opatch lsinventory gives me a 'strange '?

11.2.0.3 RAC and DB.

Hello

Here is the output of lsinventory to a RAC opatch. What got me confused, is that the DB and RAC have the same patches installed.

As Im fairly new to the RAC, it is common to apply a "Grid Infrastructure Patch Update" in the House database? Or have I missed something here?

Look at the error message.  bash (shell processor) said you that he could not find an executable named "opatch.  And why couldn't he?  Because, unlike Windblows., * nix is not, by default, search the current directory to find executable files.  He seeks only the directories listed in the variable, or else he must be told where the executable referenced explicitly.

    You could do the following:

    . / lisinventory opatch

(saying bash to search the directory current... that is what the "point")

    or

    /U01/app/Oracle/product/10.2.0/Db_1/OPatch/opatch lsinventory

(developer bash the full path to the executable file)

    or

    export PATH = $ORACLE_HOME/OPatch: $PATH

    lsinventory opatch

(adding to the directory containing the executable file for the path.

As with all products Oracle Opatch has probably changed over time.
It was introduced in 9.2.0.6 announce 9.2.0, which is a valid, non-existent version number.
I remember that Opatch simply does not work for older versions of 9.2.
Also it is most likely at the outset that it was not possible to specify the location of the inventory on the command line.
Without more information from your side, it just seems that you are running the wrong version of the opatch against an incorrect version of the database. Not surprisingly, this translates exceptions, and those can also not be addressed.
Please make sure that you are running the correct software.
If you think that this is an error, make sure that you complete the retail version and correct from the start.

  • version 9.01 gives me a strange bug that his im not saying on the latest 3 outta 4 times it starts

I get a very strange bug with firefox after yesterday the upgrade to version 9.01

You are not on the latest version of Firefox. Update today

to get the best of the Web!

3/4 times it appears at startup which is strange because it is the most recent version and I removed the other oldest out of my system manually before installing.

I have seen this reported recently reset the default home page (subject: House) solves the problem. Ref:

https://support.Mozilla.com/en-us/questions/907328 Why my start page says "you are not on the latest version of Firefox. Update today to get the best of the Web! "when in fact I have the latest version?

    Solution (Posted by SafeBrowser):

You can see this message under the Google search box on www.google.com/firefox which is the old default Firefox homepage. It seems that this page is no longer maintained by Google. You seem to have the latest version of Firefox.

If you want the Google search page as home page, change your home page to about: House (a new version of the old homepage Google/Firefox update is now integrated into Firefox).

    See-> http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/How+to+set+the+home+page

    Also see-> https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Finding+your+Firefox+version
You can also see your version on the help > troubleshooting information display.

The simple solution is to go to Start, the home page, tabs and download settings and click on the button "Restore Default", explained How to set the home page.

first of all, I feel that if you 10.3.0.2.0 you must install patches for this version and not 10.3.3.0. It could operate a facility but it might give you errors, the best is that you upgrade your olite and then install the patches.

about the error you, I see that opatch found perl. Check where perl is installed .mine is for example
C:\app\Administrator\product\11.1.0\db_1\perl\5.8.3\bin\MSWin32-x86-multi-thread (im also using win 2003 Server). Add to the path environment variable (may need to restart the server taken into account). You must be very well

your way of D:\oracle\product\10.2.0\db_1\perl\*5.8.3*\lib;D:\oracle\product\10.2.0\db_1\perl\5.8.3\lib\MSWin32-x86-multi-thread is valid? is there perl? Set it to the path variable not perl_home
Let me know if it works

  • 1766 BWAA PLC - interface Labview Act really strange

    Hi all

It is a very, very odd response, I want to come.

I have an automaton of 1766-BWAA with which I am in communication via modbus.

an AIN, a DOUT and a DIN module is connected to the controller.

When I decide to the PLC using Modscan - coil status, entry status, registry entry - I am able to control the robot. Can I read/write of the coils, read AIN read module DIN modules. This is why I think that the problem might be with Labview.

but when I try to do the same thing with Labview, I get only the part right DOUT. AIN and DIN give me the strange answer. Here's the situation.

AIN module: I connected a source meter in AIN. I give the source alternately to channels 0-4. but the labview program reads the registry PLC only if I read once by using modscan. The sequence for detection of AIN in Labview is (!), concern 1V AIN0, run modscan, labview. apply 2v to AIN0, run modscan, launch labview. The current value and the previous value now appears in the labview alternately. the duration of this fluctuation is 5. (reading that I will be AINvalue to 1V, value AIN to 2V, junk, junk, junk and this cycle repeats. strangely, its iterations always 5)

Same situation with DIN. If I want the value in Labview, I read in modscan once. Its like he labview follows modscan.

It's weird. I am not able to understand why thi happening. VI that I used for the reading of the PLC is attached.

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Hello

The problem has been resolved with the addition of a header PMAV in vi of the request.

    Kind regards.

  • My laptop stops due to the malfunction of the fan and gives me a message about it.

Please tell me how to solve the problem with a laptop. I have HP Pavilion g6-2320er (A6) and on the Windows 8 operating system. For a year this laptop works well (from the date of purchase spent more than a year). Warranty expired in August 2014. (At the time where the warranty is not performed). The problem is that the laptop started to overheat. It just stops. I started to wear better past to ventilation air. But now it starts to stop frequently and even after the easy way, when turned, gives me a strange message: «the system has detected that a cooling fan does not work correctly...» Continued operation is not recommended and can result in unpredictable behavior that may cause system damage possible random stop. The system will stop in 15 seconds. To prevent stop and continue the operation... "Of course, I understand the general meaning. But what is the reason for this 'fan' work and what to do more of what's going on? Will pay for cleaning or even what options are there? Tell me, please...

If say you that the fan does not work, make you more attention.  Heat will kill a computer more than anything else.  The computer is in itself to protect its components before it is cooked.  Not just a matter of cleaning, the fan must be corrected or modified.  Take it to a repair shop, if you are unable to fix it yourself.

If you don't fix it, you have to buy a new computer.

    Hi Moh,

I see that there are two times "bin" which is in your JAVA_HOME path: /home/oracle/java/jdk1.7.0_45/bin/bin/java

Above indicates that by mistake you may have set JAVA_HOME=/home/oracle/java/jdk1.7.0_45"/ bin" (this bin directory should not be here in JAVA_HOME)

Where as the correct JAVA_HOME for your environment should be: /home/oracle/java/jdk1.7.0_45

The last PSU readme, I used sent me to 224346.1 to check the last opatch.  I really don't see anything useful here, but I have not watched the video.  I have something called 'Cloud Control', but it is not mentioned in this document.

is there a roadmap to develop quarterly patches for all parts of the OEM?  Should not be a?  It is quite confusing.

Yes, this is to confuse opatch under SGD House version you found is you want to search for.  Download the latestpatch 6880880 patch 11.1.0.x.x o - what is the version.  (Not 11.2 and not 12.1).

  • Database must be facing downwards or upwards when 'opatch applies' R12

    Hello

When I do 'opatch apply' the database must be upwards or downwards? It's 11.2.0.3, 12.1.3 on linux.

    Thank you

If the patch has been applied successfully (issue "opatch lsinventory' to check) then you should be good, just make sure you bounce the database. And Yes opatch to knock down the database.

    Thank you

    Hussein
