Someone help me please! some time my cd/dvd drive no longer works and I just thought he was the player, until my father discovered recently that is the driver for CD/DVD... he had some ideas on how to solve the problem, but so far none of them have worked...
First I tried to update it... but no update not found
Then I tried to uninstall and then reinstall...
then I tried to uninstall the driver then restarting my computer hoping that vista would detect the problem and repair automatically, it did reinstall the driver but it does not always work with the same problem...
I even tried to download some programs that said they would fix it, but all these just told me that the pilot was already up to date...
I need this problem as soon as POSSIBLE, so I could really use some help!
Thank you = D
Hi leziegl,
Thank you for your message.
What is your make and model of PC? What DVD player, you are the problem with (brand/model)?
How your father come to the conclusion it is a driver for the disk drive?
Did you check the physical connection of the drive to see if a cable can be are detached?
You can test the DVD player by installing it in another computer to see if the device has failed? Reader Orpossiblyanother who is known to try in your computer?
You may have corruption in your profile. Here is an article on how test that:

Hello
19 code means there is a driver conflict such as two devices attempt to use the same resources.
Please make all below even if you have done some before as it is often the set of operations which solves
the question.Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double-click on the device - driver tab - click
Update the drivers (this will probably do nothing) - then RIGHT click the drive - UNINSTALL - REBOOT
This will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue below.Normally the above will solve this problem otherwise working your way down through them, even if you did
them before.Your CD or DVD drive is missing or is not recognized by Windows or other programs
