Win7-64 does not open Outlook 2007 automatically when I try to "send/as electronic" from windows Explorer. Not only it does not open Outlook, it freezes Outlook during initialization and I have to 'force quite' Outlook.
Thanks in advance
You can try to disable your add-ins. Go to tools > Trust Center > add-ins
If it works, then add them one at a time until you find one that gives you pain back.
Edit - another thing, you can try. Click Start > Control Panel > programs and features > highlight your Office installation > click Change > select Repair
I hope this helps.

Outlook 2007 - an attachment to the recipient has lost
Outlook 2007 doesn't send an attachment to the recipient. Recipient receives *.dat file or receives nothing but the e-mail message. The sent files are primarily ADOBE, but also included TEXT and WordPerfect files. ADOBE files have been published in MS WORD, WordPerfect, LOTUS 123 and TEXT documents.
I use Windows XP, version 5.1 SP3 on a Dell PC.
Any help?

Then, you must remove the Exchange account that you set up in the first place. Close Outlook and make the accounts Control Panel-Mail-Email and delete the Exchange account. If you find my answer helpful, please click the button "Vote as helpful"! Thank you! My Blog

You are using Windows 7, 64-bit and cannot open Outlook 2007...
I found several recommendations to 'start Outlook with the resetnavpane switch.' But I am so totally helpless on how to do this. The instructions State: start-> type; Can Outlook.exe/resetnavpane I do this in the command prompt? (guess I don't have to explain that I am new to this). Thanks for any help.
- Open the run command via start-> run or press the Windows Logo + R on your keyboard.
If you use Windows Vista or Windows 7, you can also open the Start Menu and use the search field to type to the next step. - In the box you opened in step 1, type; Outlook.exe
- Press the SPACEBAR once and then type a slash mark (/) followed by the switch that you want to use (see list below). For example, if you want to use resetnavpane the command you type in the Open box should look like this:
Outlook.exe /resetnavpane (note the SPACE) - To execute the command, click OK.

Outlook 2007 does not open after Windows Vista update 25 August 09 [Qosmio G50]
I thought that it would be useful to others to post my experience just now.
Yesterday (25 August 2009) my Outlook 2007 worked perfectly. I had downloaded & installed Outlook Connector 12.1 because I had received an email from Microsoft to say that the DAV protocol used for HTTP messaging would be withdrawn 1 / Sep / 09. I also noticed that MS had restored the POP3 service that they have closed a couple of years.
Then I configured the POP3 account and started working with that. Everything is OK.
Last night when I closed, Windows Update came and completed the reboot this morning. Outlook 2007 wouldn't start, coming up with the message: + cannot start Microsoft Outlook. Cannot open the Outlook window. Failed to open all the files. The information store could not be opened. +.
Nothing that I've done in this environment would allow Outlook 2007 load, I created a new profile and who was not good.
So I went back to the Restore Point system with the installation of Outlook Connector and everything comes to life.
I tried also the restore point which challenge the update of Windows, but who does not cure the problem either.
So, I'll see what happens when I reboot again, in the case where he had nothing to do with Windows Update.
See you soon
Very strange
But maybe the Windows update was really responsible for this problem it is hard to believe, but it's not impossible -
Microsoft Outlook 2007 does not open.
I know this is a long message, however, I want to help based on what I have or have not is. We use Windows XP, Office 2007 student and teacher edition, Outlook 2007. Norton is our protection. SuddenLink is our internet.
This was the week that won't stop. Friday February 4 our computer has a virus called Axel.dav. It destroyed the program file after file. We ended up calling Norton. We paid 99.00 for them remotely access our computer in order to remove this virus. Problem solved. However, the programs were still gone.We have recharged our Microsoft Office 2007 home and student version. I know that there is no Outlook, but I didn't, so we relocated our copy of Outlook. Although we have installed Outlook, my mail was rather to Outlook Express. With this problem in front of me, I called Suddenlink who helped with the right setting that outlook has started to work. It worked fine for a few days. Then, I was looking for an email I need and who had been backed up on an external drive.
When I clicked on the email address (ended up being not not the one I need), it opened with Outlook Express. It's an email that my husband had saved at work (where they use Outlook Express). A message came saying: do you want to be your default e-mail, Outlook Express and I said no once we clicked on this email then Outlook Express took over and now Office Outlook will not open. We tried everything from the system restore to reset navigation panel, to fix Outlook and Office CDs and their reloading.
I'm lost. I've never asked a question before so I really hope that you have all the information to help.
Thank you

open windows messaging files saved using Outlook 2007
I have several emails saved in the folders on my PC under the Windows Mail (Vista) and Outlook Express (Windows XP).
I have upgraded to Office 2000 / Office 2007 Outlook fact as my mail default EXE installed. now I'm reviewing these saved emails
with file extension *. EML for printing - and cannot be opened using Outlook 2007 - office 2000 uninstalled after the upgrade and after
import contacts and previous windows messaging emails.I tried to do a right click on the email address - selected open with... - then select OUTLOOK. EXE - no luck.
no work around? TIAYou get this error message because Windows Mail is disabled. Here's how to fix it:
Tutorial Vista - Windows Mail - enable or disable
As for the conversion of formats of messge, Yes, there are programs that will do it, depending on how much money you want... the separation with the fact that none of them are free. You can find a lot of them with a quick search on Google. Once you download Windows Mail re-activated, however, the rest of the transfer should be farily simple.

I can't open links in the email Outlook 2007 on Windows Vista
The links in my email do not work in Outlook 2007. I use Windows Vista. Links worked fine until I installed then uninstalled Google Chrome. No idea how I can fix the links?
Thank you
It's called the problem after you have uninstalled Chrome. It is ultimately a default browser related issue; There are different 'cure', but none exactly foolproof. Here are some of the threads I have my favorites:

Hello
I have used Vista before I put now to Windows 7. On Vista, I used Windows Mail as my email client. Now on Windows 7, I would use Outlook 2007 and import my old emails.
Before I upgraded to Windows 7, Vista help - I exported all my emails from Windows Mail on my external hard drive, where I now .eml files and in each subfolder of emails, I have a winmail.fol file.
After I installed Windows 7 and Office 2007 now, I tried simply to import the files exported from my external hard drive by: "file-> import-> import Internet mail and addresses-> choose the folder to the top folder with the files of e-mail-> OK" However, I always get the error message: "the mail folder not could be opened. If another application is using this file, please close it and try again. "I don't understand what is wrong and what needs to be changed that it works.
I tried the things:
* On Windows 7 now: I activated Windows Mail and imported the exported files, which worked well. Therefore, I am currently using Windows Mail as my standard client on Windows 7. Now on Windows 7, I exported my emails again to Windows Mail and tried later import new files exported into Outlook 2007, as described above. I get the same message error ("could not mail file be open...").* On Windows 7: I downloaded and installed Windows LIVE Mail. Imported from my original
(exported under Vista) of e-mails from my HDD external and exported them once again, in the hope that Outlook 2007 may be more willing to import files exported Windows LIVE Mail. It didn't work either.* On Windows 7: I opened the folder with the emails on my external hard drive and Outlook 2007 and dragged the .eml file in Outlook 2007. It worked, in a sense, that I got the emails and the content of these emails in Outlook 2007. This method is not, is to import the email title and time when he received etc. This method is therefore unnecessary.
* On Windows 7: I've always been able to import my contacts in Outlook 2007.
I really hope someone can help me and describe what I do to import my emails.
I appreciate all help.

Windows 7 and Outlook 2007, Microsoft Word won't open
Windows 7 and Outlook 2007 - Microsoft Word attachments are not open. Word opens but not the file. Excel works fine. Sometimes just Word opens and says not responding do not. If I erase the data word file in via regedit it solves the problem. Also, whenever I open Word I get the question if I want Word to make changes to my computer. In addition, I can't open Word files by double-clicking. I have to open Word first.
Techie Microsoft asked me to change a setting of compatibility on the winword exe file and it fixed the problem immediately.
