  I need to support applications that have LV2010 with the Vision Development Module 2010 while my development PC a VDM, 2012.  The VDM developers are frequently new versions of IMAQ functions AND for some reason, changing the name of the function.  For example, this new version of VDM has a 2 excerpt from IMAQ instead of extract IMAQ.  Why change the name of this function?  It causes headaches for those like me who support several versions of LV and VDM because as much as I know, NEITHER did not leave the old IMAQ extract to a folder of compatibility where necessary.

  In retrospect, I probably shouldn't have left the VDM 2012 updated 2010 LV Installer (I think it may have been an option to turn that off, I'm not sure), but at this point, except a bunch of UN-installing and installation, is it possible easy for me to bring back some functions of VDM 2010 as IMAQ extracted to my installation of LV2010?

  Please use our forums. I can certainly understand the frustration with these changes, especially when it comes to support and use several versions.

  The good news is that you can indeed find and use these previous functions. They are just hidden in the palette of functions, but can easily be accessed and used by entering the library of Vision and access to libraries of .llb. Please refer to this article in the knowledge base for more information on the location of the functions.

  Your desired function will be located in C:\Program NIUninstaller Instruments\LabVIEW xx\vi.lib\vision\Image Manipulation.llb

• Activation of the module

  I had to install LabVIEW on another computer, but when I tried to run my screws saved, IMAQ vision screws were not all installed.  I couldn't, so I transferred the vision above an old computer as suggested here http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/B23E67C08CBD161886256F82007D58D8 folder

  These screws are now present, but they are not enabled.  When I try to activate the module ('the Vision Development Module library'), it shows that all the components of LabVIEW are enabled, so there is no way to activate it.

  The full error message I get when I try to run the VI is

  "The library of Vision Development Module is expired or improperly allowed on this computer. To purchase this product, contact National Instruments. If you have already purchased this product, select help > activate the components of LabVIEW to activate this product. »

  I've been tracking just the CD with the original software.  I took a lot more time that it could have - this is why I tried the method described in the URL.  He had problems, but it's done now.

• Cannot open VBAI 2014

  I have been using different versions of Labview, VBAI. Then I uninstalled all the software of NOR and reinstalled the Labview 2014 and 2014 VBAI.

  Sometimes it gives an error on an entry point cannot be opened in nivissvc.dll. I googled and found similar situations that explains the reason for the problem is IMAQ and Windows itself. I uninstalled the drivers IMAQ and nothing has changed.

  Also, I try to reinstall VBAI, and gave no results.

  Windows format is not an option for me. So, I wonder why this phenomenon happens and how to fix this?

  Moreover, I was able to use VBAI 2014 first place before uninstalling all software of NOR.

  I removed all the software of NOR and installed VBAI and VDM 2013 this time. VBAI was once again on the start screen. And in labview Vision screws gave this kind of error:

• Use of FPGA references in a class

  Hi all

  I found a work around for a question I had but it's not quite as elegant as I would like, so I thought I would post this question that I have.  I am running a RT system on a PXI chassis.  The system responds to commands from the user sent via TCP/IP.  Much of the architecture is based on object-oriented techniques.  In addition to the RT system, I have a card of the R series that I use for DIO and AO.  For communication between the two loops (one that queries for the interaction with the user and the other that runs continuously measures), I use a data to encapsalate my main class reference.  (simple example below)

  

  In the main class, I maintain a reference to the FPGA session which I ungroup when necessary to change the settings on the FPGA.  The reference is bound to strictly control type def' ed.  I can manage to open the session for the FPGA (upper loop; vi below)

  

  However, when I try to access the FPGA session open in the loop at the bottom, I get an error saying that the session is not open or is not valid.

  I know it can be difficult to understand (I show the full set of screws, but they are large enough so those simplified should be enough), but someone has any ideas on this topic?  I've linked the reference to a def of strict type for reference FPGA as for 2009, but I still get this error.  Maybe there's something that I am missing?

  Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

• parallel configuration for-lopp is not possible

  I have problems running a parallel loop. The Task Manager indicates that 8% workload, showing that only one of the 12 runs. I need to process the image of a repertoire of about 20,000 (U16, grayscale) tiff images

  First of all, I thought that it is a problem of Vision-screws, because they use pointers as a reference image. Pointers would cause problems in a parallel loop. That's why I rewrote briefly the morphological filter screws without using the screw of the vision-Toolbox. but it does not help. The program still works with the workload of 8%, indicating only 1 core is active.

  A test showed that labview is able to run a task with all 12 hearts. It is not a problem in windows.

  Maybe someone has an idea why this is not working so far. The main program is called "StreifenWegmachenAlleBilderv11Multicore". All other screws are sub-vis. At present, it would take about 1 week to process all the images. I want to accelerate to a night operation.

  For many years around 2002, I downloaded a sample file called "culture.zip", which contained some culture.vi.

  If I use the .NET ID driver in LabView, I can define the return on investment, but with the problem that I have a picturebox as output and not an Imaq image for further image processing.

  What I need is an Imaq image that a specific ROI that I can use for image processing. The return on investment must be defined in the camera (not inside LabView) due to the higher FPS!

  Should be able to get a frame with or without preset rate a return on investment.  I think that IDS has a way of setting the return on investment outside MAX help on their table VI Vision screws provided by the IDS allows to convert image format IMAQ arry.  See example image.

  Perhaps, it helps to understand things better if we walk in the plan.

  Plans have a hierarchical structure (which is translated graphically by fingerprints). Operating needs parent all the children completed operations before it can do its job (which is generally combining lines with children in one way or another).

  Another point is that joins can have anything like their entries, tables not only. That is a hash join can join an index for an index or a table to an index, or then to join a table results of hash one another and so on and so forth.

  With this in mind, we can go back on what is happening here step by step:

  The needs of the join by hash (1) (2) and (10) to finish. (10) is a basic operation, since a table scan depends on nothing else, but merge join handset (2) (3) and (5), who both are complex operations (i.e. dependent on one or more children). Specifically, lines (3) from the DEPARTMENTS table using ROWID obtained from a full analysis of the index of DEPT_LOCATION_IX (4), (5) is simply lines join hash (7) and sorted in the order required.

  OK, let's see if this example helps clarify the situation.

  Suppose you make an update of a very large table, and she fills the buffer with lots of stamps Sales cache.

  Now, suppose that sessions begin with "free buffer waits. In other words, these sessions meeting that error will score DBWR to wake up and get to work some of the blocks Sales write to disk, which makes them eligible to be aged out of the buffer. However, DBWR cannot and will not write data in data files until it is written in the restore log file by progression online. Thus, DBWR will report LGWR to ensure that changes to the blocks is subject to write are already written again. Then, DBWR is free to write buffers of data files.   So, what is happening? How Oracle can treat all of these uncommitted data written everywhere? What happens if there is an accident? Well, okay, first, let's assume that, in the case of any accident, there are several thousands buffers that have been updated with a session, and they're all written offshore on the disc and 10 minutes later, that the session is finally committed. What is going on? Well, validation will be written to the log of restoration by progress. Thus, a "marker of validation" going again and is written to the disk. This will mark the transaction posted in the rollback segment header. Beyond that, nothing to another has to happen immediately. Oracle is very good to delay work at the latest. Thus, the blocks in datafile show still as non-validated and point to the (now engaged) transaction that is listed in the undo segment header. The next time the block is read from the disk, Oracle will 'delay block drain plug' and clean up these pointers flying over. It will read the block header, see pointers to the transaction, go read the header block to cancel, to find the transaction is validated and update the datablock accordingly.

  So, ok, this is all fine and good, and good, but what happens if the instance crashes with non-validated data in the data files? Well, ok, in the case of an instance crash, what happens? Oracle will read headings of the control file and all data files, it uses this information to determine the last valid checkpoint for each data file and now he knows how far back in online redo log stream, he must go and it will start right here and roll forward, reading all these transactions (this includes all the transactions that have committed and who have been posted in the proceeding's) crushed). So now, once it is renewed at the current point in time, all data should find data files, including data from these uncommitted transactions. But wait, that data uncommitted is not valid, the cause of the transactions that were in progress, are now gone, cause that they were lost when the instance has crashed! So, Oracle will read the cancellation of segment headers and find all uncommitted transactions are still before the accident and set back.

  So we roll forward to recover all transactions to redo, and then we restore using data for annulment to clean uncommitted transactions (lost). In this way, Oracle guarantees the integrity of the data up to the last transaction committed, in the case of a defect of the instance.
