OBIAPPS 7.9.6.3 AIX 6.1 installation

Hello Experts

Could be he you pls tell me what is the way to install OBIAPPS setup in Unix/AIX.

Do I have to run the Windows Setup program, and then transfer all files metadata (such as the RPD, webcat, dwrep etc.). Or can I use the same AIX server to run the installation program because the installer asks for Weblogic server be operational. He write/update something pertaining to the domian weblogic in the AIX server.

What is the way to install oniapps in AIX.

Simple installation will be fine. You use only the windows to 'install' BI Apps installation. Once installed on the windows machine BI applications relevant parts are copied to the AIX machine and you are not installing the OBIEE server on windows again.

First fix for this:

unset ORACLE_HOME before running for OBIEE 12 c configuration wizard.

Another option is to install without the application of sampleLite.

Ensure that the language game is another OBIS EN_US-UTF-8 will not start

I am trying to install oracle weblogic server 12 c on an AIX server. Setup detects that there is no space to Exchange on the system, but it's not true; the system has 16 GB memory swap. You can see on the screenshots.
- Start the setup of Weblogic.
- Control system swap space.
- The system is not running out of ram also.
- Even if I tell the installer to continue and ignore the swap space, it freezes and does not continue, and it is the last part of the log file of the installation program.
Can any body explain or help me with this problem?

I've tried silent installation and it worked, even though I told it to ignore requests from pre system.

I use the method of installation in silent mode for installation 11 GR 1 material customer oem using the doc 'http://download.oracle.com/otndocs/products/oem/agent-files/64-bit/aix5l-64-11.1.0.1.0.-instructions.txt' (3.2. 10.2.0.2 database install hangs on AIX 5.3
We have four new, recently set up, server AIX with the same configuration in which about IBM patches, kernel settings, etc.. Install it on our second server crashes while the other three installs successfully. It is not a problem of connectivity with the x-windows software or PuTTY because YES is displayed correctly and we go into all the details of our installation.

We get as far as the summary screen, how we review the settings to use, and then select 'Install' and 10g screen comes up (where you could usually see status) and nothing else happens. Finally, the screen washes out themselves and nothing happens. We have uploaded the new copies of the software from OTN, transferred to the copies of the files from one of the servers successful, but with the same results.

I have attached the below Setup log file content and hope that someone can have a time to review and show something that can cause the problem of installation. I am available to provide any additional information, as requested.

Version of the OS: AIX 5.3

DBCA 12.1.0.2 does not deselect options database

After a software successfully on IBM AIX 7.1 installation I started the creation of the database using DBCA
I noticed that in the section "Database Options", all components are selected and the boxes are Devils so I can't disable any component.
I found MOS Doc-ID 1590570.1 and it seems that this is normal.
1 does anyone know what is the reason for this?

For some reason you seem to think that it would be an advantage to install a CBD with only the necessary database components. Well, apparently you can create a CBD with all components installed, or create a non - CBD were you can do not to install certain components. I'm afraid a users forum is perhaps not able to provide you with a definitive answer why there is such a design.

The way I see it, from what I learned about 12 c so far, what you are trying to accomplish would probably add more complexity, affecting many aspects of the multitenancy, including the PDB of the SEED, which should be adjusted according to your custom options. It will also complicate things when you decide to connect or transfer other databases in your CBD.

I tried add Host in Oracle 12 c. I previously added Linux host OS, but I couldn't add OS AIX in 12 c. I did the auto update for Agent of AIX. You can find my OS and DB info on below.

Server Oracle 12 c - OS is SunOS 5.10
Client host Oracle 11.2.0.1.0 - OS is AIX

During the installation, I got this error message "the administration server is not reachable from the node target via HTTP (S). In topology, we do not use any firewall... As I said I've added Linux and SunOS but AIX does not...

How can I solve that?

Just try to find a more recent version of firefox, thunderbird and seamonkey for my

There is a DC environment, hosted on IBM Blade servers, they have different OS, the OS is IBM AIX Power 6 which hosts an Oracle database.

We provide a DC recovery site using Cisco UCS servers, prior to that, I want to be certain of the points below:

2. If we decided to choose CISCO UCS blade servers, what are the limits to the virtaulization?

I have JAVA SDK 7 which is supposed to be certified with both weblogic and BI 12 c
I have installed weblogic with no problems, but when you call BI installation I get this error

I tried to adjust/etc/security/limits
$ ulimit - a

DB too fast growth during the migration to AIX 12 c

Please, help me understand why db growing so fast.
I have an older server (Win2003) table with 11g, which contains 400 000 000 rows and receives 79 GB tablespace
This table is sous-partitionnée and contains number and varchar2 datatypes (up to 50 bytes)
After copying the data to the new table (which places on AIX 12 DB) with the same structure (I used INSERT + DBLINK) size of the table takes 118 GB!
Please, help me to understand the reasons for this growth.

How to plan interfaces or packages, if the files are windows and my server is AIX 7.1?

I have to plan the interfaces and packages in studio ODI tends in Windows and the server is located in AIX 7.1
While I'm with Agent to run the interface, it is been display of the file not found error. But while running without an agent he was running, the files are placed in the windows system, but not the AIX server.
but when I put these files in AIX, I am able to run the interface with the agent. but in my scenario, the files are regardless of operating system.
Can someone help me in the performance of the interface in which the DISHES files are in the Windows system and ODI server is IBM AIX 7.1 server.
Please help me correct on how to program (I just calendar because, if the interfaces are able to run with agent then obviously they must provide, please correct me if I'm wrong. ) interfaces using agent. ???

2. the second way is sharing directory with files Windows OS using samba, and your agent on AIX server could take the files in the shared directory
