OEM Windows 8 creating back up on a DVD player or a pen

Hello

Good evening to all!

I just bought a HP Pavilion Touchsmart 11 e015dx Notebook PC. It comes with the system of operating Windows 8 OEM pre-installed.

I was intending to save the operating system to an external pen drive support so to case or worse, I may be able to restore my original OS. I am aware of Windows Recovery Drive D. But don't you think it much more wise to have your operating system on an external support!

On my previous HP Pavilion dv5 notebook, HP had shipped me the DVD of my Windows Vista Home Premium OEM OS. HP can provide the same?

Can you please help step by step in the backup of the operating system on a Flash DRIVE.

Thanking you,

Kind regards

Alexander

Hello

There is a good guide for establishing a recovery media on a USB Flash drive on the following document.

http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03481733

Before you start, I suggest that ensure you that the Flash Player is suitable - quoting the document above "use white, quality not plu pendrive of 32 GB and one that is NOT marked as compatible Windows 8".

A simple way to check this before creating your recovery is to insert the Flash drive and look at how it is recognized by Windows 8 - in the example below, the 32 Gb Flash Drive (Dave G) is detected as an internal drive and will not work while the right (removable disk H) Flash drive is detected as a removable device and will work.

Best regards

    Hi all

    I have a 13 inch Satellite U400.
Due to problems with my Softkeys, lighting and hibernation status (any help on thos would also be useful) I want to create a recovery DVDs with the Toshiba Recovery Disk Creator.

The thing is: it starts when I have a CD in the DVD drive, but as soon as I put a DVD in (what is needed), it gives me an errormessage that said something like 'another application is using this drive or no disc recording where found in the laptop. 0D00E4-F0-00000000 error code).

My DVD player does not work properly, I can play movies and the drivers and the status is ok too.
I noticed, that error code changes, but I don't know how to get the recovery disk creator will.

What can I do? Change something in the registry?
I don't know what happened on my laptop, I bought a few months ago - new. I guess that, reset everything would bring my softkeys, lighting and hibernation status back.

    Hello

Did you create virtual CD/DVD drives with special software? If so, remove the software completely. In addition, if you have installed burning, programs, you should check if they will be started when Windows starts and if so, disable the beginning upward. So go to start > run > msconfig > start. Here, you can disable the start of burning software (for example Nero, CD Burner XP, etc.).

And what DVD are you using for burning? I have good experiences with DVD - R Verbatim and TDK discs. These are high-quality discs and you should try it too!

Last but not least, you need to remove the upper and lower registry filters. It is always advisable to the problems of the CD/DVD drive:
    (1) run Regedit (start-> Run-> Regedit)
    2) go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
    (3) in the right pane, delete the "UpperFilters" key and delete the key "LowerFilters".
    (4) restart.

Depending on your problem with the keys to enlightenment that you should try to reinstall the Toshiba value added Package. This determines the buttons of enlightenment, FN keys and other special functions on your laptop. I had a similar problem with my Qosmio F50 illumination buttons and I posted something on this subject in the Qosmio forum that you should try it too!

    Hello

    OK, try the following.

As you use HP MediaSmart DVD to play discs, follow these steps.

HP now provides a version of PowerDVD 10 Cyberlinks which seems to be a better solution.  Download the latest installer for it on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp56501-57000/sp56904.exe

Once the download is complete, open windows control panel, open programs and features, make a right click the entry for HP MediaSmart DVD and select uninstall - when this process is complete, restart the laptop.

When windows has reloaded, open your downloads folder and double-click Setup for PowerDVD 10 start the installation.  Once done, see if your discs now plays OK.

FYI: You could buy a blank DVD to make a Bootable Windows 7 DVD blank disc is cheap or read USB boards at the end of this post

Another method for reinstall is to download the correct ISO file and make your own drive and use the product key located on the COA sticker.

And Neosmart has instructions on how to burn ISO disk images using imgburn:

    Then do a clean install:

The COA sticker is either or in the battery compartment on the underside of the laptop.

With a desktop computer, it's on the side, the back or the top of the computer case.

By using the downloaded ISO file method can require the Activation of phone.

If it does require phone activation, do not follow Demand of Auto, but brace yourself for a real person explain as to what has been done for purposes of re-setup

  • It is illegal to not have coa (certificate of authenticity) sticker on machine OEM windows 7

Hello world. I'm working on a rental of TI and customers our laptops rent company. The question is, some of these laptops were sent without the COA sticker on it. It is illegal for a laptop that comes with windows 7 pro with no COA sticker on them?

Its a dell laptop computer Vostro and they come with Windows 7 Pro. Yes, I can still use the Dell OEM disc to reinstall the OS and still make it genuine because it activates automatically, but it's still legal? No COA sticker?

The question is, Windows 7 OEM version installation disc exclusively for their range of PC brand, that doesn't require activation (which means Windows is activated by default). This inherited feature is applicable for all models, regardless of the Windows license that contains the product.

For example, if you buy a Dell with Windows 7 Ultimate laptop preinstalled (you can find COA with the product key) and creates a recovery disk or an installation disc came with the PC, the work of discs fine with other models (works with the other model range of only Dell and do not agree with other brands like HP) that this also where Windows 7 Edition Home Premium or no windows (such as BACK or Linux in which case, COA is not present) was preinstalled. Can't find any question using the same Windows 7 Ultimate in these parts as these PCs also are the same OEM built. But this step is illegal according to the law, as the license is for Windows 7 Home Premium and no payment (for the upgrade or a new license) has been filed before using Windows 7 Ultimate edition.
To stop this, Microsoft has improved the technique of licenses in Windows 8 where the COA/product key is embedded in the BIOS of the computer itself and so built the provided Windows installation disc with that particular PC cannot be installed in other PC, even if they are from the same manufacturer.
In your case, lack of COST means, the label must have been damaged or removed or that the product is legally authorized to hold preinstalled Windows 7. In this case, he must purchase a new license. If the label is damaged or deleted, you can install the same edition of Windows 7, but that many want to confirm with Dell, using the Express Service Code or Service number, before continuing.
  • Problem with OEM Windows 8

Bought the Y580 with just the 1 TB drive HARD and Windows 8 preinstalled.

Then, I bought a 64 GB msata disc. Now I know fast drive does not work with windows 8 yet if I just put windows 8 on the msata drive for now.

    Here's the problem:

OEM Windows 8 stores a product key on bios. I even bought the upgrade pro (more for image .iso than anything else), but when I run it, even when I put the product key in before a reboot, restart, trying to read the key out of the bios (which failed because it is an OEM key for recovery) and it does not give me the opportunity to put in the new key.

Anyone know of a way to block the key to reading or get windows to clean install on a different drive, then as there are currently on? Maybe use the command prompt in the advanced options of the .iso?

Files should always be saved externally because a hard drive can die at any moment.  All files that are not saved are to be evaluated as worthless.

But you can save files on hard drive USB flash or external operating system starts plu using copy paste & - in the Windows Recovery Console with your support of OS install kicked, or by downloading and burning to CD with Windows Image Burner Paragon Rescue Kit Free Edition free 11.0 on another PC.

If you have the Windows 7 DVD or CD repair, try to run Startup Repair to obtain best results.  If this fails and you still want to try and fix it so all that can be done here is for Troubleshooting Windows 7 fail to start .  I'll help guide you through these repairs, if necessary, to answer here, because I'm more seven forums.

At some point, you can jump to a clean reinstall Windows 7 which includes everything you need to get and maintain a perfect installation.  Be sure to remove all partitions during the installation of punt.

Once installed, completely updated, activate, then follow the upgrade to Windows 10 - Microsoft

You can get around get Windows 10 app in the system tray to install Windows 10 using the media - Windows help authoring tool.

Check the box in the first option to automate the process or select 'to another PC"to create bootable flash media or download an ISO to burn it to a DVD with the drive of Windows Image.  Now you have media to reinstall or need repairs.  But to run the upgrade, it must be opened in Windows 7/8.1, click right installation to run as admin file.

To improve chances disable the upgrade everything at startup:

In Windows 7, type msconfig in the start search box, clear all the options on the tabs Services and start-up, after masking all the Services of Mrs.  Apply and restart.

Uninstall any antivirus except Defender.  Bloated AV like Norton, MacAfee, AVG and Avast need to have special tools to remove uninstallers (removal tools) for common - antivirus ESET Knowledgebase software.

Stick with the Defender into Windows 10 for better performance and protection.  If get infected you add inexpensive real-time protection of the best-in-class free Malwarebytes malware scanner.  I would also periodically scan with SUPERAntiSpyware or the most powerful AdwCleaner, also best-in-class and free.

I have an OEM Windows 7 on my computer. However, my hard drive is breaking (in fact, all parts of my computer breaks) and the breaking of the fast. I was hoping it is until I was in a better financial situation, but the computer collapses literally and I decided to buy a new computer, because I owe so much of my current computer replace its more just economic build a new one. The problem is that I'm not sure if I transfer windows, and he really really be great if I can not. I am eligible for the upgrade of windows 10 and my copy was booked earlier, but I don't know if I can improve my 7-10 and then hover over the image of the system to the new computer, or if I could transfer my product ID or what. If I can't do this, is there some prices reduced, I can pay to move the OEM product keys? If I just go by the known rules of the OEM licenses, so I can't without special permission, but with this whole enterprise upgrade 10, I don't know if this changes the rules at all. I really want to lop an another $119 to what I already pay suddenly replace my computer and actually do not know if I would even bother to buy in this case, a new window could thus take a different path.

  • OEM Windows 7 not genuine.

Why my got OEM Windows 7 windows isn't genuine watermark?

    Your windows is not genuine.

You use a key OEM SLP to win 7 which is installed at the factory. Date of your bios, 20/06/2007 is two years before the release of windows 7 this has not happened.
You will need to purchase a windows 7 or go back to the windows, your computer comes with.

OEM SLP: This key comes pre-installed in Windows, when it comes to the factory. This key is designed to work with the special instructions isn't on the hardware of this manufacturer. Then, when Windows was installed using the OEM SLP (in factory) Windows 7 key leans on the motherboard and he sees special instructions and activates. (that's why you had no need to turn on your computer after you brought it home)
