OfficeJet 6700 and ink cartridges

About 4 months ago, I installed all the new print cartridges (932 black and 933 magenta, cyan and yellow.)  I put my settings to print in grayscale in black ink only and the quality project.  I did all my impression elsewhere and never used the color.  Yesterday, I received alert printer that my magenta cartridge is empty.  I checked all my cartridges and found that my black was about 25% full, magenta was empty and the yellow and cyan are about 23% full.  Why is the printer using all of the color ink cartridges even though I have never changed the parameters of levels of grey, black ink only?

Thank you for the information.  However, it is strange that he uses more color ink than black ink during the interview, and I say this because I do all my printing in black ink only, gray levels draft quality.  I'll keep this in mind when the time comes to replace the printer that I have no color.

  • Pre sale question: Officejet Pro X476dw - ink cartridges

    Hello

I have a couple of pre sale question on the Officejet Pro X476dw - I hope you can help me with.

I live in Denmark (EU) and in the book loads, it says that it comes with startup ink cartridges (translated from Danish). What these specifications of starter ink contains less ink than normal cartridges don't - if so - no idea how many pages they can produce before they empty?

As to the number of products: it says CN461A - but to some websites, it is called CN461A #A80 - is this the same printer? And what does the #A80?

The ink cartridges have an expiration date. What happens after that date: the printer will require new cartridges before it will print anything if it can damage the printer to use ink after the expiry date - or what the print quality is affected?

Q: it comes with startup ink (translated from Danish). These start ink specifications contains less ink than normal cartridges only

A: Yes.  It's half in full by a quarter from a new normal cartridge.  Pagecounts are all depends on a lot and what you print.

Q: it says CN461A - but to some websites, it is called CN461A #A80

A: the extra #A80 is probably a regional identifier.  Its basically the same printer but built with some regulation is necessary for your region as energy consumption.

Q: the ink cartridges have an expiration date. What happens after that date

A: the ink are deteriorating and are more likely to plug in your print heads and contacts.

Q: the printer will require new cartridges before it will print anything

A: not necessarily, but it is advisable to listen to your printers of warning messages

Q: can the printer to be used after the expiry date of the ink

R: damage, maybe not the best term.  It would cause clogs in the ink system that will require additional support.  When the hooves can not be erased then the printer may need to be replaced.

Q: or what the quality of the print is affected?

R: technically Yes, but the quality will be not noticeable in most cases with an outdated cartridge.  The ink won't be able to apply paper and take a nice full round, resulting in a glance more stained on a microsopic level.  Your concern should be on the maintenance of the equipment.

  • How can I find unused since my Officejet Pro 8500 ink cartridges?

My Officejet Pro 8500 had a leak of ink all over the floor and my office yesterday morning when I first turned on.  When I opened the top to check the printheads, I discovered all ink inside the printer.  I think we just need recycling.  My problem: I have 5 UN-opened of HP #940 ink cartridges.  I would return to HP and get the replacement cartridges for our different printer, but do not have how to find out if this is possible.

  • OfficeJet Pro K850 - ink cartridge does not print

My K850 printer is not printing cyan. According to the Toolbox of the K850, cartridge series cyan was 75%, and the health of the print head has been fair. The cyan cartridge was beyond its expiration date I replaced it. The new cartridge does not better than the old cartridge print. Before I spend another $40.00 + did someone has something to suggest?

Although the cleaning of the print head has helped a little, it did not help, so I bought a new cyan print head. When I installed the new print head, the printer automatically aligned to the printhead and now cyan works very well. Unfortunately, the alignment process pointed out flaws in magenta and Yellow Printhead. Now everytime that I print anything the printer goes through a continuous systematic alignment printhead to try to correct the magenta and Yellow Printhead, waste of paper and ink, until I cancel all print jobs. New cleaning of the printheads and the contacts did not help. In the end, no matter what is the status of print head in the tool box, replacing the print heads is the only solution that worked.

  • Officejet Pro 8600 ink cartridge error

one or more cartridges seem to be damaged K.  Message appeared after replacing the exhausted original install black cartridge.  I replaced the cartridge to spare with a new cartridge, nothing helps.  I cleaned the contacts and even replaced all the original cartridges installation, once again nothing is.  This is a wireless printer and PC using a windows 7 Home premium OS.  It seems that a printer problem not connected to a PC or a BONE.  It's the HP printer 2nd I have who has the same problem.  All suggestions except substitute the printer?

@ REBjr.  -I understand that you are getting the error message on the printer that is related to the print cartridges.  Are you using genuine HP unfilled ink in the printer? I would like to start by doing a hard reset of the product to try to put the printer back into a known working state and try to clear the error message before replacing parts.  Here is a document that provides the steps for the hard reset.  Also, is there residue on the black cartridge?  If so, I would look at this link here. It aims to get a printer ink cartridge error message when you try to install a new black cartridge in the machine. I hope this helps.

  • OfficeJet 4620: Black ink cartridge not working not

My printer was out of ink, and I installed the ink cartridges brand new HP-bought a few weeks ago. The type of ink is 564 Xl. The problem is that all of the color ink prints well, but black, we do not print well. When I use 'Best' option printing, the print out comes out like an old carbon copy (light grey and blurry). When I use the 'project' print quality, nothing prints at all. The printer recognizes that there is ink in the cartridge, but something is happening which is obstructing the way ink is printing.

  • OfficeJet 6700 Premium: HP Officejet 6700, black ink fades

I had my bonus of 6700 Officejet for over a year, so it's just more under warranty. About 3 days ago, out of the blue, the black ink started fading out if I printed a page with a lot on it. It does the same thing if I copy something. (I'm only printing in black). It acts as the ink runs not to the head, or heads are partially blocked upward. It's a new cartridge, but it worked when I first got him. I cleaned and aligned the head several times, without success. Thing I can do short of buying a new printer?

In the paper here troubleshooting steps can help solve the black print is not correctly on your Officejet printer 6700.

  • 6700 premium ink cartridges

I read a number of the messages regadring 6700 Premium does not print BLACK only when color cartridges is 'exhausted '.

First of all, the ink monitor States ' * estimate only.» Real ink levels may vary. "so they HP is intentionally screwing the consumer.

Second, the device is supposed to print in BLACK only when the default driver settings are defined as follows:

    > Characteristics of the printer

    > Print Grascale

    > Black ink only

    and

    > Print all text as black

    > Enable

    only it doesn't.

Even when black printing only on a base-print job as indicated above, the decrements of depleted state ink color.

My conclusion: HP has designed their printing and utility of the device to report the cartridges depleted when they are in fact not.

My opinion is that it is time for a class of Actionlawsuit to bring to justice those thieves!

  • HP Officejet 6700 premium: ink black only option officejet 6700 premium

I didn't know that my ink was low and are short of cyan and yellow. Y at - it an option to print only black ink until I am able to buy more ink color?

Some printers allow printing mode 'reserve', which means using a cartridge. While I don't know if your printer has this mode, you can check by simply removing the cartridge that you want to keep printing.

If the Billboard in front of said something on reserve Mode, then you have luck. Please let me know if it helps.

  • How to take the printer ink cartridges OfficeJet 6700 cart

I have a printer of HP all-in-one OfficeJet 6700.  When I inserted a new cartridge, there was a false message that says the cartridge was exhausted and cannot print. I tried 3 times with 3 new cartridges with the same result, so I called HP Support. They sent me another printer parts and missing parts had to come from my old printer.  I need to remove the old printer ink cartridges carriage and install it in the HP an Envoy.  I can't seem to understand and am afraid to break if I push or pull to hard.  Does anyone know how to do this?

HP technicians two first talked on the phone told me there was a lock on the side to get (that I never found).  The third stopped in the middle of our conversation, he looked up and said that HP 6700 printer ink cartridges carriage is not removable.  Thanks for your advice and I hope that this information might help someone else. - Paw - Paw
