  Murali, could you just give a little more information, it's a stand alone facility, which means that you have installed the BI server and everything else on the laptop?
  Are you using OC4J or a different web server, did you start OC4J services as well as the windows service for presentation BI services?

• When you visit some Web sites, Firefox does not display the topic sites and sometimes the text correctly. It seems broken and unreadable.

  I reinstalled a new version of Firefox and set all of the default settings, but the problem still persists.   There has been problems reported with older versions of the Helvetica font bitmap or Geneva or fonts (bitmap) that Firefox cannot display in this size.
  
  Firefox cannot display some old bitmap fonts in a larger size gibberish and display instead.
  
  You can test in zoom out (view > Zoom > Zoom out, Ctrl-) to make the text smaller.

  Uninstall (remove) all variants of this not working do Firefox, use another font or see if you can find a version of real type that does not show the problem.

  There was also the fonts with a reported Chinese name who self-identify as Helvetica, in order to check that as well.

• Connection between the monitor and the Studio 1458 laptop seems broken

  After happily using my Dell Studio 1458 for a little over a year, all of a sudden my laptop screen went completely blank (not black, but a sort of grey empty) when I started yesterday. I have reset several times, I let it run and I heard the sounds of standard Windows startup. Since I assumed the laptop worked again very well, and I plugged an external monitor. I am now using the laptop with this external monitor and everything except the monitor to the laptop works very well.

  I can still go to "change screen resolution" and see the laptop screen correctly detected by Windows. I can turn it on by selecting "extend these screens. I can also change the screen resolution on the laptop screen. It's the same kind of gray white whatever I do. Of all this I conclude, there is nothing wrong with the drivers: the more likely culprit seems to be the link between the laptop and the screen of the laptop. Unfortunately I ran out of warranty three weeks ago so I don't know what are my options here. I started to disassemble the laptop to see if maybe I could plug a cable loose once more, but I got cold feet at halfway when I remembered that I had saved not properly all my files.

  Any ideas on how should I proceed?

  This would mean it's time to start trying new parts - cable first.  If that does nothing, try a new inverter (if the screen is CCFL).  If it's backlit by LEDS, try a new screen.

Everything works, but I have some old files still showing, which were not removed with formatting, and a file called "OLD WINDOWS" appeared.   Hi there, I recently had a similar issue on MacBook and Adobe technical support representative helped me to fix it.

  EDIT: the bug is back. Just after I set up my work space, argh. But at least I know what is the cause - when I move my main monitor to one secondary color picker.

  It's just a temporary solution, the bug comes back after a while.

  1. close all Adobe applications that you are running.

  2. open Finder and select in the menu go - go to the folder... and type in ~/library/preferences

  3. navigate to the folder Adobe Illustrator 18 parameters

  4 rename the old folder "en_US" "en_US".

  5. launch Illustrator (you can synchronize settings with cloud if you want)

  I can open the pdf file in the main menu on my hard drive (MacBook Pro - snow leopard) in Adobe Acrobat Pro 8 and Acrobat Reader 9.4.1 but once downloaded to the site via Dreamweaver MX it will not open in Firefox 3.6.12 or Safari 5.0.3.  I use the linker line arrow in the property box in the site menu, so there is no spelling error. Any help appreciated. Very frustrating.

  Under most of the cases I would have been skeptical of the passage of an argument when nothing is defined, but I thought I had heard (way back to AS 2) AS being based on some sort of JavaScript rules so I thought maybe that didn't matter.   Hello. I am writing an app for BB10. It will only be used with Q10 and Z10 devices, so I only use the methods available for BB10 API in WebWorks.

  I write HTML today and the layout looks good in the ripple. But when I run an app in BB10 Simulator with VMWare Player my layout HTML seems broken. So here are my questions:
