I have a HP officejet J6480 all-in-one printer. The screen is blank and there is this little yellow light flashes on the Cancel button.  I can not print or fax anything because the screen is empty. Since the light started to Flash the entire printer has not worked. Can someone please HELP! : womansad:

Well, if you haven't tried this and then create a coercive power reset:

Do not activate the wide (although you can), remove the power cord at the back of the printer. Wait at least 30 seconds, then reconnect the power cord to the printer. Turn on the printer. If that clears up the flashing light/white screen, then try printing etc...

If this is not the case, see if something visible is originally the error state such as paper jam, odd items in the printer, nothing fancy. Also try to plug the printer directly into the wall outlet as opposed to a look/power surge Strip, or even try a Jack in another room if it is not successful.

  • Cannot re - install drivers for Officejet 7210 all-in-One

Any ideas on how I can get the drivers to re - install?

Windows 7 has been corrupted, so I reinstalled Windows to the factory image. I'm now reinstall all programs but used to install printer drivers. They installed fine when I got this PC from office in December 2009. I get the following message.

    ------------------

This software cannot be installed using the command "run under...". ». The installation cannot continue until this is resolved.

Action required: click Cancel to exit this software installation. Sign out and then sign in as a user with administrator privileges. (Contact your system administrator for more information.) If there is no system administrator, ask the primary user of this computer installation software. Restart the installation by removing and re - insert the installation CD.

    ------------------

I run the installer as administrator, tried it in Compatibility Mode for XP and Vista, verified box "Run as Administrator", etc. etc. Nothing works - I still get the same message.

I have all the Windows updates.

I downloaded drivers from the HP website. The file is "rub_w01_Americas_Euro1.exe".

The product name and number = Officejet 7210 all-in-One printer

Operating system = Windows 7 Home Premium

Any suggestions on how to get this re-installed?

Well, who seems to have been the solution. Initially, I did a search on the HP website for the printer driver for the printer, and this original file was the one I pointed. It was also the same the original file that I had since my first installation of the printer two years ago - I looked on the HP site this time just in case the driver has been updated.

However, I tried the file you said and it works beautifully. The printer software interface is completely different and there is this new "Solution Center" application that has been installed - so I assume that HP has re-written the driver and software package around, including the installation package.

I'm puzzled why HP research could point me to an incorrect file.

I'm still puzzled as why the original file that I used to install the drivers for printer two years ago is no longer works on my PC.

In any case, thanks for the idea. I don't know how you find the file, but it worked.

  • Need printer driver generic for Officejet 7210 all-in-one on Windows 8.1

Updated my Windows 8 Windows 8.1, who took my print driver for an all-in-one Officejet 7210.  Tried to reinstall.  Error file not found.  Detailed monitoring of the process of a t-shirt (temp deleted files, deleted startup, programs).  Driver does not work but the printer does with other computers.  Printer is no longer supported and no help (but is in good working condition).

I'm looking for a generic driver that will work with my printer and Windows 8.1.  I appreciate a lot of help...

    Hi LChristofaro,

I have studied your error message and the Msiexec.exe error and this is a problem with windows install. I would recommend restarting your windows installer.

    To do this:

    1. run "Services.msc" (without the quotes).

    2. double-click on "Windows Installer" in the Services list.

    3. click on stop, and then click OK.

    4. Click Start, and then click OK.

You restart the computer and try the installation again.

Let me know if this helped.

    Thank you

  • Problem with my printer hp officejet j6480 all-in-one laptop

I'm having a problem with my printer HP all-in-one officejet j6480 what it prints very slow

the operating system is windows 7 32 - bit, I download full driver but that didn't fix the problem

HI - it prints slowly all applications or only some of them?  In both cases, you can try following the steps described in this document.

In addition, try going into Control Panel, printer, right-click on the printer, and then select printer properties.  Click the Advanced tab, and then select print directly to the printer.

    Hope that helps.

  • PRINTING PROBLEMS W/WINDOWS 8 ON 7515E PHOTOSMART HP ALL IN ONE PRINTER

Since the installation of Windows 8, I got that printing problems. The good drivers have been installed on the site of HP.  It worked well at the start and all of a sudden, it doesn't. The print job is in the queue and when you look in the print dialog box, it says the printer is offline, but it shows that's it is connected to the internet and the static IP address keeps changing. The only solution is to completely uninstall the printer and reinstall it. Then it will work until the next time you have to print.

What happens on both computers mobile home now with Windows 8.

I can take the same document that would not print from these computers, it trouble-free printing from the computer that is running Windows XP.

Tried the doctor to print HP (or whatever it's called) and it is nothelping to solve the problem.

  • Cannot use the installer for Officejet 6500 all-in-one because of the resolution of the screen

    Hello

I thought I could install my new Officejet 6500 as a printer network during the weekend, but apparently, HP had a different opinion...

I use a netbook for my work as I travel a lot. Unfortunately, the screen resolution max available for these computers to wide screen is "limited" to 1024 x 576, which is less than the minimum required by the installation software (800 x 600), so I can't just install drivers and software. I tried to download the drivers from the HP support site, but ran into the same problem again.

I'd appreciate any help I don't have a desktop or a laptop with a ratio of the 'normal' view and I'm stuck with a machine that is "useless"...

    Thanks a lot in advance!

Yes. When you get to the window system requirements check, click the button cancel while now the keys Ctrl + Shift. It will bypass the sys. Req. check and continue with the installation. You may need to do this several times for the installation to continue.

  • Installation of Windows 7 full software for OfficeJet 7210 ALL-IN-ONE

    Hi people,

I am trying to install the complete package for an OfficeJet 7210 AIO, via USB, Windows 7 x 64.  It is a Dell Optiplex 760.  I don't have admin rights, and I use the last bunch of HP for this installation.  I have run with high privileges, and he fails and hangs without error code at the place where it says "Application Updates.  This machine has a Core 2 Duo processor 2.93 GHz.

    Any help is GREATLY appreciated!

    Thank you!
    James T.

Thanks, but I need the scanner too, and you can't have the functionality to scan using the regular printer.

But we thought about it! There are a few options to install only some components, and we need to uncheck some of them, like the automatic updates, the client program, etc.

    Thanks anyway!

I have a problem to use the scan and copy function.

    Hello vtcy

It doesn't seem to be a problem with the scanner itself because the copying and scanning are performed. • keyboard on my printer hp officejet j6480 all-in-one laptop has stopped working

I can't enter the fax number or change the number of copies to print. Need suggestions for this problem.

    Hello

To reset the printer in some cases, this might work.  With the printer, unplug the power supply from the wall and disconnect the power to the printer.  Wait 60 seconds and then reconnect power.  Reset the printer and must go through the starting sequences.  See if this reset helps.

Currently, HP has some offers on hp.com for new printers, or even go to Staples, Best Buy or Costco.  If you call HP Shopping sometimes they have specials going.  Here is the link to HP Shopping if the reset does not help you.

  • Manual duplex, duplex printing does not work on my HP Officejet g85 all-in - One Printer running Windows 7

I have a new 64 bit Windows 7 Home Premium PC which I plugged my HP Officejet G85 printer via a USB cable.

Tell the truth, the 'instructions' click on the 'FEATURES' tab on the active manual duplex duplexing aka.  My driver does not work

have a "FEATURES" tab - so I can't print double-sided.  CAN YOU HELP ME?  It is not for lack of printing, since everything still works perfectly on my old XP computer.

THE COMMANDS THAT I USE ARE:
"FILE, PRINT, HP G85, preferences and get 'LAYOUT' & PAPER/QUALITY" tabs (but not "FEATURES" tab).

Tab AVAILABLE the has a "print on both sides:" box of choice: a) return on long edges or Rtrn b)

BUT EITHER IT HAPPENS ELSEWHERE NOTHING EXCEPT THE OUTPUT PRINTER ON ONE SIDE!  Help!

XP drivers will not install in Windows 7 and XP mode, to higher than the Premium family edition.

As far as I KNOW, even if you install the printer in XP mode, I don't think you can access the printer from Windows 7.

The solutions are to use free Office or Open Office in XP mode, collect the files to print and then print out them which can result in the document formatting issues.

  • OfficeJet J6480 all-in-One, scanner has stopped working

I'm on OS 10.6.2 on an iMac Intel Core Duo.  I got a J6480 Officejet for about a year.  The scanner worked fine when I bought it first, but now it has stopped working.  If I use the HP software, I get a message "an unknown error has occurred."  If I try to scan using the buttons on the printer, I get an error of "No scan option available" on the screen.  I already tried to uninstall and reinstall the software and it did not work (although before the reinstall, the error messages comes to say, ' no scanner available, "so I guess it's an improvement?).

I do not use the scanner a lot, but my guess, is that he has stopped working some time after I've upgraded to Snow Leopard.  I was regularly running Leopard when I bought the machine and first used the scanner.  I see a lot of messages on the scanner not working not not with Windows, but I have not found anything with Mac in particular.

    Help?

OK, one more not - we will reset the printing system:

    -Sys Prefs, Print & Fax
-Right (Ctrl) click the box of the print queue and select Reset Printing System.
-Select the sign + to add again. Search for the printer, select it, and wait until the button 'Add' becomes available. Until it clicks.

    OfficeJet j6480 all-in-one Windows 8

My printer configuration report show that the printer is connected to my home network. My Control Center shows that my HP printe (my only printer) is listed as the default printer. When I open it, it shows a document in the queue, and offline. When I click on 'offline' the document in queue is considered and when I click on "Printer" in this window, the drop-down list displays the default printer, but 'use printer offline' isn't not verified. Bottom line, it's that I can't print. Help much appreciated woutd.
