  Even if you * know * you just did this - that in that order...

  Check your time zone and time are correct.

  Search for malware:

  Download, install, execute, update and perform analyses complete system with the two following applications:

  • MalwareBytes (FREE)
  • SuperAntiSpyware (FREE)

  Remove anything they find. Reboot when necessary. (You can uninstall one or both when finished.)

  Search online with eSet Online Scanner.

  Reset.

  Now reset your Windows with this FixIt components update:

  Reset.

  Try to get updates.

  If it still does not work, try this...

  1. Start an elevated command prompt.
  2. Run the following commands pressing on enter after each line:
     
     net stop wuauserv
     CD %SystemRoot%\System32

     net start wuauserv

  3. Reset
  4. Try to reinstall updates

  * Important * When you do this, the following problems occur:

  • When you remove the Software Distribution folder, your download history is deleted.
  • If you currently receive updates from Microsoft Update and Windows Update, you will need to reselect this option from the Windows Update Web site.

  
  * Note * if the problem is resolved and you can successfully download and install the updates, you can delete the directory SoftwareDistribution.old to recover disk space.

  Did you look in Event Viewer?

• After 3 days on Adobe support my cloud application still will not work. Data error is install failed!

  I got creative cloud for more than a month now and have not been able to get the thing to work. I spent about 2 and a half days on technical support. What kind of behavior do you?  You mentioned install it in Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 it was on two separate computers or did you upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 8.1?

• I uninstalled MsE and reinstalled to hopefully solve a problem. Now it doesn't let me turn it on. I hit the "Activate" button, but she disappears for a while and still will not light.

  I have win xp... .i get an error message and when I run a scan it shuts down before the end of the quick scan.  I uninstalled my MSE and reinstalled in an attempt to correct some of the problem.  now, when I pull up to my it says that it is not enabled...   This problem may occur if there is a 3rd party software security installed or if the MOUSE is not installed correctly or due to an infection if the MSE files are corrupt.

  I don't know much about this sort of thing, so he thought better to include everything I could. At first, I tried to reload Vista, but it just opened the same screen, so found the vista disc that came with the laptop and it is stuck in. I ran sytem repair and system restore and both have had no effect.

  After installing above ISO burning software, right click on the Knoppix ISO file > copy the Image to a CD.

  Knoppix is not installed on your PC; use only the resources of your PC, RAM, graphics etc.

  Change the boot order in YOUR computer/laptop to the CD/DVD Drive 1^st in the boot order.

  Plug a Flash Drive/Memory Stick, BOOT with the Live CD, and you should be able to read the hard drive.

  When the desktop loads, you will see at least two drive hard icons on the desktop (one for your hard drive) and one for the USB key.

  Click on the icons of hard drive to open and to understand which drive is which.

  Click the icon for the USB drive and click on "Actions > Change the read/write mode" so you can write to disk (it is read-only by default for security reasons).

  Now to find the files you want to back up, just drag and drop them on the USB. When you're done, shut down the system and remove the USB key.
