Computer is unlocked after waking up from hibernation

My computer is unlocked when he wakes up after hibernation, it's that everything works well, but these last days, it is weird. I tried to restart my computer in Eve extended and checked again and same thing.

Well, I only came here for a workaround, really.

Found the fix here:
The option is grayed out, had to reset it.
Fixed now.

  • G560 - network disconnected after waking up from hibernation

During the last two days, my laptop Lenovo G560 (running Windows 7, 64-bit, BIOS 2.10) has had problems with its (wired) network card after waking from hibernation. It is shown as disconnected (even as if the cable was physically detached). The only big change I played in the last few days has been installed Service Pack 1. However, the problem only appeared about two days after, so I don't know if this is related at all.

In this case, IPCONFIG shows the following for the NETWORK card:

Ethernet connection to the Local network card:

State of the media...: Media disconnected

    If I try IPCONFIG/renew, I get

    Windows IP configuration

No operations can be performed on the connection to the Local network, although it has its media disconnected.

Hovering over the said tray icon "not connected". Troubleshooting of course can't find anything. Also, there is no weird in event viewer entries (unless they are hidden somewhere in other modes). Basically, the behavior is identical to when the network cable is physically disconnected (disconnected).

In addition, disconnect the network cable, wait a few minutes and in him plugging back again once does nothing.

For now, I have two workaround solutions:

    -system reboot

-right click on the connection to the Local network (in network connections), select DISABLE from the menu, wait a few moments and then choosing the option ENABLE on the shortcut menu.

Is there a better solution to this? Speculation on what might be the reason for this problem all of a sudden?

Right click on my computer > manage > device management > network cards > select wireless adapter > properties > under power management tab, clear the check box to be able to save "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power".

Restart your computer and check if it works.

Please post back with the results.

  • Satellite Pro M70-275: screen doesn't work after waking up from hibernation.

    Hello

I sometimes encounter this problem: when starting the hibernation (not sure of the English term, although that. "light sleep" mode in WinXP...) the screen turns on again. The operating system seems to be up and running again, but I really don't know because I do not...
Sometimes it works fine, but I would like that it works all the time.

    Any ideas?

    Hello

Will there be the same situation after waking from sleep mode?

James is right. Usually, this kind of questions is fixed with the new version of the BIOS, but you can also try installing the latest version of Power saver utility.

If anything maybe you must reinstall the OS using supplied recovery DVDs.

  • no access to internet after waking up from hibernation?

I have a laptop HP G42 - 23OUS windows 7 Home premium PC. I bought ebay last manufacturer, was refurbished. Also, I use wireless internet. I totally love it, but on the one hand - whenever the computer wakes up from hibernation mode it does not connect to the internet! I have to restart the computer before it will reconnect to the internet, which the ruins completely the whole mode of hibernation in a first time!
To avoid this problem, I changed so that while that plugged power settings it will never go into hibernation mode & rather will just idle until I have press the key again. That said, it is no longer a huge problem, but I'd still like to know why this happened & what, if anything I could do to fix?
Thanks for any info you can give me about this someone ' one/everyone!

  • Satellite P200-144: Resolution changes after waking up from hibernation

On my P200 Satelltie I put the graphic resolution of 1440 x 900,
but on wakinging it from hibernation, it reduces the resolution.

Also about removing an external display, it does the same thing.
Annoying because I have to reset the resolution and rearrange icons desk top of the page every time.

Any body know how to pass this auto reset cut, so that it remains with the setting of the resolution?

I have too many P200, but everything works fine. You have operating system using recovery DVDs.
By the way: what operating system do you use?

  • Satellite Pro L20: Showing empty after waking up from hibernation

I've had my laptop Satellite Pro L20 a year now and it has been slowing recently, especially when starting after being in hibernation mode.

It is even now not return back. I had placed it in hibernation, and then when I tried to turn it on again, it hummed as if it was put into service, but the screen remains blank.

I don't think that he is in communication with the rest of the laptop. I tried to restart it several times but I still can't out of his inactive hibernation mode and the monitor simply unresponsive.

Any help would be appreciated kindly!

    Hello

    > I've had my laptop Satellite Pro L20 a year now and it has been slowing recently,.
Maybe you should clean the HARD drive and also use defragmentation application to optimize the data saved on the HARD drive.

Back to your problem: I don't know if this will help, but you can try to do the BIOS update or install the latest driver from Toshiba support page display.

  • Computer is unresponsive after waking it from sleep mode

This is starting to happen more frequently.

I put my computer to sleep and 5 minutes in forest exploitation and using anything (e.g., google chrome or itunes), the application crashes.  I then click on Ctrl-alt-del, but never, it appears (usually works).  Then I move the taskbar, and it shows a "explorer.exe is not responding...". ».  Then the entire computer just freezes, and then the only thing I can do is hold down the power button to force a stop.

My wife's computer is also windows 7, and it still works ("not responding") when she wakes up from his sleep.  If its something with my computer.

Is there any solution for this?

    Hi XxRicyxX,

    (1) remember you to make changes to the computer before this problem?

Step 1: Disconnect all external devices (printers, scanner, USB (universal serial bus) drives, etc...)  Except the mouse and keyboard, and then test to see if the problem persists

If this solves the problem, then add back devices at a time until you discover the piece of hardware causing the issue.  Then get any drivers\software update for the device.

Step 2: Run the troubleshooter to power and check to see if that corrects this problem

    Open the troubleshooter of power
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/open-the-power-Troubleshooter

Step 3:  Clean boot the computer, allow the computer to sleep and test

Follow step 1 in the link below

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

If everything works well after a clean boot, you can deduce that some third-party services are at the origin of the problem.

Continue with the remaining steps to pin-point on the third party service.

After find you the program that is causing the problem, you will have to perhaps to update or install a newer version of the program, if you rarely use that you should consider uninstalling the software.

Important: Be sure to put the computer on normal startup followed step 7 in the link.

  • Satellite P750 - resonding stops after waking up from hibernation

If anyone can help, I recenty purchased a P750 Satellite equipped with an i7 processor it has 4 GB of RAM. I was experencing problems since buying it. It seems to just stop responding the round icon turns showing his thought but I can wait 10-15 minutes and there is no change. This problem occurs sporaticly and sometimes occurs when loading new programs. The problem happens almost all the time if he entered hybernation and when I wake with the mouse, it starts but when I have to connect to the net, for example, he will bring to the top of the page of internet explore and the round icon will be spinning and it will stay like that for centuries until what I am forced to close it with the start and stop button. When I have this problem I have tried using CTRL ALT DELETE to open the Task Manager but the Manager tasks will not respond.

If anyone has had the same problem and is there a solution. Note When I turn the disk protection mode HARD the probem seems to happen less frequently but persists.

    Hi captain101,

Wait a minute, please. Icon of what you mean exactly? I don't know what you're talking about, so a more detailed description of this icon would be useful.

  • T410 - washed out colors or lines after waking up from suspend

I have a strange problem with the display on my new Thinkpad T410. I don't know yet how to describe. Red, green and blue still exist, like black and white, but the brightness between the two levels are washed out or banded. I tried to take pictures of some color models to demonstrate.

Most of the time, the screen works as I expect. Sometimes however (especially after waking up from his sleep?) the gray borders around things seem too bright and washed out colors. When this happens, he persists and worsens slowly over time.

If I change the brightness of the screen from top to bottom with Fn + start/end, the effect will change randomly to each pressure, sometimes changing to something even worse, showing a lot of color, strips or almost monochrome, but then to the lesser model, but will always go wrong.

    Not affected by:

    • Change brightness
    • closing cover
    • move to the rear and projection screen
    • locking computer
    • Changing resolution
    • change refresh rate
    • change to 16-bit color
    • tapping or screen rotation

Didn't happen since I installed the new BIOS.

  • Satellite P750 waking up from hibernation

I have Satelitte P750 and Windows 7 home 64 bit.

The problem occurs after I put in hibernation for laptop. He wakes up without reason (exactly - I don't know why).
It can be dangerous posibly for my hard drive and data when he wakes up for example in the backpacking trip - I thought that when the laptop is in hibernation may not wake up without user action.

I looked through the logs of windows, and I think TOSHIBA service station looks suspicious...

    How to activate offf?

    Hello

Usually the laptop should not reactivate hibernation without pressing a power button, but there are a few options that could affect it.

    Please check the BIOS.
You can find called Wake LAN up or Wake up keyboard options
All of these options that might be responsible for this, you need to disable

  • y510p screen stays black after waking up from standby or hibernation

Seems that since the latest graphics drivers NVIDIA update (I'm not 100% sure on this subject, but I think that this is the case), my screen remains black at being woken up from sleep or hibernation. I know it's on, and what is not a matter of the computer is slow, because it is not and even if it were, leaving for several minutes and it remains empty and the power button and keyboard and everything comes on and it starts to heat up to the top, so I know it's something. Hit the FN - F2 for the backlight does nothing, so I don't think that is the question. The only way to solve it is to hold down the power button / stop and reboot, which pisses me off because sometimes I have a large upward job and am forced to lose. Anyone else see this problem? Could it be related to new graphics drivers, or is this something worse and related material? My screen looks OK when it comes to everything else.

    Thank you!

Well everyone, I think I 'solved' the problem. The latest NVIDIA drivers, I have installed the other day fixes the problem. I can sleep, hibernate, shut down, you call it without going through the screen lights up only not for the last day today. I can't say for sure, but I am sure that it was the matter of 99%. I appreciate the help nonetheless.
