OK CTFMON.exe is an Enigma to me. It seems creap some people out. THE DATES are suspicious enough too.
* XP.
* The file is located in c:\windows\system32
(* But one) glary utilities stop it on start up
(* b) dates are meaningless: it was 'created Sunday, 25august 2030"(it is two - thousand-and-thirty AD).
* I would be grateful if someone could explain if it is just a typo, or do I potentially have a problem. It was amended on March 14, 2008 and available today 16 NOV 09.
* size: 15.0 KB (15 360 bytes)
* size on disk: 16.0 KB (16 384 bytes)
Cheers.
The creation date is of course funky, but file size numbers are good. On my computer it was created and modified on Monday, April 14, 2008.
Right-click the file, and then click Properties > Version . Admittedly, Copyright: © Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved to the site , and the issue of the company must have a value of Microsoft Corporation . I scan with my anti-virus program and submit it to Virustotal for further analysis.

Hi Samuel,.
Please contact the Microsoft Community Forums.
According to the description, it looks like that you receive a message when you connect to the computer.
Ctfmon.exe activates the Microsoft Office Language Bar and the Alternative User Input text input processor (TIP).
Msctf.dll messages may appear when using or installing some programs when Windows starts or shuts down, or maybe even during a Windows installation.
See the following Microsoft article and check.
Frequently asked questions about Ctfmon.exe: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/282599
I would suggest trying the following methods and check.
Method 1:
I would suggest that you check the trash, the simplest possible cause of a 'missing' msctf.dll file that you deleted by mistake.
Method 2:
I suggest you perform a San SFC boot and Clean and test the question.
The tool (SFC.exe) System File Checker scans missing or system corrupted files and repairs them.
Description of Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 System File Checker (Sfc.exe): http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310747
Method 3:
I suggest you to run the Microsoft Safety Scanner and check if there is no virus.
Microsoft Safety Scanner: http://www.microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx
Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again. The data files that are infected can be cleaned by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

Cipher.exe to overwrite the data deleted in Windows works with Windows Vista?
Cipher.exe to overwrite the data deleted in Windows works with Windows Vista? He worked under Windows 2000, but not sure about Vista! Otherwise Vista contains a command to clean free space HDD?
Hello
you need 3 of third party programs to clean free hard drive space
For your question:
always check the compatibility of vista programs on the link below
http://www.Microsoft.com/Windows/compatibility/Windows-Vista/default.aspx
If a program is compatible with vista you can try right click on the setup.exe, and then selecting run as administrator
It is not compatible with vista, you can try running it in a previous operating system mode
This does not work for all programs

I have a friends Compac laptop and he managed to stop loading explorer.exe when starting after logon is complete. I can't for the life of me remember what I have to do to restore this process in the startup routine so that his office will be in charge. He has an extraordinary number of startups, but he managed to remove this (essential) program, especially in lists of useless junk that is responsible.
It's a compact with an Intel processor running Vista and of course it doesn't have the ERD. There is a recovery on the hard drive partition and if I knew how to use it, maybe this would a repair option, but I'm not clear on how to use either because there is no literature or what he had with the computer. By way of explanation, he is a foster child and had been tossed around a lot, so it's not too surprise that it doesn't have any of these materials.
Go to this site and download the tool in a removable device like flash memory:
http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx
And then start your PC and press the F8 key repeatedly and start in safe mode and then run the tool of flash and complete analysis of the system memory.

Hi HiteshAstan,
one) don't you recall making any changes to the computer before this happened?
(b) what exactly happens when you sign in to your account? You get a specific error message?
Step 1: Let us check if the problem persists in safe mode
Access the menu advanced startup options by turning on your computer and pressing the F8 key before Windows starts. In the advanced startup options select safe mode
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/advanced-startup-options-including-safe-mode
If the problem persists, you can deduct that the user account is corrupted
Step 2: Create a new administrator account and then try to repair your user account

Difficulty of a corrupted user profile

This bug check is usually caused by drivers who used a wrong address.
If the first parameter has the same value as the fourth parameter, and the third parameter indicates a runtime operation, this bug check was probably caused by a driver who was trying to run code when the code itself has been paginated outside. The possible causes for the error page are:
- The function was marked as pageable and was operating at an IRQL higher (including obtaining a lock).
- The function call was made to a function in another pilot, and that this driver has been unloaded.
- The function was called by using a function pointer that was an invalid pointer.
