with special characters like © or.

Could you give us a solution please?

Kind regards

Simona Vita

Hi SimonaVita,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I see you when you print word documents, you get special characters on the impressions of your HP Officejet 2620. I have a few questions for you:

1. What is your operating system?

2. what program are you printing, is a specific program, or any when you print?

3. How do you have the printer connected?

I would like that run you HP print and scan doctor- it was designed by HP to offer users the features and troubleshooting problem needed to solve many common problems experienced with HP print and scan the products related to Windows computers.

Please reply back with the result and the information requested.

Thank you

  • Special characters in my wpa password can be introduced to officejet J4680c

I have an officejet j4680c all-in-one, but I don't have a computer at the moment so I use my wireless printer using the application mobile ePrint. Recently, I changed the password wpa, but it includes a dollar sign. When I entered that code is there something I'm missing to this character? Or do I have to change my password again?

The sign $ is not one of the special characters available for the all-in-one Officejet J4680. To get this connected device you will need to change this password again to include the characters available on the printer.

    Good luck.

    Hi @JSvWyk,

Am I assume it looks something like this?

You may need to change the language of your operating system. Research I've done, it seems that some languages, such as English (United Kingdom), cause this hiccup. Please check or change your language to English ( States- United).

To check or change your current settings, go to control panel and select clock, language and region, and then select change regions. On the Format tab, select English (United States). On the location tab you have the United States in the current location of falling down and then select apply.

Please let me know if I indeed understood the question correctly, and if the problem is now resolved. Thank you.

  • All-in-one HP Officejet 2620: A5 format missing in the all-in-one printer HP Officejet 2620

I use a HP Officejet 2620 all-in-one printer and I need to print some documents using paper size A5 format but not miss the formats available on the A5 format list box.
I want to know if there is a way to define this format.

    Hi lucausa75,

    You are welcome!

    To answer your questions:

I would recommend the HP Deskjet 990c driver, as it supports printing A5. When you change to this driver it can restrict your printer to print only as the HP Deskjet 990c is a printer function only. In order to restore the features of scanning, etc... You may need to return to the driver HP Officejet 2620. But it is possible that scanning, etc. may continue to work with the original drivers as well. The only way to know for sure is to try it and test it.

  • Special characters on Custom XSLT model cause error when printing PDF

    Hello

    Environment:

    • Request Express 4.2.5.00.08
    • Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.4.0
    • WebLogic Server Version 10.3.6.0
    • REST (ADR) 2.0.10.289.08.09 Oracle data services
    • Altova StyleVision Enterprise Edition 2016 sp1 version

I created a presentation of the State using Altova StyleVision and XSLT version 1.0. So that the model works, I had to manually remove several special characters in the generated .xslt file; some of them added automatically by the software (for example & #160; and & #x200B ;) and others were part of my model (p. ex. & amp;).)

After producing a work plan, I decided to put back the original ampersand (&) I removed the template of the header which is a plain text:

    <xsl:text>A & B</xsl:text>

However, I have tried many solutions I found on the web and all of them produce an invalid PDF. Here are some of the approaches that I tried and none of them worked:

    <xsl:text>A & B</xsl:text>
    <xsl:text>A <![CDATA[&]]> B</xsl:text>
    <xsl:text disable-output-escaping="yes">A & B</xsl:text>
    <xsl:text>A & B</xsl:text>

Does anyone have an idea or a suggestion to solve this problem?

    Thank you

    Erick

The APEX motor is making a number of substitutions with the layout of integrated report. Depending on how you generate your PDF documents - and I guess you try this via the printing API, you must perform some of them in your own code, try the following, hope it solves your problem:

    '%' => '%25'

    '<' ==""> ' % 26lt;

    ' > ' => ' % 26gt;

    '&' => ' % 26amp;

  • Printing with special characters of APEX

    Hi all

Thanks for any help. I don't know if this is the right place to put this but I work in the APEX.

    I use APEX 4.2.

I am creating a report of data within the Apex. I created my template rtf in word. The question is one of the elements contains data that has special characters such as (& :,@,()) in the field and when I try to run the query from the rtf model gives me an error.)

Is there a way to escape all the characters if I can put the data. When I remove the material the report works very well and characters that are in the field are the only problem I see.

    Thank you.

    Hi Mary,

Look at the apex api reference apex_escape FRO the ways you can escape to date.

  • Problem of L50 - B satellite with special characters in country

I recently bought the laptop SATELLITE L50 - B - 17 c and have a problem with special characters from countries in windows 7.

In Polish, key key programmer combination right alt and the keys 'z', 'x', and 'c' should give the Polish special characters.

Unfortunately this does not work for these three keys, however works other keys in Polish characters as 'l', 'n', 'a', a ' or 'e '. I suspect that this may be linked to the special key Fn,.

However turning or disable in the BIOS did not help. Maybe there should be a driver of special keyboard for windows 7, but I have not found it :(

    {quote} I recently bought the laptop SATELLITE L50 - B - 17 c and have a problem with special characters from countries in windows 7. {quote}

The laptop has been presintalled and configured with the Win 8.1 System.
Have you noticed this problem with installation of Win 7 8.1 or after the victory?

If you have an external USB keyboard, I recommend you to check if the same problem would appear using the USB keyboard. In case the external USB keyboard would work correctly, the problem could be related to a defective internal keyboard

  • 5660 envy: Envy 5660, OfficeJet 8710 and 8720: they can print documents from a thumb drive USB connected?

ENVY 5660 e-all-in-one printer can print documents (for example, .doc files) from a USB connected to its USB port?

Similarly, can the Pro OfficeJet 8710 or 8720 print documents from a USB connected to its USB port?

    Thank you

    DaleBr

    Hi DaleBr,

Any printer PCL3 as the Officejet Pro 8710, 8720 support only Photos of pritning from a USB (JPEG and BMP), it cannot print the document files such as ir PDF DOCX to a thumbdriver, but only to a computer...

The HP Envy 5660 only support printing Photos from a device memory too, but only from SD card, there are not any USB port for a USB.

None of the models above can only print from a computer or a mobile device...

8730 Officejet Pro which is a postscript printer to print PDF, Word and Powerepoint support files directly from a USB (Latin characters), however it is a commercial product and cost more as such:

  • HP Officejet Pro 8000 Wireless: Unable to print labels on my HP Officejet Pro 8000 Wireless color inkjet printer

    Hello Forum,

I don't want to appear redundant, however, I always have the same problem, cannot print on different media (for example. Labels, Matt / glossy papers, etc.) other than plain white paper. As I said in my original post (below), I tried different settings, different programs, etc., without any result. The printer does that pass through without printing media, leaving the error / blinking yellow light.

I believe that this printer is able to manage different media other than paper white just to 'stick '. Again, I ask your help to solve this problem. It is and has been, very frustrating trying to overcome this restriction of printing!

    Thank you all!

    (Original post)

I can't get my HP Officejet Pro 8000 Wireless inkjet color printer to print CD / DVD labels. I have tried various printer / paper options but the printer just feeds the media (in this case 'Fellows' brand matte CD 2-top) then spits it right back with result error amber light flashing.

Printing has a sensor that determines if the paper is loaded and feeding properly into the printer. If you print on media that is colored or printed features we can confuse the sensor.

One thing to try - cut a strip of the sticky part of a post-it note maybe 1 "wide by 1/4". Attach it to the top left of the sheet of labels on the side to be printed, the long side on the short side of the paper. This will then put face down into the printer, with the band on the upper right of the tray paper. After printing, you can remove it and reuse it for the next page.

  • Special characters (keyboard Alt sequences) on an Aspire R14... How?

Hello. I recently bought an Acer Aspire R14

On my old desktop I used to play with special characters all the time, especially for the sharp symbol (ALT 130), but now I just can not understand how do on my Acer.

can you help me please? What's the trick?

    http://Tools.oratory.com/altcodes.html

    Thank you

    Stef.

If you are referring to, for example the number 1 next to the letter J, I have them; they are blue on my keyboard.

but Ms words 2016, if I wana write an e and alt ctl with blue numbers 1,3,0 (the normal number of white on top will do nothing) it is a popup window appears and it does not...

so for the web it's alt clt 1,3,0 blue, and for the words of Mrs is alt x like you said, or in the world, to insert, symbol, special characters...

    your link is a winner

    Thanks again man
