I'm the reconstruction of a laptop Toshiba A100-PSAA9A-10U038 with a new installation of Windows XP Pro SP3.

Satellite L40 - 14N: no sound with Windows XP Pro downgraded

I just got my L40 - 14N slow Vista to XP, which went well, to a point.

All the drivers I used comes from the Toshiba web site, including the * "Realtek High Définition Audio Codecs R1.84" * it did not work. If I go into Device Manager all the yellow dots mark are now gone! But I have no sound and when I enter the control panel of configuration/sounds it is indicating "No. Audio Device.

He had the same problems or ideas would be great.

The problem is that you didn t install the patches from Microsoft XP.

Patches are needed for the operation. First you must install the KB888111 and KB835221 hotfix before you install the audio driver.

No sound, no new installation of Windows XP Pro SP3

We had to install Windows XP Pro on a laptop but the sound does not work. Device Manager displays the details as an "Audio on High Defeinition Bus device" Audio and show details such as HDAUDIO\FUNC_01 & VEN_1106 & DEV_1708 & SUBSYS_15580663 & REV_1007\5 & 2F010DBF & 0 & 0001

There is a yellow question mark against this material on other devices, Device Manager. The properties indicates it is present, but no drivers were installed with Code 28. Using the results of option to reinstall the drivers in thwe Wizard saying that it cannot install this hardware because the required software is not found by the wizrad!

I tried some drivers, such as those from Realtek, but with no result.

Any suggestion please?

No version of Windows already had a set of drivers included. There is too much material 'out there' for Microsoft to consider being completely comprehensive installation. Out of curiosity, what is the manufacturer of your PC? I've never heard of which did not provide for drivers.

I've upgraded to Windows 7 with a clean install. The sound card worked perfectly until 3 weeks ago. Now, the sound coming from the speakers is scratchy (whether during playback of an mp3 file, a video file or a cd/dvd playback). When you use headphones, the sound is perfect. The last audio Associates download was the Real Player Cloud software and the Quick Time Player. Windows has also several updates.

I uninstalled and reinstalled several times the Realtek sound driver. No solution

I made an installation on-site of Windows 8 Pro on my laptop HP G60-549dx. After you install any noise (Conexant). Driver latetest installed and when outages available. A clean install would cure the problem or Conexant Sound is not compatible. Thank you

don't know if you have already done the clean install, but was your time! Was there made, unsuccessfully, same... only microsoft or hp computer can solve this problem.

Thunderbird impossible sendmail on mail server yahoo after upgrading to Windows 7 Pro on an ASUS BP1AD PC. Tried 31.2 24.6 configured in IMAP & Thunderbird.

After recently upgrading to Windows 7 Pro on an ASUS BP1AD PC, I can receive emails but NOT send using the yahoo mail server. I am set up to use the IMAP protocol. Other e-mail servers/accounts do not have this problem. I get the error message right is an alert which States: "an error has occurred when sending mail. The mail server responded: unverified address - see http://help.yahoo.com/I/us/yahoo/mail/manage/sendfrom-07.html. Please make sure your e-mail address is correct in your mail preferences and try again"if my email in Thunderbird is good enough upward with i. sending messages. Is there something obvious that I'm missing?

did you actually check your mailing address in your web account to yahoo? That is to say had them send you a special courier to check that it actually works? Sounds stupid, but they made me do it years ago.

You should know that Microsoft has released two versions of Windows 8: common Windows 8 and Windows 8 Pro.

But this is not very important... The fact is that Win 8 was replaced by Win 8.1... so forget the thing Win 8 Pro...

Satellite 1620CDS - need Multimedia Audio Driver for Windows 2000 Pro

I recently had to reinstall my laptop Satellite 1620CDS with Windows 2000 Pro, but I can't locate the multimedia Audio device driver! and as such I have no sound.

Any advice on how I could find this driver, would be much appreciated...

Just FYI: your laptop has Crystal 4281 audio card. I hope you find the driver on the page given by the previous user. It is in the list.
