Look at the error message. bash (shell processor) said you that he could not find an executable named "opatch. And why couldn't he? Because, unlike Windblows., * nix is not, by default, search the current directory to find executable files. He seeks only the directories listed in the variable, or else he must be told where the executable referenced explicitly.

You could do the following:

. / lisinventory opatch

(saying bash to search the directory current... that is what the "point")

or

/U01/app/Oracle/product/10.2.0/Db_1/OPatch/opatch lsinventory

(developer bash the full path to the executable file)

or

export PATH = $ORACLE_HOME/OPatch: $PATH

lsinventory opatch

(adding to the directory containing the executable file for the path.

If bash couldn't find opatch, he can't find opatch, no matter what parms of command line you can apply to move up opatch if he considered.

As with all products Oracle Opatch has probably changed over time.
It was introduced in 9.2.0.6 announce 9.2.0, which is a valid, non-existent version number.
I remember that Opatch simply does not work for older versions of 9.2.
Also it is most likely at the outset that it was not possible to specify the location of the inventory on the command line.
Without more information from your side, it just seems that you are running the wrong version of the opatch against an incorrect version of the database. Not surprisingly, this translates exceptions, and those can also not be addressed.
Please make sure that you are running the correct software.
If you think that this is an error, make sure that you complete the retail version and correct from the start.

• Validation for opatch lsinventory test

I have a 12.1.0.2 grid and db Installation that was installed by someone else.

He also patched the system with the last power supply in April, but it doesn't look like this was done correctly. I want to be absolutely certain before I pretend he was not right.

Hello

Here is the output of lsinventory to a RAC opatch. What got me confused, is that the DB and RAC have the same patches installed.

As Im fairly new to the RAC, it is common to apply a "Grid Infrastructure Patch Update" in the House database? Or have I missed something here?

• 10.1.2 and 10.1.3 OPatch

All the:

We know that there is a House of 10.1.2 (Tools) and a 10.1.3 (Web OH) House on the middle tier. There are OPatch utility in both houses.

However, when I run the opatch-retail lsinventory, I only receive informaition stock (and patch) of the 10.1.2 House.

When I run the command ' which opatch ", it always returns"SID/apps/tech_st/10.1.2/OPatch/opatch ".

How can I get the output of opatch lsinventory-detail of the House 10.1.3?

Thank you

When I run the command ' which opatch ", it always returns"SID/apps/tech_st/10.1.2/OPatch/opatch ".

This is an expected behavior when you source file env of the application.

How can I get the output of opatch lsinventory-detail of the House 10.1.3?

Source file env under directory $INST_TOP/ora/10.1.3 .env and question "echo $ORACLE_HOME" check - should'nt return 10.1.3

• How do I uninstall the product from the Oracle EPM system

Hi all

y at - there no way how to uninstall a product of the Oracle EPM system?

I don't want to uninstall the entire system and install again, I want to just uninstall the specific product.

BR

Vladislav

OK, you can safely remove the service once the components have been uninstalled.

Let me know which are the components you want to uninstall.

To check the inventory:

Go to the directory OPATCH. This gives the entire list.

lsinventory-detail opatch - oh -jre

Ex: opatch lsinventory-detail - oh D:/Oracle/Middleware/EPMSystem11R1/jre-D:, Oracle, Middleware, jdk160_45

If you want to make sure that applications are not anywhere, you can also check in the following locations

1. connect to the Weblogic administration Console, http://servername:7001 / console. Confirm if the managed server is removed by going to the servers

2 EMP registry report (usually E:/Oracle/Middleware/userprojects/epmsystem1/bin/epmregistry.bat)

3. Windows registry

• How to determine the version of ogg of the cmd line

I am writing a perl script to check the inventory of the machine and so far I can't find the software installed on the machine but
I have trouble finding if ogg is installed and it has version. So far I'm capturing the output of two commands:

My $rpmResult is qx (rpm - qa - queryformat '% {SIZE} % {NAME} % {VERSION} \n');.

My $opatchResult = qx (opatch lsinventory-detail);

How can I capture information from ogg?

Thank you

Paul.

From the command line, "-v" option.

All ggsci, mgr, extract, etc. must report the same version in a single installation. Example:

$ ./ggsci -v
Oracle GoldenGate Command Interpreter for Oracle
Version 11.2.1.0.6 16211226 OGGCORE_11.2.1.0.6_PLATFORMS_130418.1829_FBO
Linux, x64, 64bit (optimized), Oracle 11g on Apr 18 2013 23:36:41
Copyright (C) 1995, 2013, Oracle and/or its affiliates. All rights reserved.

$ ./extract -v
Oracle GoldenGate Capture for Oracle
Version 11.2.1.0.6 16211226 OGGCORE_11.2.1.0.6_PLATFORMS_130418.1829_FBO
Linux, x64, 64bit (optimized), Oracle 11g on Apr 18 2013 23:45:44
Copyright (C) 1995, 2013, Oracle and/or its affiliates. All rights reserved.

The installation of GG type is also included, for example, "Oracle 11 g" means that GG is for Oracle database v11g (11 GR 1 material) or 11 GR 2 and not on the MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, 12 c, etc.

• Oracle 11.1-> SQL Server Express

Hello

I have an Oracle RAC 11.1, 2 nodes running under Linux Red Hat.

This database needs to connect to a SQL Server Express Edition 2012 to query a simple table with standard fields (varchar, number, date).

For security reasons, we want that the Oracle database initiates the connection.

Reading the documentation and various posts on this forum, I understand that I must install the database for (free) ODBC bridge or a bridge of database for MS SQL Server (need a license!).

I would choose the free one, but I'm just a little surprised that I have to install a huge soft (~ 550 MB) just to query a table.

• First of all, someone confirm that it is the only solution to interrogate a heterogeneous database to Oracle?
• Second, what is the maintenance effort for the gateway database? Is there a backup instance, or something else?
• Finally, if I have to use, can I install Database Gateway 11.2 (or 12?) and connect my 11.1 RAC with any problem?

Sometimes I wonder if I had instead to make an interface with the .csv files...

Thank you for your help.

Kind regards

Yann

Yann,

automatically when you install the Oracle database software you will get Dg4ODBC installed (on platforms where it is available). For you 11.1 installation DG4ODBC running on Linux, it is installed by default - you can check your Oracle_home is a HS/admin directory, you have the compiled executable dg4odbc (you'll find it in $ORACLE_HOME/bin directory) or whn using $ORACLE_HOME/OPatch/opatch lsinventory-detail.

When you do not want to install anything on your production Oracle server, then you can either install the gateway on the MS SQL Server machine and use the MS SQL Server ODBC driver delivered with your SQL Server installation, or you can also install it on any computer, where you find a driver suitable for SQL Server ODBC.

Thus, for example, that you can also use another Linux machine, install the driver ODBC for MS SQL Server on this machine, then on the bridge. Now, you can connect with your database of Oracle running on the Linux cluster to connect to the gateway on the other Linux machine. Then the gateway that will load the ODBC driver and connect to SQL Server.

The only restriction is that you must have a driver ODBC for MS SQl Server on the computer where you install DG4ODBC.

• How to find installed OAS edition?

Nice day

I'm doing the work of Directors on two machines with Oracle Application Server. They have been installed and configured until I started working here. I'm trying to find out what version and edition has been installed at the beginning. I already found the version number for each of the installations on the server (2 versions on all of them), but so far I couldn't find the exact edition of them. According to the old documentation here, one of the server has OAS 9i Enterprise edition and OAS 10 g 2 Enterprise edition. On the other server I guess I have the same versions because I see almost the same list of components, the only difference is that I have newer versions. Is it possible to confirm the edition information?

Server 1:
Oracle 9iAS R2 9.0.3.0.0
Oracle 10g R2 10.1.2.0.2

Server 2:
Oracle 10g R2 10.1.2.3.0
Oracle 10g R3 10.1.3.5.0

See you soon.

The command ' opatch lsinventory-details provide a list of the components installed in a specific ORACLE_HOME. Alternatively, you can consider running the tool of the GDR on all environments, you will get a wealth of information.

Looking at the versions, it seems that server1 has a have 10 g enterprise edition installed with an older installation of 9iAS (most likely run Java servlets as 9.0.3 did not include other components such as the portal, forms etc.)
The same is true of server2, the 10g R3 release was a single edition of Java, without forms/reports/Disco/portal.

Thank you
EJ
