a new user account and check if the problem persists.

    Create a user profile.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/create-a-user-account

If the new user profile resolves the problem, you can screw the corrupted profile and re - install the applications and programs.
