OLE OF THE ADF

Hello

Is it possible to use OLE of the ADF?

I have a few Oracle Forms that use OLE to run MS Word or another program to third.  I would like to know if I can do a similar form using ADF which can also use OLE.

Is or if not OLE, possible that I can have a button or similar on an ADF application which runs a third party program when pushed?

Thank you

out-of-box, no.

If you really need this feature, you can create java applet, embed this applet on the page into your adf application and use javascript to Exchange data between page and applet (or to call a method, etc.).

But to make it work, end users must install Java Runtime (JRE) and also this cmdlet must be digitally signed (or whether they will get warning messages, or same applet will not be able to open your Word/third party program file...).

  • Fax multiple pages in the ADF

When you try to FAX several pages, I load in the ADF of my 6700 printer and start fax.

After that some Fax pages with success, get a printout showing ERROR 346. It also indicates that a communication error occurred during the transmission.

This doesn't seem to be a random problem, but occurs whenever I try to fax multiple pages. In addition, the same thing happens with different recipients.

I've never run into that until I started to use my 6700 printer. Previously, when you use a fax, it never happened.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hello mortn99 here, I hope you enjoy your Monday

I noticed your post on the 346 error code that you receive when you send a fax to multiple pages of your 6700 JO. Here is a screenshot of the definition of the error code and a link to the Web site to interpret the error codes in the future. The suggestion is to change the speed to slow and disable the ECM which may help you!

See eight Solution and Solution nine to get instructions on changing the speed and disable ECM.

  • Single line vertical when using the ADF to Scan or copy on HP Officejet Pro 8600

Printer HP Officejet Pro 8600 Premium (CN577A)

    OS: MS 7 64-bit

When you use the ADF for my printer HP CN577A Officejet Pro 8600 Premium, I get a single vertical line on the document which is produced. This occurs when copying or scanning, both black and white and in color. If I scan or copy using the glass, I do not get the vertical line.

I already tried troubleshooting.  I unplugged the printer, left without electricity for several minutes; that didn't fix the problem.  Then, I cleaned the rollers and glass; I always get the vertical line, but only when using the ADF.

My firmware version is up to date (CLP1CN1150CR).

    What should I check next?

The only difference between the ADF and scanning flat, from a point of view of the scanner is there on the glass, it happens.  I suggest you get a bright flashlight and examine the corresponsing area hence is the line, it's almost certainly a spot on the strip of thin glass which is being just in the right place.

I've seen some people suggest that put a flashlight almost parallel to the Strip, it shines from the bottom can highlight the area problem.

  • HP 8600 cannot print from the ADF

First of all, let me say that I don't want to scan from the ADF. I want to PRINT from my computer using paper fed from the charger.

I just bought this printer and installed and I try to understand all the features.

I tried to search this forum and found nothing, online printing of ADF-related.

  • HP 8610: Printer scans only through the tray and not the ADF

I recently bought a HP 8610 and installed Windows 7. Printer scans only through the plateau. Originals loaded in the ADF (there is a sound that confirms this), but the default scan is flat. Infact the options of the status bar in the configuration of the printer displays only Tray 1. Help, please.

    Hello

The HP Officejet Pro 8610 software click on scan a document or Photo.

Ensure that all source scan as use charger (if installed) documents and not as the glass flat.

If that doesn't help, can make you a copy of the feeder by selecting copy > start copying in black from the rpinter Panel?

  • HP Officejet Pro 6830: do not scan from the adf

    Hello

I'm trying to scan on my all-in-one printer, but it won't pull the paper down in the adf.

I know that the adf works because it will copy from there, and I try and managed to scan until the thing "original charge" appears on the printer screen.  It is scanning, but the page is not mobile.

    Any ideas?

    HI @bekf

Open the HP Officejet Pro 6830 software (it is wither appears on your dektopm or under all programs > HP > printer folder).

Click on scan a Document or Photo and check the scan source is defined as "Use (if installed) document feeder", and then click the scan button and check for the difference.

  • My copies are always striated when I print from the ADF

When I use my driver on my 8500 AIO, copies are seeded, but agreed when I use the scanner glass, the copies come out well.  I tried to clean the feeder, but I was unable to get rid of the streaks.  I used alcohol to friction on the rubber rollers and used compressed gas (spray cleaner) to try out any dirt.  Any suggestions on how to solve this problem are greatly appreciated

    Hi TomCliff,

  • 8710: 8710 double scan from the ADF

Please help me understand if the HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 supports the double scanning from the document feeder. In http://www8.hp.com/h20195/v2/GetPDF.aspx/4AA6-4026ENUC.pdf , is the line: "breeze through with double scanning multipage documents and an automatic C1900 of 50 pages (a single pass double scan 8730/40 models).  How is - a scan a stack of documents recto / verso on a 8710?

For comparison, consider how the 6700 manages.   (A) on the computer, open "Scan HP."  (B) select "ADF." (C) place a check next to "Scan both sides (duplex).»  (D) place up to 20 originals in the document feeder.  (E) click on "search". (The ADF feeds the originals in the scanner.  On the computer, a pop-up scanning HP says: "prepare to analyze the other pages of your two-sided document.  To analyze the other side of pages 1. Remove the pages from the output tray.  Do not change the order of the pages.  2. without turning the pages at the wire, turn and place them in the document feeder according to the landmarks of placement on the device. 3. click OK when you are ready. ") F) after placing the originals rotated in the document feeder, click on 'OK '. (The HP scanning software stores the scan on your computer.)

    @gregspinney

The technical data sheet information in small print:

3 the single pass 50 sheets, ADF automatic duplex is available with only models 8730 and 8740. 8710 and 8720 models have an ADF 50 sheets of double mechanical

While scanning two-sided "single pass" is not available on the 8710, it should provide an automatic duplex scanning.  The leaves should go through the printer, print one side, flip and scan the second side.

A week ago I noticed that the analyses using the ADF put a black line about an inch from the right edge of the page.  This will not occur during the analysis of flat glass; only when you use the ADF.  I checked the glass and paper tray are clean and free of debris.  I wish that it there a way to display an image of what I'm talking about.

The line is about the thickness of a vertical margin of Notepad and gray line.

  • HP 8500 has showing vertical red lines on all the documentation scanned with the ADF

I had scanned a doc with red ink which I guess was still a little damp.  I have cleaned the rollers, but still get a few red vertical lines on copies scanned on the ADF.  Help please.

Some of the red ink may have been transferred to the scannerglas in the ADF, so clean it only to.

  • MX922 not in separate documents from the ADF.

I try to put a stack of documents in the ADF and then scan in individual pdf or jpg files. No matter what I do, I can't do this job. Can someone please step by step me through the configuration of this?  Thank you.

    Tom

    Hi comictommy,

Please click the button settings, then Scan of Document.

Save the settings in the section, next to Data Format, please select the PDF.

If the PDF (multi-page) is selected, all your pages will be scanned and saved in a PDF file.

If the PDF is selected, all your pages will be scanned and saved in individual PDF files.

  • Office jet pro 8500 a: copy using the ADF will not work.

I place the document in the top loader, it seems to be recognized by the machine, when I press the copy, it makes a funny noise but the document doen't go through the driver and the machine ask me to reload the document. A copy is fate. I checked if any blocking or jamming of paper but it's all clear.

Been through the different troubleshooting steps, but nothing helped.

    Thank you very much

Hello FROGYBEAR and welcome to the Forums of HP, I hope you enjoy your experience!

I see from your post that you are experiencing supply problems.  I would like to help with that!

I recommend you to perform a power reset. Unplug the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug back in the printer. Make sure that you connect the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any surge protector or power bar.

I would also suggest using this document on When you use the ADF, one "original jam: clear jam and press OK' Message displays on the all-in-one."  I understand the questions you see are a little different, but the steps should help solve that.

Good luck and please let me know the results of your troubleshooting operations. Thanks for posting on the HP Forums!
