no access to internet after waking up from hibernation?

I have a laptop HP G42 - 23OUS windows 7 Home premium PC. I bought ebay last manufacturer, was refurbished. Also, I use wireless internet. I totally love it, but on the one hand - whenever the computer wakes up from hibernation mode it does not connect to the internet! I have to restart the computer before it will reconnect to the internet, which the ruins completely the whole mode of hibernation in a first time!
To avoid this problem, I changed so that while that plugged power settings it will never go into hibernation mode & rather will just idle until I have press the key again. That said, it is no longer a huge problem, but I'd still like to know why this happened & what, if anything I could do to fix?
Thanks for any info you can give me about this someone ' one/everyone!

If all goes well, the problem will be solved.

  • Satellite Pro M70-275: screen doesn't work after waking up from hibernation.

    Hello

I sometimes encounter this problem: when starting the hibernation (not sure of the English term, although that. "light sleep" mode in WinXP...) the screen turns on again. The operating system seems to be up and running again, but I really don't know because I do not...
Sometimes it works fine, but I would like that it works all the time.

    Any ideas?

    Hello

Will there be the same situation after waking from sleep mode?

James is right. Usually, this kind of questions is fixed with the new version of the BIOS, but you can also try installing the latest version of Power saver utility.

If anything maybe you must reinstall the OS using supplied recovery DVDs.

  • G560 - network disconnected after waking up from hibernation

During the last two days, my laptop Lenovo G560 (running Windows 7, 64-bit, BIOS 2.10) has had problems with its (wired) network card after waking from hibernation. It is shown as disconnected (even as if the cable was physically detached). The only big change I played in the last few days has been installed Service Pack 1. However, the problem only appeared about two days after, so I don't know if this is related at all.

In this case, IPCONFIG shows the following for the NETWORK card:

Ethernet connection to the Local network card:

State of the media...: Media disconnected

    If I try IPCONFIG/renew, I get

    Windows IP configuration

No operations can be performed on the connection to the Local network, although it has its media disconnected.

Hovering over the said tray icon "not connected". Troubleshooting of course can't find anything. Also, there is no weird in event viewer entries (unless they are hidden somewhere in other modes). Basically, the behavior is identical to when the network cable is physically disconnected (disconnected).

In addition, disconnect the network cable, wait a few minutes and in him plugging back again once does nothing.

For now, I have two workaround solutions:

    -system reboot

-right click on the connection to the Local network (in network connections), select DISABLE from the menu, wait a few moments and then choosing the option ENABLE on the shortcut menu.

Is there a better solution to this? Speculation on what might be the reason for this problem all of a sudden?

Right click on my computer > manage > device management > network cards > select wireless adapter > properties > under power management tab, clear the check box to be able to save "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power".

Restart your computer and check if it works.

Please post back with the results.

  • Satellite P200-144: Resolution changes after waking up from hibernation

On my P200 Satelltie I put the graphic resolution of 1440 x 900,
but on wakinging it from hibernation, it reduces the resolution.

Also about removing an external display, it does the same thing.
Annoying because I have to reset the resolution and rearrange icons desk top of the page every time.

Any body know how to pass this auto reset cut, so that it remains with the setting of the resolution?

I have too many P200, but everything works fine. You have operating system using recovery DVDs.
By the way: what operating system do you use?

  • Satellite Pro L20: Showing empty after waking up from hibernation

I've had my laptop Satellite Pro L20 a year now and it has been slowing recently, especially when starting after being in hibernation mode.

It is even now not return back. I had placed it in hibernation, and then when I tried to turn it on again, it hummed as if it was put into service, but the screen remains blank.

I don't think that he is in communication with the rest of the laptop. I tried to restart it several times but I still can't out of his inactive hibernation mode and the monitor simply unresponsive.

Any help would be appreciated kindly!

    Hello

    > I've had my laptop Satellite Pro L20 a year now and it has been slowing recently,.
Maybe you should clean the HARD drive and also use defragmentation application to optimize the data saved on the HARD drive.

Back to your problem: I don't know if this will help, but you can try to do the BIOS update or install the latest driver from Toshiba support page display.

    Hello

Check the updated drivers for the NETWORK card and WiFi.

Control Panel - network - write down of the brand and the model of the Wifi - double click top - tab of the driver - write
version - click the driver update (cannot do something that MS is far behind the pilots of certification). Then
Right click on the Wifi device and UNINSTALL - Reboot - it will refresh the driver stack.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

Repeat above for network card (NIC) and is a good time to get the other updated drivers Vista
    love the updated drivers.

I would also turn off auto update for the drivers. If the updates Windows suggests a just HIDE as they
are almost always old, and you can search drivers manually as needed.

  • T410 - washed out colors or lines after waking up from suspend

I have a strange problem with the display on my new Thinkpad T410. I don't know yet how to describe. Red, green and blue still exist, like black and white, but the brightness between the two levels are washed out or banded. I tried to take pictures of some color models to demonstrate.

Most of the time, the screen works as I expect. Sometimes however (especially after waking up from his sleep?) the gray borders around things seem too bright and washed out colors. When this happens, he persists and worsens slowly over time.

If I change the brightness of the screen from top to bottom with Fn + start/end, the effect will change randomly to each pressure, sometimes changing to something even worse, showing a lot of color, strips or almost monochrome, but then to the lesser model, but will always go wrong.

    Not affected by:

    • Change brightness
    • closing cover
    • move to the rear and projection screen
    • locking computer
    • Changing resolution
    • change refresh rate
    • change to 16-bit color
    • tapping or screen rotation

Didn't happen since I installed the new BIOS.

It is never 100% secure access to internet at any time, no matter what security software is installed and what operating system is running. After April 8, the XP operating system will be more and more insecure as and when new ways to exploit the vulnerabilities of Microsoft surface will not provide fixed by Windows Update. As its use XP dies offshore, I think that there will come a time where criminals lose XP and move their efforts towards OSs more popular but I can't say when it will be, no one can.

  • Satellite P750 waking up from hibernation

I have Satelitte P750 and Windows 7 home 64 bit.

The problem occurs after I put in hibernation for laptop. He wakes up without reason (exactly - I don't know why).
It can be dangerous posibly for my hard drive and data when he wakes up for example in the backpacking trip - I thought that when the laptop is in hibernation may not wake up without user action.

I looked through the logs of windows, and I think TOSHIBA service station looks suspicious...

    How to activate offf?

    Hello

Usually the laptop should not reactivate hibernation without pressing a power button, but there are a few options that could affect it.

    Please check the BIOS.
You can find called Wake LAN up or Wake up keyboard options
All of these options that might be responsible for this, you need to disable
