OfficeJet J6480 eprint problem

I had downloaded and printed successfully using eprint on my iPad to my Officejet 6480 3.  However, I've recently updated to IOS 6 and now when I try to print the button "print" does not become active.  My printer appears and there is a green light next to it, but no go.  Please notify.

There was an update for the HP ePrint as app released today which adds support for iOS6. Go ahead and the upgrade and everything should continue to work as before. I would like to know if it works for you.

I'm having a problem with my printer HP all-in-one officejet j6480 what it prints very slow

HI - it prints slowly all applications or only some of them?  In both cases, you can try following the steps described in this document.

  • HP Solution Center no longer works after update of HP Officejet J6480

HP will provide an update to fix this problem?  If anyone has had the same problem (if so, how fixed?)?

HP has pushed down the updates on a week earlier for my HP Pavilion Elite e9270f running Windows 7 64 bit home and domestic all-in-one Officejet J6480 which are connected wirelessly via my network.  HP Solution Center had worked for several years until then, but now can no longer connect to the J6480 with all the features.  Devices and printers in Control Panel displays the connection.  HP HPHNDU.exe utility displays the connection.  Print from works of MS Office products as ok HP Solution Center no longer works.  I can't scan documents to the PC (that it is pulled by the PC or pushed by the J6480).  I used http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02266743 instructions and the software of HP Officejet and Driver Removal Utility OJJ6400_Scrubber_13.exe to remove all aspects of the printer and the software.  Then reinstall them using (with HP printer install wizard HPPIW.exe), but the new installation also fails linking the center of solutions HP (printing still MS Office programs).  According to me, it is a plague of HP inflicted that should have a solution from HP.  FG 120201

  • HP Office Jet J6480: high load or work around the Board in an HP Officejet J6480

My HP Officejet j6480 isn't all recognize the high bypass tray of the page. I would like to know how to do so that he can feed on this top. So are there specific instructions to put a sheet of labels badge or business card labels in this sandbox?

I tried to load sheets of labels into the tray of ordinary inside and crunched printer just to the top of the label.

    Hello @klsurmi,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand that you are having problems loading labels in HP Officejet J6480 all-in-one printer. I would like to help you today with this problem to feed paper. On this particular model of printer paper for printing a single sandbox there. It is the main tray at the bottom of the printer. The 'top' I believe you are talking is only used for faxing, copying or scanning automatic document feeder. Below, I will give instructions for properly loading paper in the tray of your product. Once you have confirmed that your labels are properly loaded we will test print in order to confirm if the problem is resolved.

    Step 1: Load the paper:

    1. lift the output tray.

    2. Insert the paper with the side to be printed down along the right side of the status bar. Make sure the stack of paper is aligned with the right and rear of the tray edges, and the height does not exceed the line marking in the status bar.

    3. slide the paper in the tray to fit the paper size you have loaded.

    4. lower the output tray and pull out the tray extension.

    -Source

    • For the labels, you can load up to 100 sheets of labels in the paper tray at the same time.

Once the labels have been loaded properly, please print a test to confirm if the paper feed problem has been resolved. If the problem persists please let me know that the size and weight of the paper label is that you use.

Please reply to this message with the result of your troubleshooting. Good luck!

    Hey @extremelyP,

The 'Send Fax' screen was to appear, it doesn't appear that you have added the driver for Deskjet replacing portion of your printer Fax. Normally, under devices and printers, you will have two copies of your printer. The first example would be the real printer driver. The second copy would be the Fax from your computer's fax driver part. In saying this, I will just cancel you it that we just finished and test print. If the printing problem persists, we will add the driver replacing again and things must be a lot smoother.

    Step 1: Remove the driver:

    1. Open the display Start by selecting the Windows icon at the bottom left of your computer screen or by selecting the Windows key on the bottom right of your keyboard to the left of the Ctrl key
    2. On the start screen, type programs and features
    3. Click on programs and features to launch the tool.
    4. Under programs and features scroll to the bottom of the list and are looking for your HP Officejet. If you see your printer click on it and choose Uninstall.
    5. Please follow the prompts on the screen to complete the uninstallation. Once the uninstall is complete please close programs and features
    6. Then, please reopen the Start screen. This time type devices and printers. Click on devices and printers to the start
    7. In the file devices and printers, if you see your HP Officejet still listed, please, right click top and select "remove device' or 'Remove'.
    8. Once the device HP Officejet was deleted please click left once on any device used to indicate the heading Printers and fax machines . You just want to highlight the device
    9. Then click on the print server properties at the top
    10. Under the print server properties, click the drivers tab
    11. If you see your HP Officejet driver showing under the list please click on it. Then, click Remove. Click remove the pilot from the box pop up
    12. Click OK
    13. On the print server properties window, click apply and OK
    14. Close Devices and printers

    Step 2: Install the Driver:

Please click here to download and install the driver package for your printer. Once your HP Officejet is reinstalled successfully please test printing. If the printing problem persists, we will still add the other pilot.

Step 3: Adding a driver replacing:

    1. Open the display Start by selecting the Windows icon at the bottom left of your computer screen or by selecting the Windows key on the bottom right of your keyboard to the left of the Ctrl key
    2. On the start screen, type devices and printers. Click on devices and printers to the start.
    3. In the devices and printers folder right click on your HP Officejet J6480 (not the Fax version)

  • Left click on printer properties
  • Left click on the Advanced tab
  • Left-click on new driver
  • When the new driver window just press 'Next' until you see a list of manufacturers on the left and a list of Printers on the right.
  • Select HP as the manufacturer on the left
  • DeskJet 6980 select the printer on the right. Choose HP . If Deskjet 6980 does appear to only select "Windows Update" at the bottom left and once the update is completed, you will be able to select Deskjet 6980.
  • After selecting Deskjet 6980 hit Next to complete the wizard driver new
  • Under the printer properties window, select "Apply", but don't hit not OK
  • Select the general tab
  • Rename your HP Officejet J6480 printer
  • Click OK
  • Then, right click on your HP Officejet again and select printer properties
  • Click the device settings tab
  • Under Installation Options click on the drop down menu "unit duplex (for printing on 2 sides)" and replace the "installed".
  • Once the settings have been adjusted click apply and OK
  • Once the other pilot has been added successfully, please test print to see if the problem is now resolved.

Please let me know if this procedure works for you. Good luck!

  • OfficeJet J6480 continue to feed the blank sheets after the last page of the print document then blocks.

When you print a document on my OfficeJet J6480, once the last page printed, the cradle of the cartridge moves back several times, then one or two white sheets feed through the printer. Sheets then another feeds and jams, requiring the duplexer to be deleted to clear the jam. This happens on 95% of the print jobs sent to the printer.

    Windows XP SP3

Unfortunately, the troubleshooting steps a false paper jam and find a real fundamentally the same.
I included a link to a document that is for a paper jam error. However, I'm sure you did 1st two solutions and if you please go above them, I want you to try, is the cleaning of the rollers and the duplexer and reset the products and checking the firmware to ensure that it is up-to-date. These solutions are listed in the order and you can find instructions step by step in this link for each step. Reset will be particularly important because it is one of the most effective tools to correct the problems of material with a printer. • Officejet J6480 carriage jams when printing wirelessly via the plugin from HP printing service

I try to print on my printer OfficeJet J6480 HP all-in-one to my Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 tablet that runs Android 4.4 Wireless using the "HP Print Service Plugin on the tablet.

    Measures already taken;

Sucessfully downloaded/installed the Service HP Print on shelf Plugin

Radio wireless to the printer and correctly configured to communicate with the router wirelessly activated successfully.

    Problem:

When you try to print something from the tablet to the wireless printer, the printer is trying to perform the print operation (flow paper in the printer from paper tray, shows 'Printing' on the printer screen), but then never made a real impression and gets a 'Transport Jam' indication on the printer screen.

When this occurs above, I opened the hood top, checked for jammed paper in the paper path (Nothing), did tension of printer many times, cycle of fact alignments cleanings and cartridge many times, changed the paper to different types of paper.

None of these actions corrected the problem...

I'll also add that when you perform the steps of printing with the radio wireless on off the printer and the cable connected to the printer, the printer functions normally when you print from my pc applications - no traffic jams. Also, the printer works normally when you perform a function 'copy' locally from the printer control panel - not roadways of jams.

I thought maybe an update of the firmware to the printer could solve this problem - ideas about this being a likely solution?

BTW - how you normally clear / would correct a cart-jam regardless of printing wirelessly or through an ethernet cable?

If the firmware update is not a solution, any comment on what could be the cause of the problem?

If an update is available, could you tell me how to do the upgrade and where can I download it from?

Thanks for all your comments... Denny

    E - rog,

Two things I wanted to first of all thank you a lot for the response to my original message concerning the problem of printing wirelessly to my printer HP J6480 of the Tablet, Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 via the Plugin of Service HP Print.

Secondly, I wanted to aplogize for the very long delay in responding to your... I had some health problems with a family member who prevented me to try your suggestions to the problem.

I am pleased to report that I managed to solve the problem... I am now able to print to the printer of the tablet.

A little history on the fix...

I tried to download and install the update of the firmware from the link you provided, while having the printer connected to the PC (Windows) computer via a USB connection, as you suggest. (It was initially connected through my home network, so I had to first uninstall, then reinstall via USB connection). When you try to install the downloaded firmware it failed, even after several attempts to re-downloading/reinstalling.

Instead, I uninstalled the printer again, reinstalled over the home network, downloaded the update of the firmware directly from the HP site by locating the printer model, then the firmware. This time the firmware successfully installed (was able to view the progress of installation of the firmware in the display on the front panel of the printer). Make the installation of the firmware with the printer installed on the network domestic (instead fo via USB), the installation process allowed me to search for the printer on the network - it found it successfully and successfully installed the firmware.

After this successful firmware installation and turn on the wireless radio on the printer (via the button on the front panel), I was able to print successfully from the tablet... YES!

Needless to say, there is no carriage jam messages as before... and I did not try your other suggestions to go to the HP article on carriage jam error States/solutions.

I am really gratefull for your response/suggestions...fixing this problem did the usefulness of my tablet to increase dramatically to have the ability to print... cudos to you for your efforts on this forum and a big "thumbs up" for your records.

    Denny

  • OfficeJet j6480 flashing, won't print, will not be closed

OfficeJet J6480 is stuck on the stop, but it never does. If I hold the power button down a notice comes up saying "power save mode: completely stop." I can't turn it off, and the statement said never disconnect if the unit is plugged. I removed from the list of printers and reinstalled. Manual does not recognize problem. The printer says window: network host "HP419624local is busy, try again in 20 seconds... printer busy.

HP customer service does not care and does not respond. Either I have to solve the problem or throw old printer for five months. Anyone can save him for me?

    Janet,

First of all, the printer is not designed to be turned on and off remotely.

Secondly, if you would like to try an experiment for me, we can get to the bottom of this:

Stop all your computers before you try to stop the printer using the power button.

  • Restore the ability to fax for HP OfficeJet J6480 Cougar (or Lion)

Once he was once, in a very beautiful land ruled by snow leopards, I had my HP OfficeJet J6480 installed twice - a queue as a printer and a queue by fax.  I rarely used the fax, and somewhere along the line between SL and Lion Mountain Lion, the queue were lost or thrown away (probably in a printer purge when I had printing problems).  Now I would like to resume until fax feature of driver under Mountain Lion (preferably) Although a Lion-only solution would also be allowed (the backup computer is still running Lion).

Support Apple had me to connect via USB, I could see the printer as a 'multipurpose device', he added this way, but it shows still only printing/scanning tabs when I have this selected queue.  No Fax tab.

Is it possible to find the fax feature it at the wheel of one of these Mac?

    Hi UncaredFor,

I would try to help you with a happy ending for your HP fairy tale.

First of all, I would like to know if you have already run the update once you have added to the print queue of the printer. If this isn't the case, run the Apple software update - if you get the HP Printer Driver Update 2.11 Please install it. Open printing preferences again & system scan, and then click the 'more'. You may need to wait a little longer for the device to appear with the amiable Fax HP (do not choose one with the friendly all-in-one HP this time, because it will only add the queue for printer and scanner, but not fax).

In the case of the SU does not have the ability to install the HP printer driver update, you can download and install the package from the Apple website: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL907

I hope the information is useful.

  • IE 8 does not leave my HP printer software module run-(HP Officejet J6480, model CB029A)

I have a PC with XP and upgraded to IE 8 today. Then IE 8 has encountered a problem with the software add-on from HP and my HP site.  IE 8 is currently running with a message "Internet Explorer running with disabled modules" and a warning that the add-on HP could result in an accident.

In a conversation with HP rep told me to recharge and stay until HP had solved the problem of IE 8 compatibility who they work with IE 7.  I then tried to install IE 7, but Microsoft said that I couldn't finish Set up as a later version of Internet Explorer on my system.  So now I am without the use of my new HP Officejet J6480 and I need to find a way to get back to IE 7 or update my software of HP.   Any suggestions?         Thank you

Go to start > Control Panel > programs & features >View Installed Updates (top left) wait for it to load and find Windows Internet Explorer 8. Highlight and uninstall. It will reinstall I.E.7

  • Windows 8.1 settles OfficeJet J6480

http://www.HP.com and when I tried to install it it tells me in a windows error message that it cannot find a specified file.  Then I tried to do it from the CD supplied with the printer, I got other error messages.  This is the third time I tried to install my software full OfficeJet J6480 on my laptop Lenovo Windows 8.1.  I downloaded the software from the printer does print and software immediately recognizes.  I would like however to use is full of features like scanning and provides the fax service. Now it only prints, but I can't use the other features.   I even install the patch for the printer with Windows 8.1 Windows Update to not have a good result.  If I get a new printer, it will not be HP for sure!

Take a look at this thread where I worked with various people to fix this type of problem.

    I hope this helps.

  • OfficeJet J6480 how to stop the HP Solutions Center opens automatically on the screen?

Printer Officejet J6480, Vista, connected to the laptop cable AND Wireless may be also (not sure wireless).

Always after that laptop starts upward and often while on Internet - the HP Solutions Center program opens automatically.  It passes through the small boxes asking to install with CD, etc opening.  I stop them and then Solutions Center opens in any case.  This happens in all work on laptop.   And especially, even if you use the printer manually.

    How to disable?

I realize it may have something to do with the configuration and use of the cable linking the two...

(My setup is very sensitive and was having too much difficulty with the fax configuration.  Always of the problems there, too.)

    Any ideas?

    Much appreciated!

    Hi HP-CompaqPC,

I understand that you have a J6480 Officejet which continues to run through the installation of the solution Center whenever your computer starts up. I'm sorry to hear that, but will definitely do my best to help you.

I would recommend that you download and run the HP print and Scan Doctor and he should be able to identify what the problem is and make some suggestions on how to fix it.

I would like to know how this happens, have a great day!
