opening a port

It hurts to a server.  Whenever I try to access my server, it says that a local error has occurred, remote host refuses the connection.  I forwarded the port I use and created a static ip address.  I really don't know what else to do.  I've even unlocked the program I use, and the port on the firewall.  I'm not good with this stuff so any help would be appreciated.

Thank you

Xan

  • Tecra M1 - Modem does not work (could not open a port)

I have a problem: after you have reinstalled Windows XP and on my Tecra M1 drivers, modem does not work. It can not diagnose himself - he always comes a warning: "cannot open a port (COM). It can be used by another device or application. I installed the latest Toshiba drivers for the modem, but nothing changes. How can I solve this problem? Looking forward for your advice!
    Best regards.

    Hello

Have you installed the drivers in the correct order? Not? So do it!
Have you installed the software or additional devices which could have a bad influence on the modem?
Check the status of the modem in Device Manager. You don't see any yellow exclamation?

Try to start the test on the modem within the operating system.
Check the operation of the Modem under
    Start-> Control Panel-> phone and Modem Options-> Modems tab-> properties-> Diagnostics
by pressing the 'button interrogate Modem.

If the information window about the Modem contains a list of COMMANDS (including ATI2, ATI3, ATI4 etc.), then the modem is installed correctly. The ATI5 command ends with the number for the parameters selected regional (for example Germany = 06).
To change the regional setting please use the Toshiba Internal Modem region Select utility.

    Hi Ames66,

It happens more often because the firewall blocks the program and to allow that program to communicate through the firewall, you can usually do that by selecting the program on the Exceptions tab in Windows Firewall.

If you have Windows Firewall on your computer, follow the steps in this link:

Allow a program to communicate through Windows Firewall

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/allow-a-program-to-communicate-through-Windows-Firewall

Open a port in Windows Firewall

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/open-a-port-in-Windows-Firewall

If you use a third party firewall manually give exception to the program.

Hope the helps of information. Please post back and we do know.

  • Unable to opena a port through Windows Firewall in Windows 7 Home Premium

Original title: opening a port on Windows 7 Home Premium

Each answer to this question does not apply to my pc because of this: when I open the Panel it is not a Security tab, but there is a tab to go directly to the firewall, and there is no button in the firewall to add a port.

Any help would be massively appreciated, thanks :)

    Hello

According to the description, I understand that you are not able to open a port in Windows 7 Home premium.

Please follow the steps below to check if his help.

    1. Open Windows Firewall by clicking the Start button, click on the Control Panel, clicking Security, and then click Windows Firewall.

    2. On the left, click on advanced settings.

    3. On the left, click inbound rules. Then, on the right, under Actions, click the link of the new rule.

    4. Select the Port marked option and click Next.

    5. In the specific local Ports box, type the ports that you want to open, separated by commas, and then click Next. (For example, in this case, the TCP ports must be open are 418, 419, 420 and 421.) The wizard takes measures and open ports to receive data.)

    6. Select allow the connection, and click Next.

    7. Check the boxes for private or any other type of desired network and then click Next.

    8. Type a name (usually the name of any program to open). Click Finish.

  • Opening of port (s) IPSec on perimeter router

I currently have a PIX515E session behind a perimeter. This perimeter is connected to the Internet. It has configured ACL security. I want to do is use the PIX as a VPN endpoint and so need to open some ports on the perimeter router numbers to reach the PIX. I would use IPSec running mainly between the NCP and the PIX, but have no idea what to do with the ACL on the router. It's I would say "ip permit any fw - PIX" or should I say "permit tcp PIX - fw" Can anyone help with the port number is possible. Thank you.

You must enable the following ports.

access-list 101 permit udp any host eq 500

access-list 101 permit esp any host

  • Impossible to open a port on Win 7

I tried specifically to open a port for RDP (3389) and I have it configured correctly, including router - for the transfer, but the port is still invisible.

I used online resources to check that everything is as it should be with parameters and compared the parameters of this dialog with others in my network and they are all identical (as far as I know), yet always the port is invisible from the outside.
No other ports are visible when open, and I tried with firewall off and no anti virus.
What could be the challenge with the ports of this box?
Appreciate all the comments and suggestions.

  • Impossible to open a port on Windows 7

I have a mobile application that needs me to open the port 23424 on my system. I forward the port in my router and helped him. Then, I opened the port in the Windows Firewall. The app would not work. I put my system in DMZ, still no connection. I then unplugged the two firewalls, and again, I could not access the port.

I checked on www.canyouseeme.org. and it reports "error: I could not see your service to the 76.xxx.xxx.xx on the port (23424) reason: Connection Refused" I then tried a new router, open port, the same thing. I can't understand what is blocking or refuses the connection. No matter what I do, something is obstacle in this regard.

I have Time Warner cable and talked with them and we checked that their router is not active and acting as a bridge to my router. All other services are working properly, I can't just open this port.

I use Windows 7 Home Premium, Microsoft Security Essentials antivirus software and a router Belkin N750.

    What Miss me? Thank you.

You only need to run a firewall and not more than one firewall on your computer...

PortQry message means that your problem probably is on the router, since you can connect with PortQry to this port from another PC on your LAN.

I would check with the router manufacturers support site to help port forwarding...

N ° because it is a completely different situation.

When you open in port - allow you to access port 80 on the local computer from the network. When you open port - allow you to access port 80 on remote computers from the local computer. Usually there is no need to open the ports both in.
