Opticarc dvd rw ad - 7580 a ata device. Cannot start car

I have a Dell 1525 laptop and a SATA from Opticarc DVD RW AD 7580 A disc.  When I access the drive through device manager it shows the latest version of the driver is installed (but the list for the reader has a yellow shield with exclamation point).  It does not start and does not appear in windows Explorer.  How can I fix it?

Most of the time this article solves the problem...

.. There's instruction manual and a Fixit. FixIt is not a good reputation on this forum, but maybe it's because we tend to hear only about the time that they do not work!

    Need help!
Recently bought a laptop Dell Inspiron 1525 using the Vista operating system.
The DVD + RW device worked but recently failed.
Device Manager found the driver who is Optiarc DVD +-RW AD 7580 A ATA Device
Device Manager is a (-) marker that tells me that the driver does not work.
I tried to update the driver but the message received is "already installed the latest driver.
I wanted to uninstall driver and rebooted the system.
On reboot, the system attempted to reinstall the driver for my CD ROM
I then received message 'disk device software was not successfully installed ".
Also received message "Windows cannot load the device of this material. Code 39 "
At the present time, my CD-ROM device does not work.
I would appreciate anyone who has a solution to this problem.
    Thank you in advance.

Have you recently installed a new burner software? Several of installs it burner can cause error 39. You can rightclick this link to another thread of responses on the deletion entries "Upper filters" and 'down '. You can remove those creating the CMD file I'll paste it in below, created by William Keener.

    1. Copy carefully and then paste the following three commands in Notepad:

    Reg export HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}-%userprofile%\desktop\CDFiltersBackup.reg

    reg delete HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}------LowerFilters f v

    1. Save the file to your desktop as DeleteCDFilters.cmd.
    2. Right click on the DeleteCDFilters.cmd file to your desktop, and then click run as administrator.

Note After running this script, all custom CD/DVD filter drivers installed programs maybe isn't able to use your CD/DVD until your reinstall these programs. If the script command solves the problem, you can restore your custom filter of CD/DVD drivers by double-clicking on the CDFiltersBackup.reg that the command script exports to your desktop.

Recently, I put a DVD disc into the drive. Then, once I closed it, it started to turn, then what sounds like a sound signal, spining, beeps several times, and this will be repeated for a few minutes. Once it stopped, it does nothing. You can not even here it spining. No AutoPlay starts, none Open box, nothing at ALL. The computer doesn't even recognize that there is a DVD in there.

So, I advanced and found in the Device Manager. The picture showed it was a disc with a CD on top (representing is a DVD/CD player) and in front of it, there was a «!» So I opened the information for it. Here's what he said:

"This device cannot start. (Code 10) »

When I try to make windows to search for a solution, it came not with something. I tried to update the driver; no effect. Tried neutralizing him and he the reactivation. No effect. Tried unistalling and restart my computer. When he tries to install it, it fails.

So now, I did everything I know. Does anyone know how to fix this without having to replace the drive itself? Or should I replace it?

    Hello

1 recently, you did changes to the computer?

Method 1. Uninstall and reinstall the cd - dvd drive.

If the drive is not listed, remove and reinstall the existing drivers.
To do this, follow these steps:
    a. Click Start and then click Control Panel.
    b. click System and Maintenance, click System and then click on Device Manager.
Note that if control panel is in Classic view, double-click System and then click on Device Manager.
    c. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on allow.
    d. in Device Manager, expand CD-ROM/DVD-ROM drives, right click on the device CD and DVD and then click on uninstall.
    e. When you are prompted to confirm that you want to remove the device, click OK and restart the computer.
After the computer restarts, the drivers will be installed automatically.

Method 2. The firmware was updated.
I would also recommend updating the firmware of the CD - DVD drive.

  • This device cannot start. (Code 10). Matshita DVD-RAM UJ-850 s ATA device not found.

The operating system does not detect the Matshita DVD-RAM UJ-850 s ATA device on my Toshiba Satellite. I tried Microsoft Auto difficulty and it didn't fix it. The CD player worked last week when I installed ITunes software. Now, the driver cannot be detected. Known corrections or suggestions?

You must uninstall, then reboot and let the program installation is the device when it restarts. If the correct drivers are found, it will install. In case of failure, it's probably because Search Setup default is files of the user and not the C:\windows\inf or directories c:\windows\system32\drivers\, which you can specify by choosing to install from a list or specific location, and then by typing or by going to the it. If this fails, check the bios settings.  But most likely your original driver was silently replaced, by a program system file or a third-party application. If need be, you can try a system restore to return the parameters of your system to a point in time where everything worked. I would try one more point to restore and not a newer version, preferably a restore point launched machine, not one caused by installing or removing a program or a driver. Use DevManView to locate the CD/DVD in the registry (be careful and do a prior Restore Point)
nothing change) - find the DevManView device and then make a right click on it free in RegEdit.

DevManView - free - an alternative to the standard Windows Device Manager, which displays
all devices and their properties in flat table, instead of the tree viewer

    I hope this helps.
