NFS datastore = > no host not connected, impossible to remove

Hello

I have a NFS datastore (it was an ISO repository), I need to delete. So I deleted all records from this share

My problem is I disassembled it all hosts and the data store is still visible in my inventory and I am unable to remove it.

When I try "Datastore Mounte to... additional host", the Wizard run in an endless loop and does not load the list of hosts.

On my hosts, the NFS share is not visible. So nothing stuck because of a file in use.

Have you already encountered this problem?

Sorry found the culpit... instant on the virtual machines (with mapped CD-ROM).

• NFS datastore continues to lose connectivity

Please can someone help me. I created a test bench using vmworksatation and built two esx servers 4. Everything is ok here I installed vc on a 2008 sp2 box and can connect ok. I also installed Windows to unix Server r3 2003 and created an NFS share. My problem is I connect and create a new DS on a drive shared NFS. Everything looks ok and then I am unable to connect to the DS because its inactive. Sometimes I can disassemble sometimes I can't. The connection is intermittent and can restore as fast as she disconnects.

For beginners, I recommend Ubuntu because it is perhaps the friendliest beginner version (but the above command will not work). But you can also try (OpenSuSE and SLES) SuSE or RedHat (CentOS or RHEL) because they are linux distributions that are ment for the business or non-use.

I think that they all provide graphical tools for Configuring NFS.

• F4140 does not. Impossible to remove, the software says it is not installed, but then will not re - install

The printer is not working so I want to remove and re-install, BUT the printer is not in Add/Remove Programs (I have XP). I downloaded the complete installation package and tried uninstalling it, but the unistall program says that nothing is installed. Then I tried to install it but it says that the software is already installed and does not settle anything. I'm really stuck this time. I wish that HP had a "cleaner" uses, because obviously, the registry or something is out of sync. Help, please!

Hey there,

Here's how you can uninstall it by using the brush that is built into the software. I've included the two options on how to access the cleaning brush. Simply choose which option is easiest for you.

Option 1: From Original installation CD:

1. Insert the CD in the drive and then cancel Setup
2. open my computer and click right then on the CD from the drive and select open
3 open the Util folder
4 open the CCC folder
5. If you have an HP computer, run the L3uninstall.exe. If you have a computer not HP, run the L4uninstall.exe
6. once the uninstall is complete, restart the computer
7 run the Accessories\ System Tools Disk Cleanup
8. download and install the latest version of Adobe flash player
http://www.Adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html
9 download drivers and full software features
http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=Al-64285-2&cc=us&DLC=en&LC=en&OS=228&product=3235310&sw_lang=
10. run the download to reinstall the printer

Option 2: If the software has been downloaded and extracted to your system:
1. type % temp % in the field of race
2. Locate and open the folder starting with 7z (example: 7zS2356)
3 open the Util folder
4 open the CCC folder
5. If you have an HP computer, run the L3uninstall.exe. If you have a computer not HP, run the L4uninstall.exe
6. once the uninstall is complete, restart the computer
7 run the Accessories\ System Tools Disk Cleanup
8. download and install the latest version of Adobe flash player
http://www.Adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html
9 download drivers and full software features

10. run the download to reinstall the printer

I hope this helps!

• Windows do not install ISO in the NFS datastore

Hi all

I searched this forum for a few days and tried to suggestions from different positions without success. I recently installed ESXi 5.1 update 1. I have setup a NFS datastore on the same computer by using a USB external hard drive. I was able to install RHEL6 using an iso from the NFS data store. The problem is that I can't install Windows by using an iso of Windows 7. Whenever the virtual computer is booted, it aims to achieve crashes and boot TFTP. No iso standard is detected. I tried the following:

1. guaranteed 'Connected' and 'Connect at Power On' options for CD/DVD are verified. However, I have noticed that when the virtual machine starts, the 'Connected' for Windows option becomes not controlled. This is not the case for the Linux VM.

2. change the boot order in BIOS to the first boot from CD/DVD.

3. uncontrolled ' connect at power on "for network adapters.

Even after these changes, VM trying to do a start-up network and TFTP.

The next thing I did:

4 network cards removed from the BIOS (by changing configuration).

For the moment, VM does not network boot attempt, but complains that the operating system was not detected.

Few details on the NFS datastore:

1. 1 TB external USB with 2 Configuration of partitions ext4 as an NFS share to the RHEL6 server on the same machine.

2. NFS configured correctly because I can install from an iso RHEL6 very well.

Am I missing something? Nothing wrong with iso of Windows. I used it elsewhere. Also tried a different iso Windows without success. Help, please. Thanks in advance for your time.

Kind regards.

As the ISO for the operating system files are big and sometimes take a considerable amount of clusters on the hard drive make a control office (or a scan of the drive) can fix corrupt ISO file. and to make sure that your ISO is not corrupted try to open it with Winrar and extract a file from it.

• vSphere client using the name Netbios on ESXi host does not connect using the credentials of a Windows session

I have 3 ESXi 5.5 hosts, all connected to a single server vCenter, where we try to authenticate directly to the host by using the windows logon credentials. I have installation of the Administrators group of ESX and filled with the admin accounts that I want to be able to authenticate to the host. The Netbios name of the domain is tstdomain (for example) where the domain name is tstdomain.com. If I connect directly to a host and check the checkbox 'Use Windows Session Credentials', the vSphere client will default by using the Netbios name of tstdomain\adminusername and the connection will fail indicating that the username and/or password is incorrect. If I enter the domain name of tstdomain.com\adminusername, I am able to connect to the host without error.

Does anyone know how get past that this matter have the vSphere client uses the domain name or to use the Netbios name and connect with the credentials to active directory? I looked by editing the file/etc/hosts and checked that the SPN of the host is correct in active directory with the command hostname setspn - l, with no luck on one. I also tried to change the field of research for the Netbios name of tstdomain rather than the tstdomain.com domain name, also did not work.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions on how to correct the problem.

Seems that this issue was due to a slow network and the connection timeout when you try to talk to the domain controller. I am able to connect with windows creds now, but the connection is very slow. I increased the default period of 30 to 60 seconds to help work around the problem.

I checked the checked the file /etc/resolv.conf Bed & Breakfast.

I am able to ssh on the server as well as the use of WinSCP without any problem.

I can connect with the VI Client also without problem.

Any ideas?

The problem has been resolved.

The fix:

=====

# vimsh-e - n/hostsvc/hostsummary | grep inMaintenanceMode

Using the libcrypto, version 90809F

inMaintenanceMode = false,

# vim-cmd/hostsvc/hostsummary | grep inMaintenanceMode

Rationality for the problem is these commands (vim - FCM or vimsh) were unable to communicate due to lack of xinetd process.

Hi Kelly,

Maximum machines, the license can be activated is 2. Somehow, it seems that on your side the same license can be activated on any 3rd machine as well.

Activating the license on any other machine, please select the option to disconnect all other devices and try again.

Reference: connect and disconnect activate Cloud Creative applications (deactivated)

Kind regards

• Cannot remove/remove NFS datastore because its use, but is not

I am trying to remove an old NFS data store, but I get an error message saying that it is in use. I find the virtual machine that he believes is used, stepped through all the parameters of the virtual machine and there is nothing pointing to this NFS datastore. I also tried to remove the store of data from the command line using 'esxcfg-nas - d < NFS_Datastore_Name >. That returned an error saying "unknown, cannot delete file system. Even 30 minutes before I was access and moving data out of this data to another ESX host store. I don't know what else to try. Can someone please help?

It also still shows up on top of the virtual machine as used storage an idle...

The virtual machine has an active overview that was created while the virtual machine was on the NFS datastore?

• Could not connect to smtp host: < ip >, port: 25, response: 421

Hello

I'm under java program sends single e-mail thread on. He sends about 250 emails per minute.
Emails sent with success, but after a few hours I still get email exception "could not connect to smtp host: < ip >, port: 25, response: 421.

Once this happens he has stopped coming. I had to restart the application server for this one.

I wonder why emails are sent in even if e-mail exception occurs?

any help will be appreciated.

Thank you

I'm not close connection to the finally block.

So close a finally block.

I have an old version of mail.jar (1.3.1)

• Check if host are connected to Virtual Center, not a cmdlet command, but from a file

Sometimes, I have to work on a list of hosts that are part of Virtual Center. But are are not organized in glomeruli or records or any cmdlet that I can call.

So sometimes I run scripts based on the list generated by the user below is an example of the code how I work against the list of hosts.

$list = Get-Content "C:\Program Files\PowerGUI\goodhost1.txt".

ForEach ($server in $list) {($luns = Get-ScsiLun -Server $vcs -VmHost $server)}

Sometimes these Listehotes can come from a database. The database sometimes misspells the hostname. So before working on the host I ping them and generate a list of capable host computer ping and not able ping. Those who were not able to ping usually strike fault in the host name, and I would easily fix those and put them in a master host list.

So in essence, my script runs when I have a master host list. But when the host is not connected in Virtual Center my script breaks. So, I have to go change my master host list and get him out of the host that the script has run on including that which has not been connected and re-run the script. Kind of pain.

So what I'm looking for is a code example or idea on how to check if the list of my host against virtual center to see if its already connected.

When you work with the cmdlets I use something like this

Get-vmhost | where {$_.} State - eq 'Connected'}

I could do something similar? With my own list.

Thank you

Oh sure!

Get-VMHost | Where {((Get-Content "D:\scripts\hostsfile.txt") -contains $_.Name) -and ($_.State -eq "Connected")}
