OfficeJet 4630 does not scan/copy

My 4630 prints well but when I scan (or copy) things I get a small image with vertical lines all the way down the entire page (not just the image).  I tried connecting direct wire and wireless - I'm getting the same problem.  Ran 'fix' software with no luck.

Thank you for your advice.

Vince

Hi NaplesVince,

Thanks for providing the screenshots.

Sorry, that did not help.

It looks like a hardware problem with the printer or the scanner bulb.

I recommend you call HP Tech Support to get help to see what other options are available to you.

Thank you.

  • OfficeJet 4630 does not print on the network

My printer print is no longer on a network connection, a USB connection. For example, when I try printer in MS Word, the menu of the printer displays "Unable connect", even though I'm perfectly connected to my printer. I've had this printer for about two months, and it has been the case for at least a month. I ran "HP print and scan doctor, and he tells me that there is a driver conflict, but whenever I reinstalled the driver and all software, he repeats the same error message. I also run the program of "troubleshooting HP Installation failure - network", but to no avail. My PC is connected to my router via an ethernet cable, and my printer is connected to my router via a wireless connection, note that I've never had this problem until recently. All reports that I printed state that there is no problem with the connection or the printer, the signal is excellent. I rebooted my router, I reinstalled, I restored default on my printer.

    Hello Adam_C,

Welcome to the HP Forums! I understand your concerns with your Officejet 4630. I noticed that you have made some necessary troubleshooting steps, and you tried to plug a USB cord to test the connection.

What is your operating system on your computer? Click here to read: Windows.

    Please follow these steps:

First of all, to follow this entire document from HP on "Can't find printer" Error Message appears on the computer for a wireless network Installation. This does not include the software to uninstall/reinstall.

If you get the same error after following all the steps in this document, please let me know.

Also, I would like to add a port on your computer to a wireless network:

    (1) go to devices and printers on your computer
    (2) right click on your printer
    (3) select printer properties
    (4) select the ports tab at the top
    5) click on add port, select Standard TCP/IP port, and then select new port
    (6) type your IP address of your printer, click Next, and then finish
    (7) click on apply, then OK
    (8) try to print a document

    Impatience on your part.

  • HP officejet 4630: HP officejet 4630 does not print

My printer is not printing. When I try to print now come but it dose not print. I tried to print from 2 computers and same problem. Also tried turing the printer works but the problem persists.

    Hi @MichalP,

Thanks for joining the Forums of HP Support for a solution to your printing problem.

I understand that you use a HP Officejet 4630 e-all-in-one printer with a computer Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan and the printer will not print even though it now says "Printing". I would like to help with that.

You mentioned that you tried a second computer and it did the same thing. The second computer is a Mac as well?

I would start by doing a Reset of the power on the printer. Maybe the printer is in an error state.

It looks like the image that you tried to load didn't download successfully so I'm not able to see what it was.

Please let me know if the power reset helped, or if you need further assistance. If you need to return, please indicate which operating system and uses the second computer.

In fact, if it helps you to find a solution, please click on the 'accept as Solution' and the 'thumbs up' buttons down below in this message.

  • OfficeJet 6310xi does not scan in Windows 7

I have an Officejet 6310xi on a home network.  Works very well on all the machines, with the exception of my new spiffy office.  Windows 7 family premium, completely updated, using the latest version of the HP solution for 64 bit Win7 Center.

At issue: scan seems to work almost perfectly, completely, as expected, completely past the preview & finish. After pressing the finish, there is a pop up window that says it saves the file, the progress bar goes 2/3 of the way across, then zone blinks away and I'm back to the solution Center window.  When I go to the target location, there is no file.

I did all the obvious things that I have and HP help can think - uninstall / reinstall, make sure that the firewall (Norton 360) allows all programs hp, etc.   I'm not looking for the right place for the files.  At the present time, he is trying to save to my analysis, but I tried other paths of access to record in, no luck.

    Any suggestions?

    Other news-

This computer and the printer are connected to the router by ethernet.  Other Win XP computers at home are wireless.  They work very well.  In fact, I keep a laptop old dying just so that I can scan to it (a PITA).

The only feature that I see on the Win7 machine, other than the missing files, is that the Solution Center appears when I load a document.  It appear on other (Win XP machines).

I realize there are problems w / Vista scan with faculties communication weakened through the well-known HP Solution Center.  I'm not aware of any known issues like this in Win7.

    Hello!

After download copy the file to this location "C:\Program Files \Digital Imaging\bin" If you use windows7 32 bit but if you use windows7 64 bit then copy it to this location "C:\Program Files (x 86) \HP \Digital Imaging\bin.

    Good luck!

    Hello

First, make sure you have the latest firmware installed as follows:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/product/HP-OfficeJet-Pro-8600-plus-e-all-in-one-printer-series---N911/4322915/model/4323647/document/c02919168/

    Then, try the following:

    1. Of the printer, click on the right arrow / left and press the ion of the configuration of the printer.
    2. Select Network Configuration.
    3. Select direct Wireless Configuration.
    4. Ensure the Direct wireless is enabled and take one step of his password if such a value.
    5. Click on the WiFi icon from your Mac and connect to the SSID 8600 spirit "live / Print" in its name.
    6. Go to System Preferences > print and scan and click on the plus sign to add the printer - you see it listed as Hello via the direct wireless connection?

Please let me know the results, if it not listed as Hello with Direct wireless, which clearly show that the new router interrupts the multicast connection, this is the same as the connection through a different router.

On your screenshot, it seems that your router do not transfer packets to multicast to the need...

  • HP Officejet 4630 does not print color

I am trying to print photos colors from my mac to my wireless printer. The computer and the printer register that there is a color ink cartridge in the printer, but it will just print colored picures. I downloaded and redownloaded the driver, y at - there a step I'm missing?

I'm glad to hear that it is not the printer @clairej7.

It probably has something to do with the driver, or the CUPS on the computer.

CUPS consists of a print spooler and Scheduler, a filter system that converts the print data in a format that the printer will understand and a back-end system that sends this data to the print device. CUPS uses the IPP (Internet Printing) Protocol as a basis for the management of the work of printing and queues. - Source

Whatever it is, to solve this problem, I suspect that the best approach is to reset the printing system, repair disk permissions, add the printer using the driver and try to print again.

    Reset the printing system

    1. Click on the Apple icon ( ), then click on System Preferences.

My All-in-one HP Officejet Pro L7580 scanner does not scan the entire page.

Regardless of where to send... Word, Mail, photos... all I get is about 3 inches of column of the entire page.

What can I do to remedy this?

IF the copy works perfectly. Try to open the HP Solution Center and find the settings > scan settings > scan document or scan picture settings.

Search for advance settings or more and are looking for an option on the digitization of multiple files or just the entire page or something to that effect. The software may have missed in the analysis just a part of it. You can check the settings where you can have a preview of the scanned document and find the broken line around the scanned image, you need to move, it will scan what's inside the broken line.
