  First of all, why do you want to use the ray-traced rendering engine? It is considered to be obsolete. It was a crappy way to do 3d in After Effects. And, if you do not use it to create the geometry of 3d in AE, it slowed just all way down.

  If you want to do 3d in AE work, use the new and more powerful 3d solution that comes with AE or use a third-party plugin like 3-d element Zaxwerks Invigorator, courage, etc. - GPU needs ShapeShifter have nothing to do with the requirements of the renderer traced to the RADIUS.   The person who set up my office of 3770K Core i7 with 16 GB of RAM at 1600 mHz installed map GT640 nVidia with 2 GB memory DDR3. He said that it was a good (low cost) card for video editing because it has 384 CUDA cores - very useful for video editing. I'm pretty ignorant on graphics cards, but as the power consumption low, 65 watts and deemed cool temperature resistance. I have read since DDR5 memory would have been much faster due to a higher bandwidth memory - say 80-90 GB per second compared to 28.5 Gb per second for DDR3 memory on the GT640 map. I put the record on the maximum bit rate.

  Certainly, this card will not work in your machine for two reasons.

  You had already posted the R9 280 X and I said that these cards full size do not fit in the 620 years.  The best card you can get for this system is the low profile Sapphire HD 7750 shown here if you can still find available.  If you are looking for a high-end gaming card, you will need to buy a new computer, because high-end gaming cards simply do not match your case.  If you want cards like the GTX 770 or R9 280 X, I suggest you build your own computer.
