  • Cannot provide assistance remotely from Vista to XP

I have issues tring to provide assistance to my parent's PC remotely. I read a lot of post here and tried many of them. But I still have the same problem. Can any expert give me more tips?

    Here's what we have:

1 mine is Windows Vista and the other is Windows XP.

    2. we both use the version of Windows Live Messenger 2009.

    3. at both ends, we checked the Panel options to allow remote assistance.

    4. of his side doesn't have a router and the PC is connected directly via the ADSL modem. Mine has a router and I tried the two DMZ and port forwarding for 3389.

    Problem:

He has estabilised the call video Messenger with me. Then he clicked on the "Remote Assistance" in the menu of the Live Messenger chat window. I received the invitation in my chat box and accepted. Then he saw a message appearing in his suggeting of chat window that I had accepted his invitation.  From there, nothing happened on both sides. We waited awhile and nothing happened at all. No error, no nothing.

Can any expert give some suggestions?

    Hello

I'm not sure but I think if you go through the Messenger, you need to enable uPnP on the router because it uses multiple ports.

If you can't make it work, tell the other side to download and run Team Viewer, and do you the same thing it is quite easy to use.

Since installing FP10, I can't do audio during video playback on YouTube. I am running Vista with SP2 and IE on a HP laptop. Flash 0 on my XP Desktop audio plays fine, so I think it's a setting on my laptop that needs to be changed to what it was before the upgrade to FP10... of ideas please? I uninstalled and reinstalled him FP10 according to the other messages on this forum, but without success.

    I also feel that

    [edit]

My problem was that I was not getting audio flash at all, including local publishes out of the IDE.  The problem was that he had stopped my Windows Audio service (for some reason any).

    To check:

(Classic view): start > settings > Control Panel > administrative tools > Services >

(not classic): computer (right click) > manage > Services and Applications > services >

(one, above it, then): [scroll down to "Windows Audio"] > right click 'properties', tab general, set the startup type to manual (in the menu drop-down), and then click the Start button, on the next line.

  • Toshiba compatible E-mouse on vista and seven?

Hi, I want to ask if the Toshiba E-Mouse (PX1215E-2NAC) is compatible on vista pro 64-bit, vista 32, 32-bit Windows 7 and windows 7 64-bit?
    Is there a driver?
    Thx for the answer.

Hmm, I searched a bit on the internet and it seems that this PX1215E-2NAC E-mouse is compatible with Win 2000 and Win XP.
Unfortunately I didn't find the drivers on the European driver Toshiba for E-Mouse page

  • Vista and Seven send incorrect credentials via a VPN tunnel

My working samba server is file sharing in the 3 scenarios:

1 serving on local network (at work), no problem.
2 serving OpenVPN tunnel when the client is connected to his home LAN (throw a nat-router connected to a modem broadband - ADSL or cable modem), no problem.
3 portion OpenVPN tunnel when the client is connected using a modem mobile broadband (Huawei), clients can see the server and actions, but can only connect to the public all others get a refused connection dialog box.

I've isolated the problem: when connecting throws the 3G modem, the user name is sent to the samba server is the user name required by the ISP to make the connection mobile broadband and not the account user name.
I tried with windows firewall enabled, disabled, as well as with zonealarm, but the problem persists.
Excellent work of all the other network protocols: tcp, http, ftp, etc.
I have observed that windows has always defined the openvpn as a public network. Never asking the network location dialog box pop ups.

Please advice will have my gratitude. Thank you.

Ok. Yesterday, I create another account (another user to the server) in my machine and to my surprise the problem disappeared (in this account in my account, the problem persists). So I checked my setup on the server was correct. Also, I compared several registry keys that contain references of connection between the two accounts, and found no difference. Today, I solved the problem of making a backup of all my files, delete my account and files and recreate my account on vista.
However I know what else could be done, a decent solution.

  • Windows unsolicited assistance remotely (msra.exe /offera) 7 to windows 7

    Hello

I used group policy to enable Remote Assistance unsolicited to the computers in the domain and set the Windows Firewall to allow Remote Assistance.

Connected to a computer in the domain, in lusrmgr.msc I can see that the appropriate groups are added to the group to offer Assistance remotely and can telnet 'computer name' 135 to this computer in domain - group policy was applied correctly. All PCs are fully up-to-date with Windows Update.

When I launch msra.exe /offera the computer in the domain that I confirmed * should * work I get:

(There was a problem of interaction with the 833E4010-AFF7-4AC3-AAC2-9F24C1457BCE COM object.  An outdated version can be installed, or the component may not be installed at all).

It comes to eventvwr.msc in the computer at the opening of the remote assistance session.

    How can I solve this?

    Thank you

  • Where can I download an evaluation version of Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7?

Hi, I'm doing a Comp TIA certification course has + and my teacher said he wants to make us a copy of Windows XP, Vista and Seven evaluation. Now the problem is that I don't know exactly what he means by that, but I guess he means a trial version. Could someone send me a link for the download and evaluation of operating these systems copy and tell me whether it is a trial version it wants, I tried searching Google for copies of evaluation of these systems but not had any luck with Vista and XP that I only got a trial version of Windows 7 Enterprise.

As mentioned, the trial version only of Windows that is available is the Windows 7 Enterprise 90-day trial and testing of Windows Server 2008 R2.

I have a Windows Server 2003 180 days trial version, but it came with my system administrator Guide book.

I also have a 60 day trial of Windows XP Professional version, but it came with a bunch of software eval when Microsoft was the promotion of Windows Server System, it is quite rare to come across her, 9 years ago.

Vista did a test of the company in 2006.

When I made CompTia A + my instructor provided these resources for me.

The best way, you can get these is to use existing commercial discs.

Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 3 requires no activation required, nor does Windows Vista. Another option is to invest in a TechNet standard.

    Hey, MKKhan.

I see that you are having a problem Uninstall HP support Assistant, and during the uninstallation you get the message "Error 1316.

The 1316 error is a common error message when you try to reinstall/upgrade to level a software (such as iTunes, etc.)

Follow this document and go to the bottom of the page and run the fix they have posted which should look like this.

Run this fix, it will ask you what type of program you are trying to uninstall. After you uninstall it through the fix, you can go ahead and install the wizard help again.

Be sure and go to the HP website and download the current HPSA from there.

This is a complete scam.  You can report it to your local police.

For your own protection, you should:
    • Change your passwords on email accounts, accounts financial and sensitive to which accounts you access online from this PC.  RIGHT NOW!
    • Run a full scan of your PC using your antivirus application...    Also download and run a full scan with Malwarebytes Anti-malware (free edition).  MBAM is a very good solution in addition to your primary backup antivirus/antimalware application.
    • I would also go here: https://www.microsoft.com/security/portal/Shared/Help.aspx and follow the advice of "I think that my PC is infected", including potentially calls MS help.
    • Above all, do not delay!  If you have any concerns about the handling of it, then disconnect your computer from the internet and call MS before anything else.
