NuGet publication cycle

There has been some updates the driver managed through patches bundle since the last update of the Oracle.ManagedDataAccess NuGet package in June. Now, there is even a new version of the ODAC, but still no new NuGet package. What is the plan of Oracle on NuGet releases? I was very happy when I saw the official package, but if they are updated so rarely, what is the point of having them?

Oh and I noticed that the pilot managed since bundle patch 12.1 . 0.2.9 differs from the ODAC 12cR4. Is the date in the version of reliable product, so is the Assembly of the ODAC 12cR4 the newest one?

There will be a next based on ODP.NET in ODAC 12 c R4 NuGet package. We decided to publish versions YES and Xcopy first because they have been completed prior to the publication of NuGet. There is also an upcoming MSI version as well.

Oracle will out NuGet packages more often as the ODAC releases. We have not decided on a specific version tempo. Our way of thinking, is that when we have something new ready, we will release on Nuget.

  • BlackBerry 10 if I install a leak. Will I receive a notification to install the 10.3.1 official?

I'm not a big fan of leaks that I had bad experiences with them.  I usually call them shit leaks old, not optimized. So my question is for example, I'm under 10.3.1.2072 or any other... Will I receive a notice in the settings to install the 10.3 official?

    Hello

If your carrier sanctions a version that is newer than any version of the OS you are using (leak or not is not serious), you will receive a notification that a new version is available. Depending on how you have configured the OTA update capability, it may or not may not auto-implementation update... control you the game. Is usually a good idea to check manually from time to time, just to be sure.

Don't forget, however, that, as has always been with BBs, it is your operator who controls, not BB... so if your operator is slower to approve versions of OS, so it will take more time for it to be released to you via this channel official, even if other people in the world are beginning to receive. Each carrier controls the publication cycle to their customers.

    Good luck!

  • Virtual appliance for Veeam

If I use the free version of Veeam backup mV, I don't want to use a Windows license to install Veeam.  Is there such a thing as Veeam backup virtual appliance that runs the veeam backup software without requiring a Windows operating system?  If this is not the case, this is intended to be released at a later date?

At the moment only Windows Version exists.

Backup free edition is the same basis as the paid versions of code. So, it benefits from the software main cycles of quick and immediate release supports new VMware and Hyper-V Versions.

Yes, the device is very easy to deploy, but to me a problem of security in an organization. You are at the mercy of sellers (security) update deployment.

I think that the idea of the Windows Version is so easy to use (everyone knows Windows) and can be integrated in your existing patch, antivirus and monitoring environment.

If Veeam will add the unit or support for Linux I think it will double/tribble close R & D and quality control effort and will slow down the publication cycle.

I m not Veeam management product, but I think that you won't see backup free edition in the form of appliance in the next time.

On MS Outlook license, you can use Backup free Edition also on a workstation OS (XP-8: 1) on a PC/computer/laptop virtual. But for VMware vSphere 5.5 support you need a 64 bit OS.

    Best reagards... Andy

Edit1: You can add a feature on http://forums.veeam.com request. Veeam product management is very active in the Forums of Veeam and the Forum will have an influence on the priority list.

  • The vCO upgrade 5.1 to 5.1.2

    Hello

Anyone upgraded the vCO to the 5.1.2 5.1 unit new version?  I do not see any file of correction on the downloads section, so I guess that the upgrade is actually a new installation of the device. There is a way to export the configuration of the vCO, but I'm afraid I have to again implement things like authentication, LDAP, authentication of kerberos for the PowerShell plugin, etc.

The other unknown for the process is if the current plugins supports new versions of vCloud Director and vCenter/ESXi (5.1 U1).

    Thank you

    Juan.

    Hi Juan,

You mean that upgrading to version 5.1.1 right? 5.1.1 is the last version available; 5.1.2 isn't out yet.

I did not such an update, but in theory you should be able to do by following these steps:

    1. Opening of session in the Web INTERFACE of the appliance vCO (to https://: 5480)
    2. Go to the tab "Update".
    3. Click on the "Check updates" button and wait for the list of available updates (if any) is filled. In my environment, I see a update available-> ' 5.1.1.0 build 1070383'
    4. Click the "Install updates" button

As for your question of plugins - plugin VC that comes bundled with vCO 5.1.1 (device or autonomous) should work with vCenter/ESXi 5.1U1. vCloud is a different publication cycle and I'm not sure that the versions are supported by plug-ins currently available vCloud and who will be supported in the next version.

    Hope this helps,

    -Ilian

  • Memory mixed config for a Precision T5500

I just got a T5500 with 6 GB of RAM recommended in it as three 2 GB in memory slots DIMM1/DIMM2/DIMM3 RDIMMs. The RDIMMS is double rank RAM Samsung M393B5673EH1-CH9 =.

I think to buy three double 4 GB row RDIMMs of the Samsung same '1 GB E-die/72-bit ECC/78FBGA' "production group" and put in DIMM1/DIMM2/DIMM3 and join the current RDIMMs DIMM4/DIMM5/DIMM_6. The 4 GB RDIMMs would be M393B5170EH1-CH9.

I don't know if the production group is the right terminology.

I realize that I might well be able to add many other types of RAM recommended for this machine.

Samsung to these RDIMMs documentation (more info that I need way) is at the ADDRESS below.

    www.Samsung.com/.../180107ds_ddr3_1gb_e-die_based_rdimm_rev106.pdf

My current CPU is a Xeon E5504. I will likey updated the BIOS and then upgrade to an E5640 or faster processor and also the swap in a U016F/0U016F heatsink. I doubt I'll need 2 CPUs in this machine.

So, my question is... will this fly?

The "supported Memory Configurations" in the Installation Guide for a single processor for the T5500 are:

    GB ranks DIMM1, DIMM2, DIMM3, DIMM4, DIMM5 DIMM_6
    3, SR, 1 GB, 1 GB 1 GB
    4, SR, 1 GB, 1 GB 1 GB, 1 GB
    4, M., 2 GB, 1 GB 1 GB
    8, M., 2 GB, 2 GB, 2 GB, 1 GB 1 GB
    12, SR, 2 GB, 2 GB, 2 GB, 2 GB 2 GB, 2 GB
    12, DR., 4 GB 4 GB 4 GB
    24, DR., 4 GB 4 GB 4 GB 4 GB 4 GB, 4 GB
    24, DR., 8 GB, 8 GB 8 GB
    32, M., 8 GB, 8 GB 4 GB 4 GB 4 GB, 4 GB
    48, DR., 8 GB, 8 GB, 8 GB, 8 GB, 8 GB, 8 GB

The configuration of the memory I want to run is not in the supported list. [The commas in the list are to avoid any compression of empty tank, if this site is.]

The installation guide says (in a configuration CPU 1) "If configuration contains DIMMs of mixed sizes, fill the DIMMS over first." Which means that my 4 GB RDIMMS should be in DIMM1/DIMM2/DIMM3.

Everyone here an experience to try a config memory like that in a T5500? Any other comments would be welcome.

    Thanks for reading all this!

I ran two tests and the results are...

This memory mixed configuration worked well for me in two different T5500s. YMMV of course because it is not a "supported Memory Configurations." This means that, at the time of publication, cycle of these machines that Dell did not test for this config work in all situations and so compatibility can be a somewhat random thing in some situations.

Tests show below that for my 2 T5500s this config memory ran without error and at the same speed memory whereby each T5500 will run normally. None of these two T5500s run RAM at 1333 MHz maximum rate, because that will not support the processors they have in them. A single processor supports 1066 MHz RAM and the other RAM 800 MHz. If this test would have been done with a Xeon X 5550 or better (support 1333 MHz) then maybe a slight slowing in speed of RAM might have emerged... who knows.

The tests below were made with the Samsung M393B5673EH1-CH9 2 GB DIMM (PC3-10600R/DDR3-1333), I mentioned in the 1st post. For the DIMMs to 4 GB, I used low voltage Samsung M393B5170FH0-YH9 DIMM (PC3L-10600R/DDR3-1333) because that's what I have on the spot. I never knew before that you can mix normal and low-voltage DIMM, but I found a post about it on this forum. With the T5500/T7500, you can mix (YMMV) as long as you keep them in different banks/groups.

Banks of memory triple channel/groups are a T5500 (one per line):
    DIMM1/DIMM2/DIMM3
    DIMM4, DIMM5/DIMM6
the DIMM card 3 riser (if you have a 2nd CPU)

The two tests below are with 4 GB DIMM in DIMM1/DIMM2/DIMM3 and 2 GB DIMMS in DIMM4, DIMM5/DIMM_6 and not riser card/2nd of processor installed. All DIMMs are double row (2Rx4/2Rx8). For me, it was suggested by someone I respect that mix DIMMS with different grades is generally not a hot idea (YMMV). In a T5500 if you have mixed DIMM size then put DIMMs larger on riser if you on the other put them in DIMM1/DIMM2/DIMM3. In each memory/bank group, you want to have the same kind of RAM. Fact all in threes is optimal and strongly suggested.

The first machine I've tried was a T5500 2011 (mobo 0CRH6C) with a Xeon E5504 CPU. It seems that all processors E5506 or less only supports memory at 800 MHz and the E5504 is in this bucket. This means that a MEMORY faster barrette would "clock down" at 800 MHz. I did a test of 24 h on Memtest86 + v5 of the mixed config 4 GB / 2 GB DIMM without any error. The BIOS set the RAM at 800 MHz = PC3-6400/DDR3-800 speeds. It is somewhat a waste of speed, but the problem isn't with the CPU, the RAM.

The second computer I tried was a T5500 2009 (0CRH6C mobo) and the CPU was a Xeon E5640. It seems that E5550 CPU or higher support 1333 MHz memory and processors E5520 or higher support 1066 MHz memory. It seems that the E5640 is into the 2nd bucket (1066 MHz support).

I did a test of 12 hr Memtest86 + v5 of the mixed config 4 GB / 2 GB DIMM without any error. The BIOS has set 1 066 = PC3-8500/DDR3-1066 MHz RAM. Again, the slowdown has been because of the CPU.

The stickers on the 2 mobos time say 0CRH6C, but the numbers after that are a little different, so there may be a slight variation here. The T5500 2009 has the latest version of the BIOS and the 2011 has still an early BIOS (A06?).

The performance of memory at a slightly slower speed... I think that if you are using a computer that had the memory was idle a little you would have a hard time 'feel the difference' due to the fact that location main memory you want at some point is probably already in the L1/L2/L3 on the CPU cache.

Benchmarks can certainly show little difference because of the slowdown in speed of RAM, but if you are clicking on a computer and it is 5% faster or slow it's will all feel the same.

All comments/comments are quite welcome, especially on what memory speeds supported are for the processors that the T5500 can take (also T7500).

I notice that in the very recent thread started by the user claytonb entitled "Memory Configuration in Precision T5500" he has a very similar memory configuration and it works for him.

It seems that I can't join this post if a screw link follows.

  • Oracle SQL Developer 3.1 or 1.5.5 Oracle11g customer?

    Hello

What SQLdeveloper is the latest version? I just installed a client Oracle11g on Windows XP 32 bit that comes with SQLDeveloper and installs it in ORACLE_HOME. This is the version 1.5.5.
How is it related to version 3.1? What is the difference?
    The standalone version was 3.0.0x.

    Thank you
    Richard

    3.1 is the latest.

The reason why the version shipped with 11g is so old, it's that the publication cycle for the DBMS (including the client bundle) is much slower than SQL Developer. GR 11, 2 is a couple of years now and there are several versions of SQL Developer since then.

  • Can Dreamweaver CS6 identify 5.4 PHP array syntax and new syntax

Dreamweaver CS6 doesn't seem to be grateful PHP 5.4 syntax such as the new table syntax, which is equivalent to (finally) which allows you to declare arrays in the way Javascript and other web programming languages large ($array = ["item1", "item2", ' item3,])

    Traits also seem to be ignored as well, this will be added soon (I hope is not in a "CS6.5 Dreamweaver");

Unfortunately not.  The publication cycle of DW put out a month after the release of PHP 5.4.  It would be more likely in DW CS6.5 or CS7.

  • The battery: Cycle Count

I recently bought a new macbook pro 13 inch (my first macbook never) and decided to read a little about the life of the battery.

To my surprise, I realize that my cycle was 7!

(Note: I only bought the macbook for about 4 days and charged for 3 - 4 times)

And according to the sites, cycle counts only account all costs 100% (fresh short accumulation).

In addition, my battery life estimated at 05:10 hours at 92%, but jumped to 08:40 hours to 84%.

    Should I be worried?

I read that you can actually leave your macbook to charge overnight, but do you do with the power supply on or off?

What is the best way to charge your macbook?

If you are not satisfied with this experience, please return it and get another.

You can return a Mac within 14 days of the purchase.

I have no question... just an observation. I just took my ear dryer Flash pods. Also, they went through a full wash cycle. They still work despite a kinky twist in the wire. So with my test not planned, I find that they are watertight. Thank you Apple.

I guess you will then test your new iPhone 7?

  • What are the normal batteries fresh cycle when buying a used macbook pro

    Hello

Looking to buy a macbook pro 2014, battery life is important enough and the machine, that I'm looking seems really well taken care of but the battery charge cycle is 300. Is this ok or normal? I don't like the idea that it is a third of the used way!

Regardless of the number of cycles a battery has gone through, replace the battery with five years of service.  Age is a factor in the health of a lithium-ion battery.

Assuming a battery will last in its setting of 1000 cycles design (most don't) suggests that 200 cycles per year would be realistic.  The MBP you are considering have 300 cycles seems to be quite normal given his age.  I wouldn't worry.

    Ciao.
