NOR-FBUS Configurator 4.1.0.49152 + USB-8486: High-delay between consecutive writing actions

Hello

Imagine a case where you have a block (transducer) at least about 12 parameters that both read and write access:

PARAMETER_1

PARAMETRE_2

PARAMETRE_3

...

PARAMETER_12

PARAMETER_13

....

When editing two of these parameters which do not "resident in the district close" (like parameter_1 and PARAMETER_12) and then write them down via "Write the changes" in the block discovers that I observe, that there is a delay between the write access for the first and the second parameter (up to a few seconds).

Since I am a developer device I can see it when debugging on the device.

Can this delay be avoided?

Concerning

Mike

Hi Mike,.

1. try to uncheck the 'Update period' in the upper left conner of the view of the block. It is possible that this caused a conflict with your read/write action.

2. what type of device that you are experiencing this issue with you use? Have try you on other devices? Just in case the extra long delay was caused by the device.

  • Support for alarms diagnosis field according to FF - 912 with NOR-FBUS Configurator 3.2.3

I tried to control the utility alarm monitor and diagnosis field according to FF-912 alarms since a FF camera H1 with NOR-FBUS Configurator 3.2.3.

Alarms standard block for example in the case of a change of parameter are monitored in the alarm monitor.

Field diagnosis according to FF - 912 alarms are not controlled.

Are field alarms diagnosis according to FF - 912 took supported by the NOR-FBUS 3.2.3 Configurator. or something special to do to activate the analysis.

If not, what tools or host systems are available for monitoring these alarms?

Alarm in the software OR-FBUS monitor doesn't have a field of diagnostics alarms. You can try to use NOR-FBUS C API nifWaitAlert2 to monitor this alarm. We will find the detailed description of the API OR FBUS Hardware and Software User Manual Chapter 6.

  • NOR-FBUS basic device option is no longer available to address visitor

In the version 3.2.1 of NOR-FBUS Communications Manager, it is possible to configure it to use the address of device = visitor and device Type = Basic (in the NOR-FBUS Interface Configuration Utility). This combination is useful when connecting to a segment that is already controlled by a host (acting as LAS) system.

In the NOR-FBUS Communications Manager 4.x version combining visitor and base unit is no longer available. You can select only visitor + LAS.

Why this combination is no longer available? It's always OK to use visitor + LAS when there is already a different LAS segment?

    Thank you!

Yes. Regardless of the 3.0 or 4.0, the results are the same for vistor + LinkMaster configuration.

  • ERRORDSNF on all the resources NOR-FBUS 3.1.1 blocks.

Does anyone have experience with the ERRORDSNF on all blocks of resources on a network?

I'm trying to connect a new device to an existing network, but it won't let me download

I'm new to Fieldbus Foundation and we have NEITHER-FBUS 3.1.1 with devices of liaison 1788-CN2FF Allen - Bradley.

The values in the PLC program are changing, so I know that communicate the devices on the network.

    Hi GCobb,

    Edit:

Please refer to the post herefirst.

And try these newer files in the attachment to this post.

    --------------------------------

Only the new device you connected on the network has this issue, or all devices have this issue when the new device is connected? I mean if you can refine the device which has caused this problem and separate and then check what was wrong with the device, or PLC programming or whatever it is.

Regarding the diagnosis, the diagnosis to a tab helps block.

Regarding the error message, the fcs.pdf that comes along OR FBUS installation has a chapter entitled: Messages of error and warnings that explains OR-FBUS Configurator error messages.

  • NEITHER Fbus Configurator and Windows 7 compatibility

Will be that neither FBUS Configurator 3.2.0 works with Windows 7?  If not, is there a way to upgrade? We use an NI FBUS PCI card.

If an upgrade is required, it is a software or hardware or both that is upgraded?  What is the cost of upgrade?

Configurator 3.2.x does not support Windows 7. You can upgrade to 4.0.1 Configurator. Only the software requires updating.

The cost of the upgrade is much lower than the purchase of a new license. For more information, please contact your representative local OR.

    Hello

Please update your software. The latest version is NEITHER-FBUS 15.0.You can download it here.

PS: If you use LabVIEW, please confirm the problem of compatibility before upgrading.  NOR-FBUS 15.0 would support LabVIEW 2012 to 2015.

  • Compact RIO NOR-9082 Configuration in MAX, cannot save

    Hello world

I tried to implement a new cRIO the NOR-9082. Currently, I am able to see the cRIO under "Remote devices" in MAX configuration and view. However, the two errors that are produced:

    (1) when I try to change the setting as the host name and press 'save' a warning appears saying: "there was a problem, save the settings of the target. Make sure that your material is under tension and hat it is connected to the network. I have attached a picture below.

    (2) at the same time, when I try to install the software on the cRIO by double-clicking on 'software' and selecting "Add/Remove software" and run the Wizard "LabVIEW Real - Time Software", another error is displayed: "error: the disk hard n the remote system is complete or encountered an i/o error." I've also attached a picture below.

The cRIO is lit with "DISABLE RT' toggled OFF. It is connected to the network via an Ethernet cable. This connection seems fine, however I look. (The connection of Ethernet port light flashes continuously activity indication etc..) It is the PC that is connected to the same network, I'm trying to interface with the cRIO. The cRIO displays the right IP address assigned through the network.

My apologies if I have not provided enough information to solve this problem, but if someone might be able to explain why I could meet these two problems in these circumstances, assistance would be much appreciated. Thank you!

It seems the main reason I got all these weird problems, it was because the compact RIO NI 9082 can come bundled with windows 7 and LabVIEW 2012 SP1 preinstalled and run as stand-alone computer so all I had to do was plug in a VGA to a screen and a mouse USB, keyboard and an eithernet for network connection cable and he started very well. Now, development and deployment happen locally on the cRIO. It was a little silly to me, so hope that helps someone!

    Kind regards

  • NOR-DAQmx C to run two cards USB M series

    Hello

I am a newbie in working with DAQmx system and need help on the synchronization of multiple USB DAQ devices. The goal is to start the collection on two USB DAQ for M-series card, and we use C codes (via the DAQmx ANSI C library) to do this. I read and resources OR more guides: "Several hardware DAQ synchronization" (http://www.ni.com/dataacquisition/videos.htm), and examples of code on the dev box NOR: "NOR-DAQmx: HAVE / simultaneous in CVI AO" (http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/epd/p/id/879).

    My understanding is as follows:

    1. set the first card as the master and export the signal 'StartTrigger' and 'SampleClock' PFI1 and PFI2 (the physical axis).

    2. connect physically with pin PFI1 and PFI2 (sources) of MasterCard wire on pin of PFI0 and PFI1 (destination) in the slave card.

    3. set the task of the slave to use the beginning of digital dashboard using PFI0 and configure the sample clock of the slave task to use the clock of the source of the exported signal from main task to PFI1 (the slave PIN).

So far the result does not work. The error still shows as if the physical connection is not recognized (I have not yet found a way to check if the signal exported successfully or not).

I have attached the instant routing table to the map created in the MAX and the code snippet I used.

Any help is welcome. Thank you!

    Hi kusg.

DAQmx unclear that some PFI terminals on your two devices are interconnected, and you can't tell him that they are connected because DAQmx only supports connections inter-appareils for chassis PXI, not PFI terminals and cables of the RTSI. So export terminals PFI of Dev2 Dev1 task signals won't work.

However, you can export terminals PFI of Dev1 Dev1 task signals. Try to do this instead, and the error should go away (as I think it is to assume that it is error-89124).

In addition, when you use PFI, I recommend committing the master task before you begin the task of the slave, to start the master task does not generate unwanted edges digital:

    DAQmxTaskControl (masterTask, DAQmx_Val_Commit);

    DAQmxStartTask (slaveTask);

    DAQmxStartTask (masterTask);

  • Toshiba 39L2353DG: how to configure subtitles play movies from USB media

    Hello

I'm going to have bad configure subtitles of series and movies that I play via the USB port on my Toshiba 39L2353DG

Can someone please explain to me how can this be done?
    I would be very grateful!

Subtitles should be stored in the srt file (srt is perhaps the most fundamental of all formats of subtitles) and this file must be placed in the same directory (folder) as the film. The srt file also supports the UTF-8 format

Of course there are the file formats of different subtitles as idx/sub, idx/rar, smi, ssa, srt, sub.
Then you can try all of these formats, where a format is not supported.

  • How to configure the BIOS to boot USB on Satellite A50-110?

    Hello.
I own a Toshiba Satellite A50-110 and I have a USB bootable Flash drive, but I don't know how to boot from the USB key.
I guess I need to access and configure the BIOS. How can I do? Where can I get information on this subject? What are the steps to perform this task?

    TIA

    Hello

As far as I know in the BIOS cannot be configured anything. As much as I now on this old notebook you can use just USB floppy for boot drive (U key at startup), but not the USB flash drive.

Enter BIOS settings with the ESC key at first upward and check that all listed bootable devices.

  • NOR-traditional DAQ will work with a USB-6008?

    Hi guys,.

I have ordered a USB-6008 and I would use it with the NOR-DAQ traditional 7.4.4 instead of MX. Is this supported?

    Jim,

No, traditional DAQ isn't USB compatible, 6008.

You can use DAQmx base instead, but I wouldn't recommend it.

    hope this helps,

  • Nor given DAQ Assistant District recognize a USB chassis and modules, but does "Measure."... »

I use Labview 2012 full development and a chassis 8 slots cDAQ-9188 with nor-9203 (current), OR-8205 (voltage), OR-9213 (thermocouples) and NOR-9485 modules (switch) are installed.  Measurement and Automation Explorer, network devices, recognizes the chassis and modules installed, evidenced by the serial numbers of each poster. I downloaded DAQmx 9.6.1.  District data nor DAQ Assistant acknowledges that the chassis or modules.  So far, I don't think I'm confused, but I am.

Thanks, Marand.  As I wrote in the post, MAX recognized 9188 Chassis network devices and modules installed in the right-a panel cites.  District data nor Assistant recognized DAQ chassis or modules.  The solution was incredibly simple, but subtle.  CompactDAQ chassis and modules connected to the computer via the USB port are automatically recognized, and it is what I expected.  However, the 9188 is an Ethernet chassis;  While the chassis has been recognized on 'Network', I had to choose "Add Device" to have MAX recognize modules. Just by clicking on this option filled the tree.  All is well now.  I must tell you the steps you suggested are exactly those suggested by an engineer from disks OR I've met.  It was during this conversation that I proposed by selecting "Add Device" just because we had tried everything else.  Thanks again for your help...

  • Firmware of switching of NOR-DAQmx Base on Linux to the USB-6221

Our Windows machines are locked - even as developers, we without administrator privileges.  Which is updated from the impossible firmware via the Windows Device Manager.  On the other hand, we have total control on our Linux machines.

Is it possible to download and check out the images of the firmware on Linux?  In particular, I need to move a USB-6221 to NOR-DAQmx Base.  I couldn't find all the instructions to do this on Linux.

    wlbaker

I had a moment of complete Dyslexics your first post - powered external USB DAQ playback devices (USB-622 x, USB-625 x USB-628 x) are not supported under Linux (by DAQmx 8.0.1 or DAQmx Base 3.3), while DAQ USB (USB-621 x) bus-powered devices are supported by only DAQmx Base. The Readme files for the two drivers list the devices on which they based [1] [2].

The USB-6212 case is the closest to the USB-6221 match, although if you don't have extenstive digital i/o in your application, the USB-6211 housing would also be a good fit.
