OfficeJet L7590 network scanning problem

Hello

Scanning feature on my OfficeJet L7590 recently stopped working for no obvious reason (print work very well physical scanner is also ok for copying of works).

I tried to uninstall/reinstall the driver as well as the doctor printing & scanning running and after a few more tips that I have found here, but without success.  Operating system is Windows 7 x 64.

In fact, the doctor complains that the driver cannot communicate with scanner (both with and without firewall) disabled. But the strange thing is that network capture shows nice 2 - way communication on ports 9220, 9500 and 80. I enclose the capture of the file here https://www.dropbox.com/s/4pdagls54khx6od/scantest.pcapng for a short session of doctor (detection, Test scanning, error, exit). In the screenshot, my PC IP 192.168.0.101 and peripheral HP is 192.168.0.105.

I'll be very grateful for any suggestion.

For the case where a person with a similar problem this thread:

I was finally able to solve.

In short, the culprit was 9 DrWeb antivirus that I improved long - specifically their Mail protection module which I have not yet used. It turns out that they insist on all network connections control in (vain, imho) hope to detect the traffic of mail on non-standard ports. But their detection is bug, so that they somehow are SMTP in traffic to the port printer 9220 and tried to proxy-filter - corrupts everything, of course.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled without this module, and now everything works well =)

Go to submit a bug report to them, too

  • Windows 8 + HP Officejet 6500 E709n, scanning problem

    B.s

After having bought a new pc with Windows 8, the HP printer is not able to scan. After you fix the first error that occur (not), a new error occur. This time, he said:

"The analysis cannot be performed because the network and is HP imaging device used by another program or another computer." "Please try again later".

The following pictures with the error (in Dutch)

    HP Solution Center

    HP Print and Scan Doctor

The two are not very useful to solve this problem. Tried the following:

-Unistallen and reinstalling is not helping

-Rotation of the printer pc router isn't help

-HP app has no scan option

It seems that there are 2 solutions:

    (1) buy another printer that IS compatible with Windows 8

    (2) get another operating system instead of Windows 8

The two are not a real option. So, HP, I hope you have a solution

Never mind. We bought a new pinter all-in-one which is able to scan with windows 8, and is able to print from the iPad

  • HP 1536 dnf network scanning problem

I downloaded all appearing on the site of Hp, new complete software, installation of tred who download doctor of hp, which is troubleshooot and NOTHING! Printer still prints very well, but it cannot parse at all! It appears the message that scanner is not available, Hp print doctor or what ever he calls runs until the second question, when I click on fix scaning.

Let me mention that everything works well until the morning today. My router and firewall are not problem, I tried and ENSURE that the connection is not restricted soehow. This is a problem on two computers, a laptop and a desktop computer.

Those are printers of the company, Shoud I throw the printer in trash and NEVER buy another HP or you will give me a solution that helps?

I did all the things listed in the previous post and nothing, after that a few hours of fury I changed my IP address on the printer itself and miraculosly scanning has started working. Let me simplyfi:

-On a single address (static) scan 4 instance 192.168.0.18 refuse to work

-On the other 192.168.0.168 address scan started working

-all of these addresses are not free, no DHCP server to assign them because I made the address in the DHCP reservation and bounded MAC IP address.

-on the first address when I click on scan now icon on the desktop, it takes a lot of time to load the app and finally told me that scanner is not available.

-On the second address that it works instantly.

-No rule to network in order to limit any kind of device, or same firewall to limit the comm between printer and PC.

Let me remind all printing time worked perfectly on both addresses.

-Antivirus firewall, all those who have been turned off and even after this action - nothing has changed, scan were still an address tank working and no other hollow work.

I'm stumped, but in any case I solved the problem

    Thank you

    Hi @analisa808,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I noticed that you cannot scan to PDF with your printer HP Officejet Pro 6830. And I'm happy to see it for you!

To get help, I'll need some more information:

    1. If you use Windows or operating system Mac and the version number. To find the exact version, visit this link. Whatsmyos.
    2. If the printer is connected, USB, Ethernet, or wireless.
    3. If the printer is able to make copies.
    4. If the power cable is connected to a surge protector, or directly to a wall outlet. Questions when it is connected to an uninterruptible power supply/Strip/surge protector power. This is true for printers and ink jet.

In the meantime, if you are using Windows, try the HP Print and Scan Doctor program. And let me know what happens!

  • OfficeJet 8500 Network Install problems w / router Dlink DIR655

I can't get a Dlink DIR655 router to allow an Officejet 8500 complete installation of the software on the network. In XP, the printer configuration page has verified it is up and running, has an IP etc. I have tried everything I can find on the router and computer, closing firewall, antivirus. change the router settings and enabling except addresses etc. Someone at - it ideas? Work very well etc, Internet network that allows other computers to access the internet.

Thanks for any thougts or help,

    Albie

Thank you for the replies, I solved it and it may be worth to post it here.

Manually, I entered an IP address to match the range of the router, but could not get the software to install, with the help of a technician HP online by plugging directly into the router. Plug on the home network wired, rendering the printer not available online.

Here is some of the best. I just had a connection 2nd broadband ISP of Shaw cable, our television provider and used in this regard to implement this printer. I bought the identical DLink 655 Router I use as a DSL connection if the telephone line. (I wanted a 2nd backup internet and I also wanted to test the speed of 2 services)

Once I lost the printer when connected off the router, I took the router of Shaw in offline mode and plugged the router DSL for the home network. THE PRINTER WORKED PERFECTLY! What a great lesson for a guy who has spent many hours reading and following all possible solutions, he could find!

So for anyone out there that might help, I thought that I post and once again thank everyone for their great posts and help here, as well as responses to me.

Either way, Shaw router started blocking my outgoing email this morning. Another thing, they make for us to send our email out through another address, one of them.

I hope I helped someone along the way.

Best wishes of the season for everyone

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600: USB connected OfficeJet Pro 8600: scanning on a network: is it possible?

    Hello world.

I have a 8600 OfficeJet Pro connected to a computer via the usb port. This computer is running Windows 7 Professional and is connected to an ethernet network.

The printer is shared with other computers (currently running either Win & and XP Pro) connected to the network can view and print to the printer without problem. However, there is no option for network computers to scan from the 8600. This option is available on the computer that is connected to the printer via the USB port.

Network scanning is possible even if, in this configuraiton or if the printer must be connected to the network via ethernet or Wi - Fi to take advantage of this feature?

    Thank you.

It is better to simply connect a network cable from the printer or turn on wireless (so both as a printer usb to the computer and the printer to network for the rest).

    Hello

It seems that the name of the computer doesn't really work in this scenario.

I used the IP address instead (you can find your Mac IP in the network system preferences pane) and everything worked.

In addition, you don't have to write the full local path to your shared folder, such as/Users/JAWA /...

Just write the name of the file just after the IP address.

Here is an example of my work:

  • OfficeJet Pro 8720: OfficeJet Pro 8720 "Scan to computer".

    Hello everyone,

I just got the Pro OfficeJet 8720, I looked in the manual and cannot find a way to the place where to customize this feature.  On the printer you ave the opportunity to "scan to computer".  When you do so, you get a list of computers where to scan them to.  I don't have a problem with that.  The question I have, it the location where he recorded. Currently, it is by default in the My Documents folder.  Is there a way to tell it somewhere else... like a folder in my documents.   I can't find a way to tell him where to go.

I got an OfficeJet L7590 and I was able to customize the location, but I can't "find a way to do it on this printer.

    Thank you.

  • The IP address has changed on the Officejet L7590 caused XP machine does not see

I have an Officejet L7590 connected to my wireless router, and it was works very well with our laptop Win XP via the network wireless for a few weeks. Then all of a sudden, we couldn't connect. So I checked the IP address through the front panel to find that he had changed from x.x.x.3 to x.x.x.4. By looking at the advanced properties of the control panel-> printers area he showed at the address x.x.x.3 (though that a button has been checked to always say 'print to this same device if its ip address changes'.

So I managed to force a change to make it work by changing the ip address in the printer Control Panel icon manually, but nobody knows how to stop what is happening yet? What are the causes the IP address of the printer to change anyway - he is using DHCP of course but they change whenever you turn it on? We usually spend the printer off every night...

    Thank you!

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600 scans appear in white

    Hello

My HP Officejet Pro 8600 scan correctly, either from the document feeder or the dish. The scans appear almost totally blank, although some weak contours are barely visible along the top. Two computers use the scanner (Mac OS X 10.6.8 and 10.7.5) and both have the same problem. Any suggestion would be great!

    Hi ABverr,

A hard reset can solve this problem.  To do this, unplug the power cord at the back of the printer when the printer is still on.  Unplug the other end of the power cord.  After 60 seconds, plug it directly into a wall outlet, and then plug it into the back of the printer.  Try a scan.

If this does not help, I linked a document with measures to correct the problems of quality of scanning.  Click here

If the problems persist, you can download and run printing HP and doctor Scan.  Click here  Let me know the results.

    Good luck!

  • OfficeJet 6000 software install problem

    Hi all

I have messaged HP about this problem but I was wondering if someone here could help.

But in general on MY laptop the software will not be installed:

Setup gets to step 2 and said that it has detected old software, it then crosses on uninstall process and restart the computer to restart Setup starts again comes to the phase 2 says that it has detected older software uninstalls, restarts the computer... and it continues indefinitely.

    Hello Anshul230499,

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support.

If a download was interrupted in the Mac App Store, then whenever you have new Internet download should then restart.

If a download application is interrupted

Once an Internet connection is restored, your purchased downloads should restart automatically. The Mac App Store may warn you that there is a problem with the download and ask if you want to restart downloads. Confirming will restart all pending downloads.

Download time may vary according to the size of the file and the speed of your Internet connection. See this article on purchases made on iTunes Store for more information on the time to download large files.

    Take care.

  • HP 750 055xt: clean install / desire / network driver problem

Want to 750-055xt. Bought as a refurb. SSD is small, so I put more in and did a clean install with Windows 7 Professional.

It's not a hardware issue because I can put the other drive and it works fine.
