No sound through HDMI to TV

I know there are a lot of post on this issue, but nothing works for me.  I have a Pavilion dv5 - 1233se running windows 7 64 bit.  I uninstalled the drivers both graphics and chip and reinstalled (warning says that I was installing was older than the one I had).  Maybe I'm not find the correct drivers to install.  I fought this issue for a long time, any help would be great.

Graphics card: Mobile Intel (r) 4 series express chipset family

Audio, video and game controllers: IDT high definition audio codec and Intel(r) high definition audio hdmi

I've never seen the HDMI Audio necessary I think I need.

Thanks for any help.

It worked!  I just uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers (same two I did last week) and for some reason, it worked this time!

    Hello

I have a problem, because I had a virus on my laptop, I had to reinstall windows 10. Everything is working again except when I plug in my hdmi cable it does not recognize the hdmi audio output. If I look at my audio devices it says: digital audio (HDMI) not connected. I tried to put my card video/audiodrivers/all drivers to day/re-installing what I think of cound, but nothing works. Prior to the re - install everything worked fine, so I think it's a software problem, I just don't know what it is. Can someone help me?

    Evan

    You are the very welcome.

OK, you should be able to solve this problem quite easily.

Because HP does not officially support your laptop for W10, but graphics driver W10 works, let's add the HDMI audio driver from the file of graphics driver for W7 on your laptop support page, without messing with the display of work W10 driver.

First of all, download and install this free utility for files.  The 2nd high page file is 64-bit.

    http://www.7-zip.org/

After installing 7 - Zip, download and save but are not run this file from W7 graphics driver.

This package provides the graphics driver Intel high definition (HD) with Turbo Boost technology for the notebook models and operating systems.

    FTP://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp64001-64500/sp64360.exe

Now that you have downloaded and saved the graphic driver file, right-click on it and select 7 - Zip from the list of options.

Have 7-Zip extract of: and leave it to extract the driver file in its file name of the file (sp64360).

Once this is done, go to the Device Manager and click on the peripheral plain high-definition audio (not the IDT one).

Click on the driver tab, click on set to update driver.

Select her browse my computer for driver software option and navigate to the driver 7-Zip created folder.

Make sure that the include subfolders is enabled, and must install the audio driver.

Restart the PC, and you should now have the video and audio via the HDMI out port.

  • Satellite R630 - no sound via HDMI

    Hello

I can't find a way to get the sound through HDMI on my R630. I tried the audio properties in the Control Panel, but there is no option to set the audio by default to HDMI device as there was on my old machine.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you
    Mark

    Hey Buddy,

I had the same problem but the solution is quiet easy: you must set HDMI as output by default sound settings in Windows.

Simply check this section of the FAQ from Toshiba, in my case it worked:

Audio over HDMI works perfectly on old TV and nothing else on the system has changed. The xbox, which is also connected to the new TV works fine. I tried the HDMI cable from the Xbox with the tv and tried on the two hdmi ports on the TV with the same result, big no picture no sound.

Someone else had this problem? Can someone give me advice on how to solve it?

Sorry mate, but I guess that this issue has nothing to do with the Toshiba TV but your PC settings.
Usually, you have to choose the HDMI (or digital) in the settings of your PC.
Panel of-> sound-> the Read tab

Here you will see all available devices. In order to get the sound through HDMI out you must choose this device as default.

  • Qosmio X 70-A-12 X - no sound through the HDMI connection

    Qosmio X 70-A-12 X - Windows 7

I have tried everything regarding this issue, lost 12 hours of research and asking everyone... I hope that you will give me the answer. I tried to install the drivers for different processor, Intel based, each time nothing, I have a controller, video, audio and Conexant smartaudio HD game.

I also tried letting windows install their own driver. Windows Media Monitor... I have this case HDMI is shown but gray color, as there is nothing plugged. When I click Properties it says that everything is ok and active... so thank you for reading this. If you know another way to activate the sound via HDMI, I would be very grateful.

PS - I picture on HDMI, but no sound.

    Thank you!!! :)

    Hello

I checked the Toshiba download page and I can see your Qosmio machine is supported for Win7 64 bit and I think that you are using this version.
I see ago offered all the important factors like driver chipset driver driver sound or display, so I hope everything works out well and there is no reason for experiences drivers.

I would like to know if there is a problem when you use your machine without connect anything to it? is everything is OK with the material? You hear the sound on the internal speakers or headphones?

To your HDMI issue: can you please explain what you are trying to do exactly?
Are you trying to use your Qosmio with TV or what? When you open the properties of the sound > playback devices have tried to activate the listed device output digital (HDMI) and set its default value?

    By the way:
Click on the volume icon in the taskbar and click mixer.
Digital output is listed here? Check it out in the operative part of the option. Make sure that is not set to mute.

Play a little with all these settings to make sure that everything is OK.

  • No sound on HDMI, image works fine but in the sound Manager tells me not connected HDMI

    Hello

I have a 1050ez tm2 and having problems with my HDMI port.

When I connect the screen gets automatically duplicated and everything works fine, but when I try to play a movie with vlc for example I get not all sound through the TV, only on the tablet.

Of course, I went into the sound Manager, because I suspected that you specify the tm2 where to play the sound, but to my surpise, he said that the HDMI cable is not connected?

I was able to make any changes to the default output device...

Even in the IDT application wants to tell me that the HDMI cable is not connected. I have plugged in and out several times without success.

I hope someone can help me on what precedes, I already searched the net for several hours but havn't seen a similar problem, the more problems it shows as connected cable...

    Thanks in advance!

I wanted to just let know you it worked!

  • Acer Aspire R7-572-6423. no sound with HDMI

    Hello

I am running Windows 8.1 64-bit on the R7.  I got the laptop connected to a receiver and the receiver connected to a TV.  I am able to see my desktop on the TV but I have not any sound through the receiver.  When I look at the reading devices

    Digital audio (HDMI)

    Audio device high definition

    Not plugged

I know it is connected because I see my screen on my TV.

This laptop can send audio via the HDMI connection?

Thanks for any help anyone can give me on this!

    Thanks for the quick response!

I couldn't select it as default value (it is grayed out).

In fact, I saw a few other posts on updating to the latest drivers Intel 4400, so I just tried.

I installed the 15.33.18.64.3496 version file named win64_153318 on the Intel Web site and that seemed to do the trick!

If I go into device under graphics cards Manager I have an entry of Intel(r) HD Graphics Family that tells me that the driver date is 11/03/2014 and version is 10.18.10.3496.

In any case, I am able to define as device by default now and checked the reading through my receiver (and other areas connected to it) that was exactly what I wanted, so I'm all set.

    Thanks again!

  • RECEIVES SOUND THROUGH LG 42 INCH TV WITHOUT PC SPEAKERS IS CONNECTED.

I hooked my home edition of windows vista to my lg 42 inch tv. Also, my husband is gone & had a connection, allowing the sound to play through the TV speakers. It also disconnected pc to use on another pc, speakers & now will not play sound through tv? What can I do to make the TV speakers work?

    Hello katturby,

    ·         How you have connected the TV to your laptop?

    ·         Your laptop has an HDMI output on your computer?

The laptop can carry video and sound via a cable only if the laptop has HDMI output. If you do not have a HDMI/DVI connector on the back of your computer, then you need to use the connectors VGA composite or s-video to view the output of your PC to an external monitor as an LCD TV.

If you have an exit without HDMI on your laptop, then you will need get the audio output using the audio of your laptop Jack, as you have connected the speakers.

If you have connected your laptop using an HDMI cable, check if the HDMI output is active from playback devices.

    1. click on start, type Sound in the box to start the search.

    2. click on sound in the results of search at the top of the start menu.

    3. click on the Read tab.

    4. on the tab 'Read' it has listed the sound options at your disposal. It should read "peripheral digital output (HDMI)" click on it.

    5. it should now check this option box.

    6. the sound should play through your HDMI connections to the TV.
