No update sound after BIOS on HP Pavilion Notebook g6

Hello

When I booted up my HP Pavilion Notebook g6 today he says that there is an update of the BIOS necessary. I upgraded F.34 (at least that is what it is under my profile), it restarted and all is well. Then I noticed that it had no noise at all. I checked everything, fait made sure that my drivers are up to date, ran troubleshooting and still nothing.

Windows detects the sound being played, but nothing comes out of my speakers. I also tried to use headphones and not had much luck.

My # is LM837AV product.

Thank you.

I solved it.

The Solution was a hard stop.

  • Microsoft Office Starter missing after restoring on HP Pavilion Notebook g6

Hello. I recently restored, using the recovery partition HP and not the KNOW-HOW of recovery (5 discs) media, which were provided by the KNOW-HOW. I noticed that several software, were not restored. Adobe Reader and Skype to name a few. I downloaded these from their Web sites. However, how to recover, or reinstall Microsoft Office Starter? I downloaded and installed OpenOffice, however I use several models of Microsoft Office for documents and spreadsheets. I have a Packard Bell laptop and an Acer netbook and Microsoft Office Starter is normally stored in it's own partition (click to run), for recovery. Matt.

  • Satellite M100 - no speakers sound thorugh after BIOS update

    Hi all

I have satelite M100 PSMAAA-02006 with XP. I just updated the Bios on V3.0. Speakers do not work after update but the audio jack works so with headphones I can listen to but not through Laptop speakers and the keys to media on top of keyboard play, pause, stop, next, back, etc. homepage react too much.

Someone knows the solution to this issue. Or is it possible to get the old BIOS? Although I not sure aboutt previous version.

need quick help. Please answer as soon as possible.

    Thanks & best regards...

    Hi Julie,.

I doubt that this was due the update of the BIOS. Is that what you have loaded default settings after updating the BIOS?
Have you chosen the correct BIOS update?

Normally you can hear the sound on the speakers laptop if you disconnect the headset. Make sure that the sound is not muted, you can do this with the FN + ESC key combination.

About the multimedia keys, I would recommend reinstallation of Toshiba common Modules. You can find it on the Toshiba site.

What can I do to get her back?

    Hello

    Try the following.

Download IDT Audio Installer on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp59501-60000/sp59620.exe

One time finished, open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the IDT device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.

When you are finished, turn off the laptop by pressing the SHIFT key when you click farm to temporarily prevent a hybrid boot.

When the laptop stopped, disconnect the power adapter and remove the battery.  Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds.  Reinsert the battery and plug in the AC adapter.

Robinet tap away at the key esc that you start the computer to launch the Start Menu, and then select f10 to open the bios menu.  Press f5 to load the default values (sometimes it's f9, but the menu below indicates the correct key), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press ENTER.  Press f10 to save the setting and still use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press on enter.

Allow Windows to fully - charge it will automatically load an audio driver, but let just this complete.  Then open your download folder, right-click on the IDT Installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  Once this done, do a right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select playback devices.  'Speakers and headphones' left click once to highlight, and then click the Set Default button - check if you now audio.

    Kind regards

  • Pavilion dv6-1050us battery charge but not showing as connected after bios update

I have a Pavilion dv6-1050us, and before the update of the bios as recommended by HP my charger would show in the taskbar as well as the battery is charging and it has been plugged in as well as the led at the front left side of the laptop.  Since the update of the bios load icon in the taskbar does not display and the led light that recharges the battery watch is no longer turns upward.  I know it's power goes to the battery because the battery shows 100% remaining and unload only after I unplug the power.  Is there a way to restore the bios to the previous version, even if the bios has been flashed by the HP program uses?

My antivirus program will not scan weekly it is when the system thinks it is running on battery power.  I have to manually start the scan myself.

    Hi @ sokw,

I have read and reviewed the post. Thanks for your reply. It seems that bios is damaged, and that is why the computer does not start. As it cannot be fixed by any software troubleshooting, you will need to contact the HP support by phone for the machine.

HP technical support are available by clicking on the following link:

    http://h22207.www2.HP.com/us-en/?openCLC=true

    (1) once the page opens, please select the country in which you are located. Then enter your model of HP on the right number.

    (2) then choose "Contact the Support" tab at the top and scroll to the bottom of the page "HP Support - contact" to fill out the form with your details.

    (3) Once finished, click the "Show Options" at the bottom right.

    (4) Finally, scroll to the bottom of the page and select "Get a phone number." A file number and telephone number will now fill for you.

I hope this helps. I would like to know how this happens. I really hope that the problem is solved without hassle and the unit works very well. Believe me, I've done everything I can to help by keeping your interests in mind. Please reach out for questions and I'll be there for you help.

CANNOT CONTROL THE SCROLLING. CURSOR DOWN TO THE LOW WHAT MAKES IMPOSSIBLE TO SAVE TO A FOLDER

    Hi @STICKMAN5124,

Nice day! Thank you for your participation in the Forums of HP Support! It is a great location to get resolutions and interact with experts from the community. It will be a pleasure to help you.

I saw the post and understand that after only a bios updated cursor drops down due to a problem of scrolling.

Impressive work, do the update of the bios. Kudos to you for this. It is a privilege to work with tech-savvy and technically competent customers like you and we greatly appreciate your business with HP. You have been great to work with.

Please check in F2 diagnostics if the scrollbar works correctly. If Yes, then you can update the chipset drivers and http://hp.com/drivers touchpad drivers you can also consult with a mouse external further isolate the issue.

You can also run diagnostics on the touchpad from this link by going to the UEFI F2 diagnostics: http://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c03467259 please run the complete components. If any component fails, please note the failure code. This is done to determine if the problem is hardware or software partners.

If it passes and scrolling works very well, please perform these updates. If you are still having the same problem on page F2 UEFI (screen) then you could roll back bios after performing a hard reset. Link for the hard reset: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01684768

    • Please perform this step to roll back bios.  Hold down the "Windows" key and the letter "B" at the same time, then press the power also button for about 5 seconds at the same time.

I hope this helps. I would like to know how this happens. I hope the problem is solved without hassle and the unit works very well.

Now I try to turn off the wireless using this button it will not respond (light orange).

I checked the Device Manager, there seems to be a problem with the driver.

IF you have knowledge of this problem please let me know.

    Thank you

    Hello:

The update of the BIOS should affect the driver wireless button.

I would recommend that you reinstall as the unknown device is probably the one.

  • Qosmio F30-111: no sound after the update of the 3.40 BIOS & Vista installation

    Hello!

I have a Qosmio F30-111, originally with Windows MCE and all devices works fine, but I made an update of firmware BIOS to 3.40 (before was a version 1.x).

Later, I installed Windows Vista Ultimate and all devices has been recognized very well (with Toshiba Vista drivers), but the sound was not working!
    The situation was:
    -The sound device has been recognized;
    -The MIC works (but I can't hear it);
    -The speakers do not work!<- the="" real="">

Now I installed the recovery CD and I'm new to Windows MCE, but noise have the same problem... is recognized, but the speakers do not work.
I have no idea what to do... I don't know if it is possible to restore the firmware (I think that was the problem).

Don't forget: the audio device works, the works of Media Player, but I can't hear the sound (Yes, the volume is high and is not dumb)

    Sorry for my bad English,
    Thank you very much!

    Murilo

    Hello Md2

You can hear the noise if you plug headphones into the audio?

If there is his helmet and then the audio device works well.

If not, then disconnect all devices external usb and start a clean installation of vista (not upgrade, but booting from the vista cd)

don't forget to put the RAID driver on cd or diskette or usb flash key before doing the clean install of vista.

  • Pavilion dv6700: loss of power after BIOS update

    Hello

I own a Pavilion dv6700 (fairly old I know) that I was getting a message in windows that wouldn't be not the battery, even if the power was good. So I decided to make an update of the BIOS of F.45 to F.58A. Updating, during the countdown final 10 sec until you restart the laptop, the computer has lost its power and close.

GO then I am unable to power on my laptop... None of the techniques described on the forum seems to help me... I disconnected the battery, I had checked the charger, I checked it using a voltmeter, I plugged in a different bracket, I did a hard reset, I tried to start using the Win + B / the combination Fn + B, but nothing happened. I see no led turinng on!

Is there anything else I can do?

    Thanks in advance,

This looks like the end of the road for your laptop unless you are ready to invest in alternatives.

You can have the replaced systemboard. The cost of a motherboard and the man hours to replace the current value of the laptop, on the other hand that would make a bad investment in my book.

  • HP Pavilion Notebook - 15-p204: UPDATE of HP SUPPORT ASSISTANT HP BIOS update for Intel processor (F43) - SHOWING AGAIN

    Hello

I am new to the community of HP.

I'm having a problem. Well, I can't really say it is a MAJOR problem because there is no threat to the system or anything, it's just one of those little annoying things.

Yesterday, I updated my BIOS F.43 after being invited by HP support assistant. Update succeeded, charged back up the laptop, and the watch update STILL not installed on the HP support assistant. I reinstalled it and it still shows the same thing.

It's just a bug and it is really installed and the wizard of support has not been updated?

    Thank you

    Hi @GarethWilliamss,

Thanks for posting in the Forums of HP and welcome.

I read on the HP Support Assistant and prompt you to download on your HP Pavilion Notebook 15 - p204. As you can imagine this is a glitch. Ignore the update.

    I hope this helps.

Please let me know if this help solve the problem by marking this post as accept as a Solution.

    Thank you.

  • Satellite P200-16V - password required after BIOS update

    Hello!

Recently I have updated my Bios because I had problems to install drivers after reinstalling vista. I read on this forum that the update of the bios was the solution, but when I updated my bios, I got in the big sleep problems. When I start my computer a password is required. Never set up a password and I don't know where to find it.

I'm the original owner of my laptop, so I do not know whence this password came.

To me it seems very strange also. I never heard that the BIOS password appears automatically without any modification at the beginning.
But this is not the point. The point is to know how to get rid of this password.

Sylvain said that the ASP guy can remove it. A sound is able to do. Then contact the ASP in your country for assistance!
