my computer says that I am not an administrator
I am trying to download itunes on my account and it tells me that I am not Admin so I don't have the power to do.
The quick check to see if you are an administrator is to click on the button 'start '.
If one of the choices that is displayed in the pop-up window is "Open All Users", then you are an administrator.
The more rigorous method is to open a window prompt (start-> Run-> "cmd") and then enter the following command in this window:
net localgroup administrators
This will give you a list of all the users on your machine that are administrators.

User - recommended configuration (Vista and Win7) accounts
You absolutely don't want to have only one user account. As XP and all other Windows 7, Vista, and modern operating systems are operating systems multi-user with integrated system of accounts as default Administrator and comments. These accounts should be left alone because they are part of the structure of the operating system.
In particular, you do not want account only one user with administrator privileges on Vista and Windows 7 because the administrator account integrated (normally only used in emergencies) is disabled by default. If you use as an administrator for your daily work, and this account is corrupt, things will be difficult. It is not impossible to activate the built-in administrator to rescue things, but it may require more work you want to do. Better not to get into a bad situation at first.
The user account that is for your daily work must be a Standard user, with the extra administrative user (call it something like 'CompAdmin' or 'Tech' or similar) only it for elevation purposes. As a user Standard is recommended for security reasons and will help protect your computer against infections. After you have created "CompAdmin", connect to it and change your normal user account Standard. Then log on to your regular account.
If you want to go directly to the desktop and ignore the Welcome screen with the icons of the user accounts, you can do this:
Start Orb > Search box > type: netplwiz [Enter]
Click continue (or provide an administrator password) when you are prompted by UACUncheck "users must enter a user name and password to use this computer". Select a user account to connect automatically by clicking on the account you want to highlight and press OK. Enter the password for this user account (when it exists) when you are prompted. Leave blank if there is no password (null). MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

I'm starting to load sp 3 and she's going through the installation but, by the end, a box appears that says that I'm not allowed and see my administrator. It is a single computer; I sign as administrator (I even tried signature the administrator mode without failure). SP 2 has been installed without any problems. How can I solve this problem to install SP 3?
I read somewhere that if this computer was used as a test for SP3 Beta site, it could be causes of the problem. Does anyone know if this is true, and if so, how can I know if my computer has been used for the test. I have no notes, but there is something in the back of my mind that says that several years ago, I sign up as a beta Test site.
Hello
1. have you downloaded the beta of Windows XP SP3 and installed version on the system?

Cannot delete programs. Windows 7 says that I am not an administrator.
I'm trying to delete a program in my laptop. I am the only user of this laptop and its sole owner. I get an error message that says that I can not remove the program because I am not an administrator. It is doubly annoying because I'm unable to install a similar program that I really need to use because I can't remove this program (i.e., I can't install program verizon wireless because I can't uninstall Cricket).
I have no need of several user accounts (more a user account account administrator) and will not be set up anything like that, no matter what Microsoft is necessary. With my current setup, which is ONLY AN account with my name (and apparently not an 'administrator' account, whatever that means) how can I remove programs I didn't need?

I can't print to our hp officejet printer range 4630. The printer says that it is connected to our home wireless network. However, he said that it is inactive or not connected to the network on my mac. The only way it will print sometimes is if I switch to a wireless network that is named the same as the printer. AirPrint does not work. We have a Linksys router. Not sure if this is the problem or not. I ran all kinds of diagnostic impressions on the printer and all say that it is connected. I also tried to put the ip address into my web browser and it does not find the printer when it is connected to our home network. Help, please!
Thanks for trying my earlier recommendations. In my view, the problem you are experiencing may be with your wireless router. Normally, I would have you make sure that it is configured correctly, but you cannot access the built-in Web server.
I want to try to set a static IP address, so we can try to get in the EWS. Please continue here: printer does not maintain the wireless connection
A little luck? If you were able to set a static IP address, please try and access the built-in Web server. Follow the steps below:
1. open EWS (use my earlier recommendations) printers
2. go to the Network tab
3. network protocols
4. Select enable IPv4 ONLY
Now with IPv4 enabled, you should be able to print wireless.
If this isn't the case, you will need your router company to make sure that the multicast is enabled, Hello Protocol is enabled, mac filtering is disabled and ask them to check if there are updates the firmware for the router and the router's firewall check to make sure that it does not obstruct the communication

Hello
From Vista, a normal Administrator role has changed.
Administrator accounts run as standard user accounts. When you select an action that requires administrator privileges, you should see a UAC (User Account Control) window asking if you want to raise this action with your administrator privileges. Simply click continue on the popup and action should should run as administrator.
Alternatively, an object a right-click and select the run as Administrator option.
What are user account control settings?
I hope this helps.
Thank you for using Windows 7

Windows 7 - says that I am not connected to the internet when I am.
Original title: why
Why my computer says that I am not connected to the internet when I am and no web pages don't show because they say that I'm not connected
You have McAfee? McAfee has been updated at the same time as the last batch of updates from Windows 7 and this is the cause of problems of internet connection for most, if not all, users of McAfee.
See the communication from this "criticism" - McAfee
You should make the fix McAfee, if necessary. There are corresponding communications for their enterprise products.

I have a new Toshiba C650 laptop, and he says that I can not read the dvd on it except that I have installed a new driver. Is this true?
Hi Bill,
To be honest, this sounds ridiculous but if you get a message, I suppose it could be possible even if I find it incredible. Do you have it in a (local or online) retail store or Toshiba? By any chance did you upgrade from the DVD player when buying (where they may have accidentally neglected to update the drivers of the drive that was originally installed)?
As it is new, Toshiba should help you with this. Here's the contact page: http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/support/jsp/navShell.jsp?cf=su_contact&pf=true. Give them everything they need to prove that buy you it and it should be under warranty and then give them the message Word for Word, that you have found. They should be able to help you. They can, for some reason I don't know, you don't need to help or guide you through a new driver installation. I ask for a clear explanation of why this is necessary on a new computer and, if you are not satisfied with the response, ask them to consider that all the faulty computer and replace it. Even if they won't, he needs the get them less motivated to solve your problem.
I hope this helps.
Good luck!
