Hi, experts:
We have 12.1.3 with Oracle 10.1.2 and 10.13.5 houses, 11.2.0.3 database and Linux.
I am applying patch 5499395 out instance target after the migration, as it is the Source. But I encourted errors:Appeal of fuser to check active processes. MISSING_COMPONENT: oracle.rsf.xdk_rsf, 10.1.3.0.0 (found a component of superior version) This Oracle Home has not required by the patch components/versions. ERROR: OPatch failed during the prerequisites check.
Please advice. Thank you very much.
MISSING_COMPONENT: oracle.rsf.xdk_rsf, 10.1.3.0.0 (found a component of superior version) This Oracle Home has not required by the patch components/versions. ERROR: OPatch failed during the prerequisites check.
This fix is needed for "iAS 10.1.3.0.0" so if your target instance iAS is greater than 10.1.3.0.0, so it's normal to get this message, because you don't need to apply this patch.
Thank you

Thank you cordially for nd...Hello
This error is obvious, as is your version of forms"$ORACLE_HOME/bin/frmcmp_batch|grep Forms| grep Version" return? Forms 10.1(Form Compiler) *10.1.2.3.0* (Production).
But the 5841985 patch is applicable to the * 10.1.2.2. * As you are to the superior version * 10.1.2.3.0 *, you cannot apply 5841985.
I believe you were downloading 7016961 for an older version, due to which he was pointing to the old condition sine qua non
So what you need to do is, in patches and updates, search for patch 7016961, then select iAS 10.1.2.3 Download this patch.
Then follow me 7016961 for the iAS 10.1.2.3 service reading and see if there are any prerequisites. They must be applied without any hitch.
Thank you

Anyone know or have an idea on what might be wrong here? Propose any possible resolution. Any help/suggestion will be highly appreciated.
Thank you and best regards,

Hi Qasim,
There is a similar problem here: https://community.oracle.com/thread/3583324
It seems related to the version of the JDK you are using WebLogic 10.3.6 does not support Java 8. See the matrix of support FMW here: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/ias/downloads/fusion-certification-100350.html
Kind regards
Jaap

Hello
ENV: Oracle Grid below 11 GR 2 (11.2.0.3) on OEL 5.8 32-bit
I installed grid Infrastructure 11 GR 2 (11.2.0.3) on the server of OEL 32-bit ('Software Only' option).
I applied PSU 16083653 IM home. I downloaded the last OPatch and when I check the opatch version, here is what I get:

OPatch Version: 11.2.0.3.6
OPatch succeeded.

OPatch is already a more recent version. Help, please!
OK I solved the problem. The error I was getting is misleading.
I did two things:
1. for the root user: "export PATH=$PATH:/u01/app/11.2.0.3/grid/OPatch".
2. thanks to the solution provided by 'Papp Balázs' in the post:
confuse OPatch error PSU 13919095 (July 2012)
I removed the location correct patch and re-issued the command like this:

instead:

all right.

Oracle homes 32-bit or 64-bit?
Hi all
I work on Sun Solaris Sparc 64-bit system, EBS R12.1.3.
When I apply the patches to applications, we go with 32-bit tasks. Even when we walked past java, we used 32-bit java.
Now, I have to apply some opatches at Oracle 10.1.2 and 10.1.3 respectively, until I have to download patches-32-bit or 64-bit?
Please suggest!
Thank you
Moor
I work on Sun Solaris Sparc 64-bit system, EBS R12.1.3.
I think your EBS installation is 64-bit.
When I apply the patches to applications, we go with 32-bit tasks. Even when we walked past java, we used 32-bit java.
If 64-bit patches are not available, then you can go safely with 32-bit tasks. JRE/JDK update is an exception, and this explains why he had to go with 32-bit.
Now, I have to apply some opatches at Oracle 10.1.2 and 10.1.3 respectively, until I have to download patches-32-bit or 64-bit?
Download patches for "Oracle Solaris on SPARC (64-bit)".
Thank you
Hussein

I am very new to Oracle, but I am applying patch 6880880 .
I read the README and User Guide. I currently installed on Windows 2008 x 64 11.2.0.1.0.
I unzipped the patch for ORACLE_HOME\Opatch112\OPatch $
I put variables $ORACLE_HOME and $JAVA_HOME. Confirmed the patch directory in $PATH.
opatch lsinventory works...

TLThere is nothing in this hotfix.
His latest version of the OPatch utility.
Exisitng OPatch directory and rename it OPatch_old.
You can extract the patch in a temporary location and then copy it into ORACLE_HOME or you can extract directly to the existing OPatch directory. Then check by using the version of opatch
[oracle@test ~] $ opatch version
