• How to prevent diversion of Firefox virus Omniboxes?

  I don't know how, but for some reason any this Omniboxes.com virus hijacked my Firefox and I can't get rid of. What is happening, is it always force Firefox go to Omniboxes.com when I open it up. The strange thing is that it doesn't happen THE FIRST TIME. My homepage is set correctly: I can go to my homepage when I click the button, and it also does it when I open a new window. Right click on Firefox and go to properties has also revealed that the target destination is set correctly.

  In addition I have already abolished the malicious program from the software Manager and ran the Malwarebytes program (and quarantined the harmful files). I also checked the Task Manager, but no suspicious programs seem to be running in the background.

  Someone knows how to fix this? As said, the weird thing is that it doesn't happen that once started, never after that until I have Firefox open. I have also some modules and extensions running (confirmed safe), so I'm not a fan of Firefox reset.

  Well, I had another look at the parameters in the topic: menu config and actually found the line that was hijacking my home page. Must have missed the first time. I changed it and Firefox works correctly now.

  The normal use, I am an average of 1.2 G or about memory (of 16 G total); is this normal? Don't not maxing out at all but I was wondering.

  How to define and measure the use of memory for Firefox? Activity monitor? I use Firefox to write this. In the activity monitor, I see Firefox to 347 MB and Firefox Web Content to 259 MB.

  I don't use Safari in a good number of years, so I don't know what functions it has. The default Firefox Start Page / Home Page is incorporated into the code of Firefox and has no configurable element of the user where the user can add anything; However, it loads information from a secure server of Mozilla that changes from time to time.

  But you can define what you want to be "your" home page that appears whenever you open Firefox relatively easily.

  Hi, please try pressing the windows key + R and open: cmd.exe - in the console that opens the type in the following command: netsh winsock reset. then press on enter, restart the system once, and see if that would improve the situation...

• My flooded small KB image document files after I enabled to make changes on an update of Firefox?

  I allowed Firefox make changes on an update which resulted in my Document folders will be victim of flooding with lots and lots of miniature files from 1 to 4 KB.

  Seems to be linked to already open web pages. I tried to copy and paste the names of files, but this was not possible.

  Also some subfolders disappeared while the content of the word folder is always available

  Too many documents duplicate in the same main Document folder of my selection?

  Firefox 44.0b1 is the first of a dozen or more betas and sometimes there are flaws with it.
