OfficeJet pro 8740: HP ePrint App

I installed the app, but in the E-mail section as far as section yahoo goes it will not, I put my credentials for username and password but it won't connect in what it says to check my username and password, I tried 5 times and no luck, and then I choose the section of Google and I put in my credentials and would not connect in. I got a pop up saying (Google requires security extra step.) Please check your e-mail online security settings. )

My 2 step of verification on google blocking the app?

Quite as step 2 audit on yahoo and google blocked HP ePrint app. But I fixed that by removing the stage 2 audit. Now able to use e-mail apps

    Concerning

    John

    Hello Phillip9,

There is no real technical reason that there is not an update to make the ePrint printer capable.  The main reason for this is that the printer was conducted in 2009.  It has been updated twice, once with the a 8500 a910 and now with the a911 8600, which both support ePrint and any other web service except eFax.  The long and short he is, that even if it is only 16 months old, the 8500 a909 is obsolete.  I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

  • Office Jet Pro 8710: HP ePrint app

I have HP Print Service Plugin installed on my 6.0.1 Android phone app. All of a sudden it will only print paper size 'hand-Index Card 3 x 5 '. I uninstalled the app and reinstalled nothing doesn't. The problem that happens on the phone Android for my daughter as well.  As it happens on all our devices I checked on my PC and the printer settings and both are defined in letter format. I had this app on my phone and previous long phones without any problems. What is the problem?

    Hello!

Were you able to see these options on the HP ePrint app?

If not, just select the first file you want to print then you will see an icon gear on the upper right. This should be the printing preferences option. If you are able to find that you can change the size of the letter (8.5x11) paper.

Let me know if this helped.

  • problem with Officejet pro 8600 N911g ePrint

I'm trying to install eprint on my officejet however I have questions. I went into my settings to printers via the IP address and when I click on activate ePrint, it says this:

Unable to connect to the server.

Check the Internet connection and try again. Or contact your system administrator or the person who set up the printer.
If your network requires a proxy server address to connect to the Internet, click Proxy enter or check your browser settings.

As far as I know of I do not use a proxy server address. I have Cox Cable internet and have set the IP to my computer/printer to static. All other work well i.e. wifi printing, iphone/ipad and ext.

    Thank you

    Danny

The steps below a usually resolve the problem you are experiencing:

    1. unplug the power cord at the back of the printer.

    2. unplug the power cord at the back of your router (and the modem, if they are separated from the router).

    3. wait 20 seconds, then plug the router (and the modem, if necessary) in.

    4. wait for 30 seconds, then plug the printer back and power.

    5. press the button on the front of the printer ePrint, and it should try to connect to Web Services again.

These steps usually fix the problem, but if it persists, you can try definition of network information static for the printer (which is sometimes useful to stabilize the ability of the printer to get outside of your network to the internet):

    1. tap the wireless at the top of the screen of the printer and note the IP address.

    2. Enter the IP address in the address bar of a web browser on a computer and press on enter or click the go button browser.

    3. the printer status page must be open.  Click network in the upper part.

    4. click on networking on the left.

    5. Select the Proxy settings.
Note: If you are prompted for a redirect, click OK.  If you receive a certificate warning, select the option that allows you to continue anyway.
If you receive an internal system error, refresh the page until it loads the proxy settings.

    6. check that all fields are empty.  If they are not, make them disappear and make sure that the Proxy Server requires authentication is unchecked and click on apply.  You should get a success message.

    7. click on the network address (IP) on the left.
Note: If you only configuring IP address and DNS address with a yellow note Configuration, refresh the page until it loads completely.

    8. leave automatic IP IP address Configuration.

9 change the DNS address to the manual DNS Server Configuration.

    10. enter manual for the manual preferred DNS Server 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 for auxiliary DNS.

    11. click Apply and you should get a success message.

    12. turn off the printer for 30 seconds and then turn it on again to force the new settings take effect.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8740: Printer OfficeJet Pro 8740 on-scan shortcuts

On our old Lexmark printer, we were able to implement "smart solutions" for common tasks. For example, some set choice of values for common jobs: b scan single color in the face of the electronic mail address (b) X the CSAA n & b front e-mail address Y (c) color duplex scan to e-mail address Z.

I finally found instructions on how to create shortcuts of the printer (the sur-imprimante those who appear via the shortcut icon on the screen of the printer) online.  But what as shown, by clicking on an icon doesn't give not any feedback to create a shortcut. No shortcut has been created.

It seems that we can manually configure the simple options faced/double-faced and color and black-and-white in the button 'settings' by job. Is it possible to store these common parameters for a shortcut on the printer?

    Hey @DogSnapperATX,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I see that you are looking to create presets on your Officejet 8740 e-all-in-one printer. The printer would have all of the features similar to what you describe.

Please let me know if that solves your problem or answer your question. If so, please click on accept solution. If you appreciate my help, please click on the thumbs up icon. The two icons are below this post.

  • HP OfficeJet Pro 8740: switching of paper trays

I wonder if there is a way to pass using Tray 1 and 2. I would like to keep the legal paper in tray 2 and regular letter paper in Tray 1 format, but can not find a way to select the tray 2 when I want to print legal size documents.

    Hi @apiscopo,

I just wanted to stop and share my own suggestions for you want to print legal size of tray media your Officejet 8740 2.

After checking the specs of the printer, you cannot load and print from legal paper in tray 2, and just plain paper is an option.

    The printer's specifications

I know that's not what you want to do however, I hope that helps answer your question.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8740: HP OfficeJet Pro 8740 Factory Reset

One person got a new printer to my client and did not wait to introduce myself and put in place.  They disabled USB in the menu and the reset network settings does not return.  How to reset the default printer or re - activate the networking on the printer?

    Hi JFARLING!

If you don't see any option to restore the factory settings on your JO 8740 printer, you can try to do the following:

Note: This will restore literally all the settings of the printer, and you will need to do the 'out of the box' configuration after reboot.

    1. Press the power button to turn on the printer.

  • HP OfficeJet Pro 8740: How-to: printing without margins

Does anyone know how to enable printing without margins to the 8740?  A Google search seems to suggest, there is a power switch setting somewhere, but I can't locate it.  The margin settings are grayed out in Windows that point to the printer.  I am trying to print thank you cards and the design should at least get close to the edge of the page. As it is, the upper part has a. 5 "border and down one. 75 "border. I've adjusted the headers and the preferences of the driver, same facts my clean template without borders, but still not the same top and bottom margins...

    Hello @Ike_Seattle,

Thank you for showing your interest in the HP Forums! I see that you would like to know how to print without margins. I want to help you.

I have provided a document to change the setting without borders through the printer driver:

    Print photos (Windows).

I would like to know if these measures worked for you. You can select the 'accept as Solution' and the 'Thumbs Up' buttons, which will help us and others see that we have the answers! Good luck!

  • OfficeJet Pro 8740 all-in-one: with OfficeJet Pro 8740 Incompatible print settings

I just implemented this new printer and it has two trays of food. I have paper in Tray 1 and the type of Photo paper in tray 2. When I try to print a photo, I get the error Incompatible with:

    Paper size: letter

    Feeder: Photo tray

If I let him automatic selection of the plateau, he goes to the Tray 1 but if I select tray 2, which is the Photo tray, I get the above error.

    I use paper.

Any suggestions on how to fix this?  As I said I just installed this machine today, so I'm not really familiar with all it's operating.

    Thank you

I think that I fixed it now!  I went in the implementation on the printer and went to the management of the status bar and tray 2 by default and now it seems to work.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8610: Cannot print from the HP ePrint app on the Internet

    Hello

I try to print using the HP eprint on my Android mobile application. I am able to print using the WiFi on my phone but when on the go, the app will not find the printer. The eprint service works correctly since I can print when sending an email to my address of email eprint even when I travel but the application won't work when the printer of the Internet access. The printer is connected to a cable modem, wireless. Is there a way to print through the Internet using the HP ePrint app?

    Thanks in advance

Well after I asked a few friends with iPhones and Android devices to print over the Internet using the application, I noticed that everyone could.

So, initially, I reset the printer to the factory setting and reconfigured it. It has resolved all the issues I've had both with built in the application to manage as well as my phone. Now I can normally use the HP ePrint app on the internet and printing.

As a side note, I downloaded an update of the firmware to the printer and most probably caused problems, but, as says the resolved all factory reset.

    See you soon
