OfficeJet Pro 8600: Officejet Pro 8600: problem installing new printhead - printer 'stuck '! Help

Following the instructions on the HP Web site: with the removed paper trys, I removed the head of existing print/cartridges. I then installed the new HP Printhead and cartridges of startup. The LCD has acknowledged that the newly inserted Assembly HP authentic. The LCD screen for the last 20 minutes and counting reads as follows: "prepare the printer." Meanwhile, the printer makes no noise and obviously done nothing.

Can I put the printer off, then on and see if that gets the printer 'preparation' to actually do something?

Mark

Hello

While the printer turned on, unplug the power cord from the back of the printer.

Wait 60 seconds.

Turn off the wireless router.

Connect the power cord to the back of the printer.

When the priner is ready, just put next to the wireless router.

  • After installing new cartridges, printer icon says printer is off line. Tried to go in the passage of the off-line online, without any change.

The printer itself doesn't seem to be the problem. Have disconnected the cables, and the message is offline, offline. Reconnect and he said just in offline mode. This makes me think that it is a software that I'm not waking up switching.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600: just installed new HP cartridges and ink colors are disabled!

It's very expensive 4 950 XL and 951 cartridges XL that I bought at Staples a couple of months. I noticed right after installation that bright red in my images were now feel like dull brown. I printed a few pages from the control panel of the printer test. Cyan and yellow seemed pretty accurate, but magenta was a deep purple, not the lightest color pink or pink, I expected. I think that something was wrong with the series production of this cartridge. I hope I can find my receipt, but if not, always wait that HP would replace a full cartridge that was flawed in manufacturing. My HP printer has an accuracy of colors great until about a week ago, but is now almost useless for the work at home that I want to do - for example custom greeting cards, cards, posters, etc.. I printed the test pages don't show any problems with the alignment of the head, and the stripes of color show no scratches. Just a magenta that is close to her correct hue, based on my long experience with color ink jet printers.

An HP service technician spent 1/2 hour on the phone with me yesterday, and we could not solve the problem. I had already worked through the steps that you referred me to. I have never known or heard of a problem like this, and had not the technology. When I printed the Diagnostic Page of print quality, I have absolutely perfect alignment and bars very clean black, gray and colors. Yellow and cyan looked quite right. Magenta was a deep, dark - purple not magenta I am familiar with years of work with inkjet printers. But it's printed cleanly, I started to believe that the new magenta cartridge, which had just been installed as well as 3 other XL cartridges, had somehow got filled with dark purple ink. However during our tests, asked me to remove the magenta cartridge and pick up some color from around the beak with a Q Tip. When I rubbed on the print paper, it was true magenta!

Other theories were: (1) that somehow the circuit board of the printer and print head did not and triggers the two nozzles magenta and cyan times reported magenta printing. That seems the most likely answer. 3 the theory was that the ink in the print head channels had a leak between inks cyan and magenta. It seems less likely, because there is no impurity in the print cyan, as well as the color printing was absolutely consistent over several test pages. The tech asked me to remove the print head Assembly and clean the area around the nozzles. That did not help.

In the end, I was offered a model of printer a HP refurbished more recent than mine. The price was very reasonable - much less than the cost of a printed circuit board or a feeling of head. He also used the same cartridges, so my XL series would be used later once provided with the new printer cartridges are consumed. I took that offer and hope to have a new printer from Tuesday. So I'm glad HP service.

  • OfficeJet pro died with installed new cartridges

I just installed a complete set of new cartridges in my officejet pro more than 8600, and less than a week, he died. Troubleshooting with hp support online and the diagnosis is food dead internal; cannot be replaced. Now, I want to know if I can get the printer of the new cartridges that I just installed which cost me over $ 100. I can't have the power to the printer. Any ideas?

I answered my own question while I expected a response from the community. I have removed the screws at the back of the printer and managed to lift open in the rear, enough to get my hand inside and remove the whole print head and cartridges by lifting the white lever.

    There you go.

  • HP Officejet Pro L7590 problems with new software

    Hello

I have a HP all-in-one OfficeJet Pro L7590.  I had to move the printer on another computer that is running Windows 7.

When I install and try to print to the printer does not act as he did with the software that was on the old computer XP.

What I mean is that the printer will not print double side which is a feature that I used a lot.

I downloaded and reinstalled the software and downloaded used the HP print and Scan doctor.  When executing this I was told there was a driver conflict so I unplugged the usb cable and drivers have been removed and when I plugged it in new dirivers were installed.

Always when I go to properties and select Quick economy and printing on two sides he spits a page then the printer acts as if it was out of paper, and then when I press OK on the printer it prints the second page on another sheet of paper.  Note: What is printed on the 1st page prints correctly and what is printed on the 2nd page works properly for printing on the other side, but it is not the other side, but a separate sheet of paper.

Your help would be MOST APPRECIATED what!

Note: I repeat that the software that worked under Windows XP has never had this problem.  This new version of the software running under Windows 7 has a problem.

    Hello

Just to thank everyone who responded to my questions about the problem with printing 2 Facer on OfficeJet Pro L7590 by HP.  I did the following and it seems to have solved the problem of this printer DO NOT print on two sides of a sheet of paper.

1 deleted all the computer printer software

2 used the utility available on HP website washer to clean any persistent software that I couldn't find.

    3. set the printer back to factory defaults.

4 use HP printer Installation Wizard to find and install the fix version of the software that sits on the HP website.

Thanks again for those who repsonded and I hope the above helps anyone who might read this message.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8610: officejet pro 8610, perfectly installed, but wont print

OK, so I installed the printer and connected wireless on my Vista 64 bit system. Connected perfectly but does not the computer print. I ran the print and scan doctor who suggested I uninstall and download the software directly from HP that I did. Same thing... perfectly installed but does not print. The test for fax and wireless the pass pages, configuration page Network displays connected too. The same printer downloaded directly one updated so I don't know that it is connected to my home network. But still when I try to print something directly from my computer I get the error "unable to communicate with the printer. Yes, the 8610 is my default printer and Yes, the blue wireless light is solid on the printer and yes I uninstalled it and reinstalled the software and yes I tried unpluging the printer from the wall and restart my computer. Scan DR erased all the tasks in the queue without conflicts... all green arrows, but when I click on print a test page... NOTHING. Internal test page prints. PLEASE PLEASE SOMEONE HELP BEFORE I RETURN THIS.

Oh and by the way, if I connect via the USB port, it prints and if I use the HP AIO application it prints my android devices... Cannot understand this

    Thank you

    Sheri

OK, so after hours of trying to understand it, in my opinion, I thought of it myself. It was not enough just to use the disc or download the software. I had to go to my control panel and click Add a printer, and then select Add a network, wireless or Bluetooth printer, and follow the instructions with the disc from there. The computer then added a standard TCP/IP port, which did not previously exist. Now it prints. I deleted the installed printer before without the port and it works fine now. Hope this helps others. It would have been useful if HP has included this little trick from the beginning, that we should install the software directly from printer/Add Panel control, not the single disc. Hope this helps others.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8620: Problem with two-sided printing by default settings Officejet Pro 8620.

On my MAC, I opened the preferences system - print & Scan - Options & supplies, the pop up window only contains two tabs: Gerneral and power levels. The other tabs such as the default settings are not displayed. So I can't set default 2 Facer of printing. In such a case, I find that I can always print both ways in the face of some software where I can change the settings for print specifically in this software. But I can't change the settings of the printer in Adobe Acrobat format, because change is always through the same interface as I mention above. How I solve the problem? I am connected to my printer via wifi. Thank you.

    Hello

In Adobe Acrobat, open the print dialog box, and then click on the "Printer" button... "to access the print dialog box standard operating system.

There should not be a default on a Mac tab, the settings can be saved as default recording these as a preset in the print dialog box, then a used preset will be default.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8610: New printhead - printed without using the installer cartridges - want to use

Has had a chance to offer a new free printhead when one would not accept my new replacement ink cartridges.

Didn't I have to use new ink cartridges supplied with the new print head. On the contrary, kept all the cartridges no-SETUP, that I had just bought. Printer accepted them and printed a huge amount of things. Some of the prints seem too dark. Now the printer asks to change the cartridges and will not accept the cartridges SETUP.

    (1) is my printer not configured correctly because I haven't used the SETUP with the new print head cartridges?

    (2) is it possible that I can get the printer accepts CONFIGURATION ink cartridges so that I don't have to lose their?

If the printer did not print installing cartridges and now you want to use them, it will not accept them. I'm sorry. Replace ordinary cartridges.

The installation goes beyond area license etc, but with 24 minutes remaining, it prompts with:

Found new harware Wizard: the wizard will help you install software for 'System '. It then ask for a location for the driver.
It is safe to do not find it on the XP cd I (which is a real homepage of the XP CD)

    Pointers?

Win XP asking XP drivers because it was material that requires the driver
First of all, I would not use the wizard of Win XP but I would look for unknown devices in Device Manager and then I would install the necessary drivers that you can find on the European driver Toshiba page.

I think you should download all the drivers XP of the page and should install it!

  • Cartridge, HP 920 XL: Wireless HP Officejet 6000, the problem of black ink printer

I have a HP Officejet 6000 wireless printer.  It's 2nd HP 920 XL cartridge that has not worked.  It does not show that it is empty, but it will not be printed.  Our school cannot afford to replace these at this rate.  Please let me know what to do to make this work correctly.

I removed the printer as my default so that I could use another printer.  When I ran the program again to check for problems, the guest asked me to add the printer returned as default.   When I reconnected it the printer as long as my default, I tested the printer and it worked.  Don't know why remove and then add back in the set, but he did.
