ORA-60019 on installation

Hi all

When you install APEX 4.0.2 on Oracle 11.2.0.2.0 on CentOS 5.6 x86_64 (2.6.18 - 238.9.1.el5), I get the following error:
SQL> @apexins tbs_user tbs_user tbs_temp /i/

Index created.

create table wwv_mig_forms (
*
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-60019: Creating initial extent of size 8 in tablespace of extent size 14
I suspect that this could be due to the configuration of the storage space:
CREATE TABLESPACE TBS_USER DATAFILE

EXTENT MANAGEMENT LOCAL UNIFORM SIZE 256K
BLOCKSIZE 32K
SEGMENT SPACE MANAGEMENT AUTO
FLASHBACK ON;
Anyone have an idea on this issue?

Thank you
Chris

Hi Chris,

The error you get is:

ORA-60019: creating an initial measure of the size string in tablespace string of size measurement
Cause: The NAVIGATION segment Creation failed due to the size of the tablespace small measure.
Action: Create the tablespace with larger size and run the command again.

It seems that the minimum number of extensions, you should have a table using a LOB segment with navigation must be a minimum of 14, and as the wwv_mig_forms of the table contains a column of type BLOB, you'll have to make at least the extent of your tablespace size (14 * block_size) + 1, which should fix the problem. With the block of 32K of your tablespace, you will then need at least 449K in the part of the SCOPE of MANAGEMENT LOCAL SIZE UNIFORM the CREATE TABLESPACE command.

Kind regards

Sergio

It is enough that one of them (the other should be enough).

I launched the ODBC data sources administrator and added a user DSN but gave rise to two errors:
    1. the Setup for the Microsoft ODBC driver ODBC routines oracle is not found. Please you reintall the pilot.

"Microsoft ODBC for Oracle" is a different provider than 'Oracle ODBC'. Make sure that you do not use Microsoft one.

    2. the specified DSN contains a mismatch of architecture between the driver and the application.

This can happen if you mix 32-bit and 64-bit. There are two ODBC Control Panel in Windows 7:
-64-bit, one is that of the Panel
-the 32 bit one is c:\windows\syswow64\odbcad32.exe

Because you use an Oracle 64-bit driver, you must use the 64-bit ODBC Administrator and 64-bit applications. If you try to use this ODBC connection with a 32-bit application, you will need to use the 32-bit ODBC (and the driver Oracle 32-bit).

In addition to that, if I go to the system DSN tab and tried to test the connection it gives me an error:
    1. cannot connect SQLState = 08004 [Oracle] [ODBC] [Ora] ORA-12154: TNS: can not solved the specified identifier.

Well it actually means that it loads correctly, Oracle is something. You must add an entry for the server you want to connect in tnsnames.ora, located in the folder \network\admin inside your Oracle client installation. Because it looks like someone else set up the server that you want to connect, your DBA should be able to provide the information that is written to the file.

  • ORA-12012: error on auto work "SYSMAN." "' EM_ECM_VCPU_JOB ' in the repository database

    Hello

I want to install Oracle EM 12 c Cloud Control version 12.1.0.3. I watched the video and I'm just following the instructions.

I created a repository database using a model of database I downloaded from OTN (database version 11.2.0.3). I chose the data base for the deployment of small.

Once the repository database has been created, the following error keeps repeating in the database's alert.log file:

    ORA-12012: error on auto work "SYSMAN." "" EM_ECM_VCPU_JOB ".

ORA-00942: table or view does not exist

    ORA-06512: at "SYSMAN.". EM_ECM_VCPU_COLLECTION', line 1432

    ORA-06512: at line 1

The installation of the CMS software has not been started.

In my view, there is a support Note 1570105.1 of ID that addresses the same error in the desk of cloud and is addressed by the application of a patch in the OMS_HOME.

Someone can help me please answer:

    1) is the question that I feel exactly the same way as in the notes 1570105.1?

    (2) do I proceed with the installation of the WHO and then apply the patch, or is there a way to stop it now, before we continue?

    (3) will be OK to disable just the job in question?

I think I saw somewhere that the SYSMAN schema should not even be present in the repository database before installation of the WHO; However, this is how he got from the database model.

Thanks a lot for your help.

    Emilija

Indeed the footnote you found is good:

    EM 12 c R3: running the reports EM_ECM_VCPU_JOB: ORA-12012: error on auto work "SYSMAN." "" EM_ECM_VCPU_JOB "(Doc ID 1570105.1)

However, I think it can only occur after the installation of the (12.1.0.3) WHO is an active work that has to do with the VT plugin (to manage and monitor Oracle VM) even if you have not installed this plugin.

Ora errors after installation of the patch.

If you do not want to stop the SGD just to install the patch, you can also run the 17066821\17066821\files\sysman\admin\emdrep\sql\core\latest\ecm\ecm_vcpu_computation_pkgbody.sql as user sysman.

This will recreate the package but now without calling the task if you do not have the plugin installed VT.

Your database has a name, lets call him ORCL. Oracle RAC, each instance will have a different name that is the concatenated with the INSTANCE_NUMBER DB_NAME. If node 1 will be instance ORCL1 and node 2 will ORCL2 instance. Your instance in the settings file number must also be set for each instance. If the parameters could look like:

    orcl1.instance_number = 1

    orcl1.instance_number = 2

What you were doing was this:

    * .instance_number = 3

Who tries to assign the number 3 of the instance to all instances. This is incorrect, as you discovered. First start with this number very well. The second instance tries first number but the number of the instance is already used, where the error ORA-304.

In addition, you should not use the initORCL.ora. In fact, in 11.2, you use a SPFILE shared for Oracle RAC. A settings file to be used by all instances of the database.

    > sqlplus / as sysdba //connected successfully with the message "sqlplus / as sysdba.

    > start

You do not use SQL * Plus to start/stop a database Oracle RAC. You use the srvctl utility.

    srvctl start database-d db_name

    srvctl stop database db_name immediate o d

    See you soon,.

  • ORA-942 from the page of connection details of OEM 12 c installation during 2-system upgrade database

    Hello

I am trying to improve our 11.1.0.1 to 12.1.0.3 OEM production using the method 2-system.  When I try to keep in the database connection Details page after you have specified the connection details for the copy of the deposit on the new host, this error pops up:

ERROR: ORA-00942: table or view does not exist

Unable to connect to the database and validate is a database supported due to one of the following reasons:

    (1) credentials incorrect

    (2) the auditor may be out of service

    (3) database is perhaps out of service.

Check the credentials, the status of the listener and the database, and then try again.

This error is not moved when we used the same procedure to upgrade a test installation 11.1.0.1.  In addition, I tried to change the connection details to connect to the repository of original production and got the same error.  This seems to indicate that the problem is specific to this repository.

I'm Tournai on sql trace for another chance and found this error in the trace file:

The following statement has encountered an error during the analysis:

    "Select count (1) in the mgmt_targets where target_type = 'host' and target_name ='oem12c.gfcsap.com"

    Encountered error: ORA-00942

This error is meaningless to me that mgmt_targets is present in the sysman schema.

Any suggestions on how to move beyond this would be appreciated.

    Dave

    Hi all

While explaining the issue to a colleague, it dawned on me that I had not thought sys could be running the query instead of sysman, in which case a synonym would be necessary.  I checked the test repository, and it had a public synonym for sysman.mgmt_targets.  The production repository was missing the synonym.  After you create the synonym in the repository of the production, I passed this stage.

    Hello

You can just set the TWO_TASK environment variable before setting up your example of schema.

    For ex:

    Export TWO_TASK = PDBORCL

    sqlplus sys/passwd@PDBORCL as sysdba

    @?/demo/schema/human_resources/hr_main.sql

Indeed, when TWO_TASK is defined, the default client connection uses TNS and alias in your tnsnames.ora instead of the local connection and ORACLE_SID.

"The TWO_TASK (on UNIX) or LOCAL (Windows) environment variable can be on a login. "This removes the need to explicitly enter the connection identifier when a connection is made in SQL * more"

  • Oracle Database 11 g installation problem: ORA - 12560:TNS: Protocol adapter error.

    People,

Hello. Initially, my Windows XP host name is 'localhost' and IP 127.0.0.1.

I installed Oracle Database 11 g with Windows XP successfully and all customers in the database with the database instance running.

For some reason, I uninstalled all of the database server and remove the whole installation directory /oracle.

I have configured the address IP of Windows XP in 192.168.196.101 to ping other machines.

For my needs, I installed Oracle Database 11 g with Windows XP again. During step 7 of 8: Oracle Database Configuration Assistant, I got this error:

ORA - 12560:TNS: Protocol adapter error.

I click on the button "Password management", there is no line in this window (no user name, no account of the lock).

I have check the listener as below:

    C:\ > lsnrctl
    LSNRCTL > start
His output: earphone HEADSET name has already been started.
    LSNRCTL > status
Its release:... Service DB1 has 1 instance. The instance BD1 ready state. The command completed successfully.

I check \Oracle\cfgtoollogs\dbca\DB1\trace file, the entry is:

    Listen [0] = LISTENER address = (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP (port = 1522))(HOST=localhost))

I also check \oracle\product\11.2.0\dbhome_1\NETWORK\ADMIN\SAMPLE\tnsnames.ora file and listener.ora file, the entries are the same as below

    HOST = localhost port = 1522

I think that HOST = localhost and port = 1522 is the cause of the ORA-12560 error because Windows XP was configured in HOST = 192.168.196.101.

But I do not understand how to solve this problem.

Can any folk tell me how to solve this problem? must cancel the installation of 8 on step 7 and install it again?

    Thank you.

    > The problem is that I am installing Oracle Database 11 g with Windows XP

Why? above is NOT a supported combination.

What makes you think that it should work without error?

    * .log_archive_dest_2 = "SERVICE = ASYNC LGRW VALID_FOR =(ONLINE_LOGFILES,PRIMARY_ROLE) DB_UNIQUE_NAME TEST = TEST'"

There are typo to redo transport "LGRW", it should be "LGWR", remaining quite seems perfect.

  • Values recommended for installation of PROD init.ora

    Hi all
-Assuming that I am using a 64-bit version of Oracle,
-that there is nothing else running on the server,
-that there will be no other databases on the server,
-that I have substantially more data on disk than I have RAM,
-and that I am using 11g.
I want to put in place an 11g database. The specifications of the server is OEL 5.6 with 12 GB of Ram and a Quad Core processor.
There will be 200 users simultaneously access the database. I understand that 10g and 11g are 'auto adjustment '.
So in this respect that I still have to change the values in the default init.ora?

Can you give me example of your init.ora PROD template?

Or maybe since my RAM is 12 GB, I put just the 'target LMS = 8 GB' and the database will be good?

    Thank you

    YX

Addition of the assumptions of Justin

Important parameters in the production will be

AUTO TUNE MEMORY_TARGET SGA AND PGA

    will be better take notice of v$ pga_target_Advice, v$ sga_target_Advice, v$ memory_target_Advice

This will help you you also for memory management http://docs.oracle.com/cd/B28359_01/server.111/b28310/memory003.htm

    SESSION_CACHED_CURSORS

Oracle monitors the SQL statements that are submitted for each session. If it detects that the same statement has been presented several times, it moves of the statement in the cursor cache and leaves the cursor open for future reuse. The parameter SESSION_CACHED_CURSORS controls the number of cursors allowed in the cursor cache.

The default value for SESSION_CACHED_CURSORS varies with the release of Oracle. If your instance is not configured to cache at least 50 sliders, increase the value of this parameter to 50.

    OPEN_CURSORS

The Oracle OPEN_CURSORS initialization parameter specifies that the number of cursors a session can have open at any time. The default value is 300. If the session is trying to open a new cursor, but already the number maximum open cursors, the error Oracle-1000 will be returned.

Parameter that affects the Oracle statistics

OPTIMIZER_MODE keep the default value for the parameter Oracle OPTIMIZER_MODE. For Oracle9i, the default is to choose; for Oracle 10 g, it is all_rows.

    The RAM management

    PGA_AGGREGATE_TARGET

    SGA_TARGET

ALSO UNDO_RETENTION VA BE IMPORTANT SEE http://docs.oracle.com/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14237/initparams222.htm

I tried sqlplus connection with oracle, sys, system as sysdba. I checked my group id and it contains: oracle, dba, oper, oinstall.
The files have all 755 and owned by oracle: dba.
I searched all over the web and I was not able to find anything that helps.

    Hi Tom,

uniq-d will be only taken as of the values that are adjacent, but not if they are separated by an another value (s).

That's right, thanks for pointing that out! I took the wrong line of my history of the shell. The last command I tested with resembled

    cut -f1 /etc/group -d ":" | sort | uniq -d

and of course, you could grep for dba, but I think you should check all entries of group duplicates.

    -Udo

    P. S.: thank you for tagging messages! It should be possible to remove the useful marker, but I'm not sure that it (still) works since the last update the forum software. Of course, you can use this message with the chain set for checking for duplicates.
