Non-genuine message

My son got a Dell Win 7 64-bit family. All will work perfectly for several months, until last week we had a storm (rain and wind only). When starting, there was a short cut and a restart is required. After that he began to receive a "non-genuine copy" enter the code from the sticker on the computer returns an "invalid code". How can it be resolved easily?

Have you tried to restart by phone?

Just as I suspected. The key of product in use is the infamous key on the black list of Lenovo. This key has been blacklisted before Windows 7 came out and has never been sold.

  • Non-genuine message of fake software

I upgraded from office of my wife from a normal HARD drive to an SSD drive cloning. The original software was an OEM installed Vista I had upgraded to Windows 7 Home Premium with service pack 1 and had run quite happily without any problems (it was a pack of three machine upgrade that always works well on the other two machines perfctly.).  Since that time immediately after startup, a message is flashed by informing that software is not genuine. I entered the product key, but that has not solved the problem.

I really don't want to have to re - install windows from scratch, because it means re - install all the programs as well. What can I do?

  • Receive non-genuine messages

    Separated from this thread.

My Windows is genuine and activated, and I always get a pop-up forces me to get genuine windows. When I try to install windows directly from the windows site, it tells me that I am already running genuine windows, therefore, it is my opinion, the right hand does not know what the left. However, windows has revealed that would fix my computer for $109 .00CDN, but yet, 360 of Norton antivirus and Norton Power Eraser, tells me my computer is clean and no malicious software found. Is it a SCVAM or what?

Norton 360 is owned and developed by Symantec.

Windows is owned and developed by Microsoft Corporation.

    Two very different companies.

The only thing they have in common is the current use of the Microsoft Chairman to be the Chief Executive Officer of Symantec years.

  • Message "Non-genuine Windows" & Windows Update does not work after replacing the RAM.

    Hello

I have a PC desktop HPE-170 a current running Windows 7 Home Premium SP1, which has been installed on the machine by the store where I bought it. It has been properly activated and has worked very well for 18 months or more.

The other day it decided to not start and a computer savvy friend corrected the problem by removing the RAM memory cards, clean the gold plated connectors and re - insert the. This fixes the problem and it started again.

Today I received a message on the computer of Microsoft saying "your copy of Windows is not genuine" and he invited me to "solve online. Well, click on the 'My Computer' icon showed me that windows was still active.

By clicking on the "solve Online" link took me to a validation page, where after she tried to validation, it says "The Validation failed" and advised me to buy another copy of Windows 7 HP for AUD $149. Gee, thanks, but no thanks Microsoft. I clicked on cancel and the non-genuine message has not yet reappeared.

I also found now that Windows Update doesn't work that way.

I rang MS that says that I need the Windows 7 Setup disk. When I said that I don't have one, they advised me to ring HP. I didn't have time to complete the phone call from HP, but I believe that HP wants me to reset the system to factory with them State guide me by phone.

I have a genuine copy of Windows, a product key, and it shows as activated.  From what I understand the system think that I tried to put my copy of Windows 7 on a new computer or similar? I'm not sure.

Is it really difficult to get the system works just like before?

    Thanks for the reply.

I'm afraid I don't understand your instructions. I think that you are a fair way waiting for me in the issues of tech savvy.

I think I have stumbled upon something here; http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c02219204

Download and update this driver seemed to do Windows Update includes itself.

I can now go here; realwww.microsoft.com/ /validate/ and he says: "Welcome to Windows".

I hope I now get no more fake messages on my OS Windows is non-genuine.

    I'll see what happens tomorrow.

Last update 18/7: seems to be fixed, no more problems.

    Hi Carolina,.

Was it a Dell engineer who has reinstalled Windows for you?

In any case, if this is a Dell machine, there will be that a license key joined the PC somewhere, usually on the back, but if it's a laptop, it'll be below.

  • SSD upgrade and now get "non-genuine windows" message at the bottom on the right.

I had Win7 successfully running for a month and chose to upgrade my SSD to a more capacious.  Use of Norton Ghost, I copied (cloned) system on the new drive.  After off, reset the player to the new SSD in BIOS and reboot, all I get is a clear blue screen with the «...» Windows is not genuine"message in the lower right corner of the screen.  I stopped, restarted and reset the original boot drive in BIOS, and now the drive gives me the same message.  So I have no Win7 working more.  Thank God I still have my old XP running.

    Any ideas or advice?

I've erased successfully to the top of my problem using the system restore.  I discovered an image file system intact and recent on my network which I copied on a USB key and the following restoration that everything is now works as before, and Windows is once more authentic.

Thank you all for the suggestions.

I have Windows 7 Home premium with SP1.

I downloaded the software referenced by George1009 and he ran; This is the sequel.  But I don't understand.   Any suggestions?

  • "Not genuine" message after MB BIOS and CPU change

Yesterday, I installed a new processor to my PC running Windows 7 Pro 64 bit. I also installed a new BIOS for my motherboard to support the new processor.

When I restarted Windows 7 displays a message 'not active' and gave me a link to reactivate.

After I tried to turn it back on, I got this error code: 0x80072F8F. Then my wallpaper turned black with white text "non-genuine Windows" in the lower right corner of reading.

    What should I do now?

Have you tried to restart by phone?

How to activate Windows 7 manually (activate by phone)

    1) click Start and in the search for box type: slui.exe 4

    (2) press the ENTER"" key.

    (3) select your "country" in the list.

    (4) choose the option "activate phone".

    (5) stay on the phone (do not select/press all options) and wait for a person to help you with the activation.

    (6) explain your problem clearly to the support person.
