  • No sound in my Satellite P100 after sleep mode in Vista

For 2 weeks I have no sound in my notebook.
Description of the laptop: Satellite P100, Vista Home Premium, Intel Centrino Duo 1, 73Ghz, 3 GB of memory. audio device: Conexant HDaudio2.

The sound has been disabled after I guess, an automatic update.

    I reinstalled Vista. No effect.

There is no sound after each start up or when the computer wakes from standby/hibernation. To activate it, I have to go into DeviceManager, SystemDevices and disable the HD Audio Controller, and then turn it back on.

  • No sound on hp pavilion dv6244ea

Hi, yesterday the sound of my notebook suddenly disappeared. I upgraded the operating system Windows 7 ultimate a year ago (before I used windows vista) and everything went well until yesterday. I tried to uninstall the drivers for conexant high definition audio, replacing them with the vista ones (that I found for download drivers'page hp), because I read that windows 7 can run without the same audio drivers for vista, but no results.

When I try to update driver in the audio controller Panel it says that the driver is already up to date.

    It's p/n: GB194EA #ABZ

and here is the hardware of the device id:

    HDAUDIO\FUNC_01 & VEN_14F1 & DEV_5045 & SUBSYS_103C30BB

I also tried to fix with windows troubleshooting but no results, he says he can't identify the problem...

    can someone help me please?

    Thank you very much.

    You are quite welcome.

The only solution would be to replace the motherboard. You can find her using an adapter usb audio. An adaper usb audio is a much cheaper solution than to have the motherboard replaced.

  • Satellite L555-17F: noise all while listening to music

    Good afternoon.

The other day and first day found problems with the sound, I bought NoteBook L555-17F. While listening to the music, with speakers or headphones, the noise occurs (it is understood as an interference on the TV) for a few seconds, it is still quite often, as I understand it maybe it's in the sound card...

Updated PS drivers the most recent of the Toshiba site.

As wrote Akuma, test it with or without adapter. If the noise disappeared when the AC adapter is not connected, contact your local reseller or Toshiba service directly and ask for help. Maybe Toshiba service can send you new power adapter.

The realteck controller does not show me almost any configuration option, is this normal?

Mate sorry but the message isn't clear enough.
What do you exactly do with Notepad and the speakers?
You speak of internal or external stakeholders?

The sound of s notebook (record and playback) can be configured in the control panel? sound. There, you will find the Read tab (lists all the devices as speakers, headphones) and tab (internal microphone, external microphone) record.

You must mark the device as default device, if you want to use.

Question: In the past months, my sound will go off randomly automatically.  If I close the lid and let the computer in to sleep mode or if I restart the computer, the sound comes back.  When the sound disappeared, the volume buttons on the keyboard, so to work with a lag and the mute on the keyboard does not work.  Try to use the sound test, or even navigate the tabs in the Properties section of speaker to accuse also considerably by the sound does not work.

I noticed other things: I was watching a youtube video when the sound came out, I left the chrome tab that I used for the video and the sound comes back a few seconds later.  He then disappeared a few seconds after I opened a new tab and returned to watch the video.  I had also the same thing happens with the help of a video editing software - quit the application, sound came back, returned to the software, sound went out after a few seconds.  I also had both sound back after going to the speaker properties - Advanced tab and switch format, by selecting the test button and clicking on OK when a message saying "the sound system is in use, taking the test can cause the application to fail" (or something similar).

I tried to use various utilities for troubleshooting when the problem occurs - the find and troubleshooting audio fix is no problem AND the device is listed as working properly in Device Manager.  I've uninstalled and reinstalled the latest drivers for the IDT HD Audio CODEC several times - no help.  In addition, the problem has been resolved not when I converted briefly to Windows (back to windows 8.1) 10.  In addition, I tried to use the other pilot of "High definition Audio Device" in place and place of the IDT CODEC, but the same problem happened - sound turns off randomly until I rebooted or put my computer to sleep.

I'm pretty computer - savy but I can't seem to understand what the problem is.  It doesn't seem to be a hardware problem or the sound would probably not come back so quickly or clearly as it does...

One last piece of information: I noticed that the first time that I reinstalled the Windows audio 24/06/2015 - and also several updates were installed on the 23 & 24 June - watching these updates to see if they are the cause of the problem.

My father had a speaker bluetooth for Christmas - I tried it out on my computer because it works completely independently of my sound card and it was working fine.

I bought one of my own for $30 at target - Jam Classic Wireless Speaker - and now I have wonderful sound.

Does not resolve the issue of the root, but the problem is solved!

I'm just upset that HP gave me the such a card its crappy that it only lasted 1 1/2 years before give me questions, just long enough to ensure that the warranty expires...

    Hi aminulbd.

I did research on this issue and not all audio drivers drivers will have the opportunity of development of microphone. Actually, I found another thread in the HP Support Forums where someone had a similar problem where uninstall and reinstallation of the drivers worked. I found the driver for your computer do not know if it is the same as that which had tied you as the link didn't work properly for me. • No sound HP G62 - 373DX Notebook PC

I don't know what happened, but a few days ago, I noticed that I had no sound on my HP laptop.  I went through all the suggestions starting with his troubleshooting trouble shooter program.  I restored the system to a previous state that has not helped.  I uninstalled the driver and reinstalled the driver and did not help.  My system is showing its is ok but when clicking > Control Panel > sound > Speakers > configure > test - I get the error! Impossible to play the test tone.

REALLY? REINSTALL WINDOWS HAS BEEN YOUR BEST ANSWER?

I have not received any REAL help can in HP, just the no brainer of stuff I checked immediately.  AND troubleshooting are a waste of time.   I have been using computers since 1984 and Windows since the year 2000.

I was in fact checking a different to answers.microsft.com problem when I ran this tool of the SFC system file error. EXE.  When I restarted I got my sound back.

  • HP ENVY notebook - m7-k111dx w beats audio sound up and down on its own

I know there posted solutions, but my problem is a little different though. My sound is flunctuate only when I looked at Amazon prime (perhaps other streaming websites too, but it's the one I use), so I followed a solution posted on a thread here, where I went to the Manager device and under the sound, I replaced a driver of speakers by another, who was already on my computer. The thing is that now the volume and the overall sound quality is way worse and I can't seem to find a way to get back to it... Can someone please. Thank you!!
